Our group of four spent two wonderful nights here in Sajarazza hosted by Lourdes. We had great communicaiton in Spanish and English in preparation for our stay. The house is large (3 floors plus a wine cellar) with space for everyone. Parking is right outside on a cul-de-sac street. The stone construction meant that the first floor was cool, although the upper floors where the bedrooms are located can be quite a bit warmer. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a brief tour of the property. It is a quiet residential street with an artist as a neighbor and virtually no traffic noise - just birds and a breeze. We found the house comfortable although, for our taste, the mattresses were a bit thin. We did not cook here but there are pans and plates and equipment to do so on the gas stove. This is the type of stay that is memorable for lots of reasons - the location, the village, the tranquility. I would highly recommend it.

The most wonderful stay and people
This place was hands down the best place we stayed at during my recent trip all over Spain. Sajazarra (the town) is a hidden jewel. It is beautiful, peaceful and has the most wonderful residents.
The house is a dream. I would absolutely love to come back, specially during Christmas. It is postcard perfect. It has its own wine cave (which was pretty cool), a big hearth to make fires, a huge table next to the fire where everyone can gather for a meal. The kitchen while small was well appointed with everything you could need.
The bedrooms were all comfortable and beautiful. Lots of extra pillows and blankets and towels. The bathrooms were clean and big and comfortable.
The top floor has a little living room and kitchen in addition to a bedroom and bathroom so teenagers can have their own space if they want.
The house owners were the most wonderful and helpful people. They left us a bottle of wine for us to enjoy and they stayed in contact throughout our whole stay to make sure everything was going well.
Honestly I can not say enough good things about this place. It was perfect and I just can't wait to go back.

Charming old place.
Charming place, old but with all the mod cons. Good parking right outside front doors. Our stay was trouble free and very enjoyable.
The town is absolutely beautiful. Javier has limited English, but between our Spanish and his English, we got along fine. He was very helpful.
A couple of suggestions. Replace old double beds with new queen size. More and better towels.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and highly recommended.

Excelente casa y excelente pueblo

Wine visit
We are visiting wine writers from the US. We loved our stay. Best part was the roaring fire on the cold nights. Owners very nice.

Bodegas y Castillos

Perfect place to stay
We were 6 people staying for 3 days in July. First of all, Sajazarra is a perfect place to stay if you have intention to visit Rioja region. It is a nice house. You stay in a really traditional place.
Owner and his family took care of us perfectly (thank you Javier :))
We were offered the dinner on a day of arrival in a local restaurant. The food was perfect and the owner helped us with a reservation.
All famous Rioja places are very close. The village itself is worth an evening walk around. We enjoyed the timer here very much.
