About this cottage rental
Located in South Tiverton this rustic one-bedroom cottage is tucked away one mile south of Historic Tiverton Four Corners on Main Road. Sitting on our 7-acre Christmas Tree Farm the 800 square foot cottage shares a home with us, our barn cat, our dog "Maple" chickens, goats, small fishpond and honeybees. (See website ("Clarks Christmas Tree Farm" for more pictures.) Near beaches, kayaking, SUP'ing, wind, kite & wave surfing, 5 wineries within 10 miles, farms, estuaries, nature preserves, restaurants, excellent road and off-road biking routes. Fogland Beach is 3 minutes away. We are on the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen's popular "Flattest Century in the East" course. Less than 30 minutes to Newport, 15 minutes to Bristol, 20 minutes to New Bedford, 32 minutes from Providence and 60 minutes to Boston. Make your own breakfast with our local coffee with farm fresh eggs (seasonal) and honey from our on-site free ranging chickens and bees. Bike/ride to one of the many seasonal roadside farm stands or coffee shops for more local treats. Please note if you are reading this on any site other than VRBO it is likely a scam - we are listed only on that platform. Located close to beaches, hiking, or exploring SE Rhode Island/Massachusetts scenic coastal villages this is a wonderful spot from which to launch your south coast adventures or just relax and enjoy life on the farm. The cottage has a galley kitchen with a stove, oven, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender and dishwasher. There is also a French press coffee carafe. The kitchen is stocked with condiments including coffee, tea, cream, salt, pepper, sugar as well as honey from our bees. The local fox population has relieved us of our chickens so unfortunately you'll need to stop at one of the local roadside stands for fresh eggs until we can replenish the flock. There is a gas and charcoal grill for guests use as well. The galley kitchen includes a bar with stools for dining. The LR has a sofa and several chairs as well as a television that receives NetFlix, Amazon Prime as well as most cable stations including ESPN, HGTV, HBO, NESN, etc. The cottage also has WiFi. A gas fireplace provides heat for the LR. During the summer months we put an Air Conditioning unit in one of the bedroom windows for additional cooling. Every room has a ceiling fan that can be controlled separately from the lighting. A canopy of trees over the cottage helps keep it cooler in the summer, and there are four skylights to add additional natural light.
The sofa folds out into a bed, and there is also a twin bed in the LR that can be used as additional seating. The Bedroom has a Queen bed, dressers and a closet. While there is a small shower stall in the bathroom, there is an outdoor shower stall on the back of our house that guests are welcome to use when the climate is warm enough. (Our house is on the opposite side of the driveway.) It affords excellent water pressure and a view of the farm while washing off sand from a day at the beach or on the road. We also have a washer/dryer in our basement that guests are welcome to use. Access is from an outside door. While we believe the cottage is ideal for one or two adults, or adults with small children, it does sleep four. Four adults might feel cramped unless you are spending most of your time outdoors since the cottage is 800 square feet total. Besides the queen bed the sofa folds into a bed, and there's a twin that serves as additional seating in the LR when not used for sleeping.
Stays of a week or longer will automatically receive a 7.5% reduction in the base rental fee - stays of 30 days receive a 10% reduction.
PETS: Under limited conditions we will host your well-behaved dog - we have free ranging chickens so are not likely to allow larger dogs or breeds prone to hunting. Unless explicitly approved please don't bring a dog - if we do approve your dog there is an additional $50 cleaning fee. We'd also require that your dog is leashed while on the property and that they are not allowed on the furniture or left alone in the cottage unless they are in a kennel. These restrictions are non-negotiable as they are the result of lessons learned the hard way! While we are not cat haters we cannot allow them in the cottage due to potential for future guests with allergies. Fish, birds, children and turtles are welcome if housebroken.

The sweetest, rustic cottage with everything you need!!! Clean, spacious, and everything we expected upon arrival!
The extra special treat were the adorable goats on the farm…
Tiverton is an adorable spot to visit…and if you need more information other than the welcome letter information.. the owners are friendly and ready to guide you!

The cottage was warm and welcoming with a huge front overhang with a front yard area. It is located mostly in the country and was very relaxing. The beach was about 30 min. away in Middletown RI.

My stay was truly magical. Eric and Catherine were super easy to communicate with, friendly, and respectful.
This little cottage was exactly what I was looking for-quiet and peaceful location, beautiful flowers and wildlife all around, not to mention their darling goats, well equipped kitchen, propane grill!, cozy couch and armchairs, daybed reading nook, outdoor shower was AMAZING, AC in the bedroom saved me from the hot sticky days in July, the skylights in the main room of this sweet cottage let in so much gorgeous light, the trees on the property were gorgeous and I even hung my camping hammock between two of them! Plus, the proximity to cute little shops and cafes was perfect. And, I rode my bike to Fogland Beach a couple times and that was idyllic.
I will definitely return. I felt so at home for my two week stay. There was no problem that arose, and the space was welcoming and super comfortable!
Thanks for a great stay!!

This is the third time coming here. I can’t say enough about how much I love Clark’s Christmas cottage. There is nothing I would change. Absolutely fantastic stay!

This little cottage was perfect for my daughter and me. It was immaculate, and stocked with everything we needed ( including a bottle of wine). The hosts were exceptional and very responsive if we had questions or needed recommendations. It’s in a quiet rural setting, but Newport, Providence and Fall River are a short drive. There’s also a nice beach 15 minutes away. I highly recommend this cottage for a quiet getaway with lots of options for exploring.

This cozy cottage is a hidden gem. It was exactly as described, the pictures don't do it justice. A lovely setting with plenty of privacy. The atmosphere is relaxed, peaceful and a welcome place to return to after a day of sight-seeing, hiking, beach combing, and shopping.
The cottage is near by many points of interests, restaurants, hiking trails, coffee shops, shops, antique stores and of course ice cream!
Eric and Christine were on-sight and available, as were the four goats :).
Looking forward to future visits!

Stayed with my wife for 3 nights. There is just enough decor so that there is plenty of space to put your things. Plenty of seating and tables in bedroom and livingroom. There are large ceiling fans to cool off and plenty of heating sources. Everything in the unit is there for a reason and really thought through. Host is Premier for many reasons. We said hello to Eric and his family and their goats. The entire area is beautiful, from the farmlands to the ocean. Remember to bring a windbreaker. Highly recommend.

Just came back from my fourth stay with my family. We love the cottage and we love the area. Perfect as a launching pad but also for staying in. Eric and Catherine are terrific hosts -- they stay out of your way but are available and happy to help if you need anything. Be sure to take a stroll around the farm before you leave. Ideal for a couple or a couple + one or two small children.

If you're looking for a safe, EXTREMELY clean and happy place to stay, you found it! This was one of my favorite stays! Not only was it on a Christmas Tree farm that you can walk around, but right outside the back windows are the most adorable goats! The property is so well maintained and all of our questions were answered right in our welcome packet! You actually feel like you are staying with family it is so homey feeling!!
We cant wait to go back in December to get our Christmas tree!

This cozy cottage was perfect for 2 adults who wanted to see the area. In addition to being in a great location ( quiet, beautiful, centrally located), the cottage had everything we needed and more (including Netflix). Also, this cottage was the cleanest VRBO I've ever stayed in! Would love to come back in summer...

From start to finish everything went well. I was especially happy that the bed had COTTON sheets and a couple of thin blankets as well as a fat duvet comforter. I never sleep well on beds with polyester or microfiber sheets. The stuff just doesn’t breathe! So thankful for excellent sleep.
The kitchen was rustic but well appointed, appreciated the water machine, as well, a variety of restaurants and shops, too. My 8 year old Granddaughter lived the goats.

The cottage was so cute, comfortable, and had everything we need. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage was stocked with extra blankets, kitchen supplies, beach towels. The town was also so beautiful with scenic drive, cute town, beaches, hikes nearby. The hosts were very nice and the cottage felt super private. We enjoyed walking around the farm and saying hello to the goats. Such an amazing weekend!

The instructions given to us made finding the cottage easy. It looks exactly as pictured and I was lucky enough to be there on a rainy evening. With the skylights, little windows and the bed/window seat, it made relaxing and listening to the rain pure perfection! The Christmas trees and the goats add to the charm of this little cottage and we absolutely loved it. Catherine is an amazing host that has thought of every detail and had it all typed out ready for us to refer to which helped with shopping, dining and sightseeing in town. The bed was very comfortable and the cottage had everything you could possibly need in it. Don't hesitate...book it, you won't regret it!

We loved staying in the cottage on Clark’s Christmas Tree Farm! The cottage is quaint, with a well equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher! The living area is very comfortable, light and airy. It is so nice to have the outdoor patio for meals as well as for sitting and enjoying the outdoors. The rustic gas fireplace must be nice on a chilly night, but we didn’t need it! The summer like weather was great for bicycling and just being outdoors!
Catherine and Eric are great hosts, they include information on many local places to visit and dine at.
The history of the Christmas Tree Farm is fun to read about, and there is a book on display in the cottage about Clark’s Farm! We enjoyed using Christmas tree plates and mugs, adding to the ambiance!
Thank you Catherine and Eric for a wonderful bicycling getaway!!!!

Great little cottage. Maybe a little rough around the edges but perfect for us. Hosts were helpful and very nice.

Owners failed to turn on bedroom heating, also they let the bbq gas empty and failed to have a spare glass bottle, they also let the water fountain empty and didn’t fix it for a couple of days - could be a great place if they would just concentrate upon their customers!

This VRBO is exactly as described. It is a very clean standalone building on a beautiful Christmas Tree farm. With all the comforts of home we enjoyed this quiet little retreat. Eric was quick with any requests we had. We would stay here again.
