About this house rental
Our Priest Lake "Lifetime of Vacations" home is located in Cavanaugh Bay on the East shore. This is not on the main East Shore Road as you may think. This is the original "Cavanaugh Bay Road" that dead ends at Cougar Creek. This makes it a sort of an unknown and quiet little road that doesn't go through beyond the creek. Another words, little or no traffic. One of the best restaurant/bars on the lake, as well as, the air strip are a convenient 10 minute walk. There is privacy on both the north and south sides of the house. About 320 feet behind is woods. The lake shore is about 40 feet in front. The shoreline is rocky but also has nice little sandy areas. The dock is actually quite large and stable compared to many on the lake. Trails and Falls hikes are abundant both on our road and a short distance north on the East Shore road. We have the best natural fire pit I have seen on the lake that is conveniently located off the deck near the kitchen and bbq. It will accommodate large crowds and big fires. You will need to harvest your our burning wood out of the forest behind the house. There is plenty up there! We also have a fire pit down by the lake that we love but find a little less use for.
The home itself is quite practical for lake use. It has a bit of a 70's feel, but appliances, carpet, and linoleum has been updated in the main area. The kitchen, barbecue, , deck and fire pit are all nicely linked together so no matter the activity everyone is close.
The Bunk House is quite fun for all the children and helps give privacy between the adults and children after a long day on the water. Its quiet and will accommodate a kid movie, or rock out session. They can also sleep in better in the morning if desired. There is room for quite a few in the bunk house but depends on individual needs or expectations how many you actual want to fit. We use comfy sleeping pads out there to maintain flexibility.
The property actually has lots of parking compared to other lots on our road. It is mostly flat or partially inclined. Loading in and out is a piece of cake right in to the kitchen, main house, and bunk house.

We are a large extended family of 14 who really enjoyed our stay thanks to Rob's help and advice. We found everything we needed for meals. There was plenty of outdoor seating for eating and relaxing and easy access to the dock. The kids enjoyed the bunk house, movies, camp fires, fishing and tubing. We would stay here again!

This cabin, while dated, is spacious, very clean, well stocked, and in a beautiful location. Owner was very helpful with any questions we had. We were able to fit 3 vehicles and 2 boat trailers in parking area. The bunkhouse was a great hit with the kids. Our family had a great visit. Things important to note: deck railings are old and rough (we told our kids to stay away from them), road to cabin is twisty and narrow if towing a boat trailer.

We had a wonderful time and it was such a great escape for me and my entire family. All of the beds were comfortable and the bunk house was a great place for the kids. Hope to go back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time and Rob is a fantastic "host". The property and layout is great for family togetherness, making new friends or quiet reflection - you can accomplish it all. There is more than enough to do with water activities, hiking, biking, ample games and relaxation after a full day. Our family loves to cook and everything we needed was there. Rob shared some great pointers of what to see & do before we arrived and added a personalized touch with the history of the property and surrounding area. One of our most enjoyable trips in a very long time!

Dock and the bay were great. The bunk house was a plus the kids enjoyed time by themselves and the parents enjoyed that as well. Grill worked great and appreciated use of the kyacks on the water. Plenty of fun board and card games to enjoy with the family.

A very nice location on the lake with lots of trees for shade and a nice dock for sun and swimming.

The property is very secluded and private and offers activites for all ages. The boat dock was stable and our boat was secure even during the occasional storms. We enjoyed the fire pit and the firewood is plentiful on the hill above the property. Rob was excellent to work with and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. He is familiar with the area and provided valuable information about the lake and services available. We will return again and would recommend the property to anyone wanting to feel welcomed away from home.
