Spend your vacation in Florida in our little paradise under the palms, where sea eagles and turtles are still found!
Welcome to our brand new Splendid View Villa, so-called because of the view that you'll have from our property and pool in every direction!
Our house is situated right on a water crossing with access (with a rental boat) from our own dock to the Myakka river and then to Charlotte Harbour and the Gulf of Mexico. For boat travellers, there are public docking areas all over.
If you are looking for palm-lined peace and quiet by your own pool with a truly comfortable house environment on the one hand, and looking to be close to the beach and shopping on the other, then you've come to the right place!
Our villa is peacefully situated in verdant scenery with no immediate neighbours and not a lot of traffic.
Similarly, all the shopping and leisure facilities, as well as several different beaches, can be reached quickly.
Our villa, rebuilt to a the newest standards in 2014, has a floor area of 183 sq.m (1,966 sq.ft) including its garage. The property is 1,000 sq.m in size.
The house contains a foyer, a living room with dining area, a den with a sofa bed, and three bedrooms: the master bedroom with a king-size bed and direct pool access and the guest bedrooms with a queen-size bed each. There are two bathrooms; the master bathroom has a walk-in Roman shower and the guest bathroom has direct pool access. The fully-equipped, open-concept kitchen contains an oven, electric stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, and other kitchen appliances, as well as a granite counter with bar stools. The laundry room has a washing machine, tumble dryer iron, ironing table and beach towels, as well as a double garage for two cars (with a remote control for the garage door).
With its tray ceilings up to 5 metres tall in the foyer, living room, den, and master bedroom, as well as the open concept design, our villa has become very spacious and regal.
From almost everywhere in the house, sliding glass doors lead to the pool and the waterways beyond.
The floor of the entire house is tiled.
The cobbled pool terrace is protected from insects with a large pool cage, and contains ceiling ventilation and variable evening lighting. Also, there is an additional open-air terrace.
Our beautiful salt water pool has solar heating and a small waterfall, as well as LED lighting with changing colours, and an outdoor shower and a pool covering for when 'winter' comes.
There is also a large electric grill, a sizeable dining table with six chairs and two sun loungers.
From a private boat dock, you can take a rental boat all the way to the Gulf of Mexico, or just go fishing.
New full-HD flatscreen TVs with satellite connections and more than 190 channels can be found in the large living room, the den, and the master bedroom.
The house contains modern air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a modern home security system, a smoke detector, lighting with dimmers and beautifully-installed ceiling fans.
The entire villa is for the exclusive use of guests.
You can reach us by letter, fax, phone, or, preferably, by e-mail. Further correspondence then either continues with us, or for our American and Canadian guests, with our American friends who live nearby. A written rental contract is then signed, which contains all the essential details. On site, you will be greeted by our American friends, who will give you all the necessary information about the house, and will be your contact people in case of any problems.
With the most beautiful beaches of Florida, namely those along the Gulf of Mexico, it is perfect for swimming, snorkelling, gathering shells and fossilized shark teeth, as well as going on long walks.
In 30-45 minutes, you'll arrive at the fantastic beaches of Boca Grande, Englewood, Manasota Key, Venice, Nokomis, and Siesta Key, with the snow-white Siesta Beach and its quartz sands, which has been chosen several times as the best beach in the USA.
Our house is located between the quaint cities of Port Charlotte, North Port, and Englewood, which offer great shopping facilities and restaurants.
All the best-known large shops are located nearby, especially in the brand-new Cocoplum Village, just 10 minutes away in North Port, or in the nearby Port Charlotte Town Center, which has a large cinema.
The thermal waters of Warm Mineral Springs are also located nearby.
Golfers will get their money's worth at nearby and exclusive Riverwood Golfclub, among others.
Sarasota is just 45 minutes away, with its marina and the exclusive St. Armands Circle, as well as the brand new and high-class University Town Center.
Just a little further on, you will reach the Outlet Shops in Ellenton.
Or, an hour's drive to the south, past Fort Myers, you will find the Gulf Coast Town Center and the Miromar Outlets, or to the north, past Tampa to Busch Gardens. For something completely different, two hours away in the direction of Orlando, you can go to Disney World, Sea World, or Universal Studios.
A rental car is naturally necessary in the USA. If you don't use navigation systems, we will of course have road maps ready for you. You can park in the double garage right next to the house, or in front on the driveway.
Our house is furnished for six guests with no difficulty.
We rent our Florida villa in the peak season from the beginning of December to the end of March only for full months.
The monthly rent is €2,600 or $3,000.
Outside of this peak season, we rent our villa for a minimum of two weeks, and for €770 or $900 per additional week of €110 or $130 per additional day.
A safety deposit of €350 or $400 must be provided. The final cleaning is an additional charge of €130 or $150.
A flat rate of €130 or $150 per month, or €35 or $40 per week covers additional costs for electricity, water, satellite TV, internet, home security, garbage pick-up, pool service, lawn care, and pest control.
Pets are unfortunately not allowed!
Smoking is only allowed outside of the house and pool area.

The house was exactly as it was pictured.. very modern and beautiful. Had all the amenities of home. The pool was such a nice bonus to have when the teens got bored or we just need some down time from exploring.

Property exactly as advertised. Ive been renting similar properties thru vrbo at least once a year for past 8 years. This was cleanest and best equipped in my experience. Check-in was super easy and Michael was wonderful about ensuring all was ok. I have been in property management for over 30 years so i speak with knowledge about the property itself as well as the management. I will be back.

I want to start this review by saying that this villa is absolutely fantastic and is in a great location for some peace and quiet. The view from the pool/lanai is the best I have ever seen in the last 40 years of renting villas. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would require. There is a double garage where the owner has a car stowed, however this did not cause any problems, as there was ample room for two cars. The nearest neighbour was 500 yards away, so no noise from them. Like I said if you want peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The bed in the main room was very springy which disturbed your partner with every movement. These next comments are not meant to put people off renting this villa, but for the owners to improve their accommodation for future renters. The villa has three bedroom, which could hold at least six guest, however there were only two sun beds next to the pool and because they had no cushions they were very uncomfortable. The pool had steps leading in, however a handrail would have been very useful, especially for older guests, my wife and I fell in a couple of times getting in and out. The property only has satellite TV and Internet. Both of these were the worst I have ever come across. The selection of TV channels and the picture lag were dreadful, making the TV almost redundant. I hope these remarks do not put future guests off, equally I hope the owner looks at my comments to improve his beautiful villa.

The house was amazing. Walking in the front door we were greeted with high ceilings, updated furniture and a great view of the pool area and water front canal.
Our stay centered around the solar heated salt water pool. The pool overlooks the water front canal at the intersection of 2 canals giving an large view of the water.
Our stay was for the month of April and the solar pool heater worked great. By mid-afternoon, the pool water had heated up to 86/88 degrees each day. The pool pump motor happen to fail during our stay, but it was replaced/repaired the next day. I still cannot believe that it got repaired so quick! Big thanks to the owner/local contact!
Eating our meals at the pool deck table was like eating at the best seat at a waterfront restaurant. Hence, the local restaurants did not get a lot business from us.
There were plenty of fish to catch in the canal behind the house. Most were catfish of very good size. There were many other fish jumping about.
Our favorite beach in Florida/US is Siesta Key and we went there several times (1 hour drive away). We also visited Manasota Key Beach (30 min drive) many times. Manasota Key is noted for finding shark teeth. We also catch several fish there.
The house was well equipped and everything worked perfect. We hope to rent this house again in the future.

Stayed at the property for 2 weeks. It is located in a rural location which is very quiet and peaceful. The view from the pool and lanai is just as pictured. It is beautifully decorated and furnished and everything you need has been thoughtfully provided. A car is a must in order to reach the many shops and restaurants on the US 41.

Lovely Villa, equipped with everything needed. The pool was lovely and the canal location was very peaceful. Close to all the usual shops and restaurants too. We did struggle with finding any water sports (boat, jet ski) hire locally but that would only have been a bonus to an already great holiday.

We picked this property mainly for the view from the pool and we were not disappointed. The house is very clean and comfortable. It more than met all of our needs. The property manager checked in via text to make sure our needs were met and was very quick to answer any questions.

We were impressed by how clean and well equipped the house was. Our questions were answered promptly by the property manager and the location was really convenient to everything we wanted to do while still being very private. We were able to get to beaches, nature areas and stores all within a 15 to 45 minute drive. We would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting a relaxing get away. This property was beautiful and the process was seamless. I have something’s to point out however are not deterrence to stay here again. Traveled with my 3 month old and almost 2 year old grand children and there was not anything at the property for this age group, portable crib or high chair. The master king mattress needs an update, very uncomfortable and squeaky, the queens in the other rooms are great though. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and hope to stay again as it’s only 7 minutes from my dad’s house.

We stayed at the house for two weeks at the beginning of November 2022. The house is lovely, the photos don’t do justice! It was immaculate, spacious, everything you need! The kitchen is very well equipped.
The view is fantastic, we enjoyed sunrise every morning, the pool and outside area is private and so nice and the pool was cleaned weekly. We absolutely loved it and definitely will come back! Mike who is looking after the house was in contact during our stay to make sure we have everything we need. Overall can’t fault it! We stayed in many properties in Florida before but this one is the winner for us! We had amazing time! Thank you Frank and Mike!

Great place! Quiet, beautiful and close to the beaches!
Great place to stay! Very quiet location with great backyard view of the canals and private pool. We didn’t have boat so did not take advantage of the dock and canal. Home was furnished with all the necessities- even chairs and other items for the beach! Just as pictured and described- no surprises! We would definitely stay here again!

Private Perfection
This home was truly wonderful! The house is perfectly placed in a more secluded area on the water just minutes by boat from big water. The views of the water during morning coffee on the lanai were wonderful as the sun began to peak through the trees. The house had every comfort of home and then some! The layout was perfect for the adults to have some quite time on one end of the home and the kids on the other. The star of the show was the 3 panel sliding glass door, which stayed open our entire stay, that lead to the lanai and saltwater pool. The attention to detail of decor was an added bonus!
When venturing out, the main road was bustling with shopping and food for miles. We traveled to near by Englewood and Venice, which was only 20 minutes north on the Tamiami Trail. Our beach days were spent on Manasota Key soaking up the sun, splashing in the water, collecting shells and sharks teeth on the beach. I highly recommend a trip to the Myakka State forrest for a walk on the canopy trail with some gator sightings. We even took a trek to Naples for an air boat journey that lead to lunch in Tin City! I can't thank Frank enough for opening his home to our family for a much needed break from the day to day grind.

We found ants when we arrived and the property manager, Mike, promptly arranged for an exterminator to come the next morning. Several remotes had dead batteries so we replaced them. By the end of our stay the grass was very high, but was finally cut and we could enjoy the yard in the last day. A few hiccups and it could definitely use a thorough cleaning, but we plan on renting the house again in the future.

Serene location
No complaints whatsoever. Best beds we ever experienced in a rental house. We didn't use the pool or canel since we didn't bring the boat or swimsuits this year. The dock was a nice place just to enjoy the sun. The Noseeum bugs were relentless on the Lanai, but we bought some fogger spray and bug candle which helped. Lol, typical Florida. Saw turtles, lots of birds and of course the alligator. Beautiful setting. floating by a couple of times. Nice location with easy access to restaurants and shopping.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The view of the canal was very calming. The house is very comfortable and had everything that we needed for our family (2 adults, 3 kids (10, 8, 5)).The communication with the owners and property manager was very good and pleasant.We highly recommend it!

Great house
My husband & I reserved this house for our anniversary. It just as awesome as pictured & the location was perfect! We visited 6 different surrounding cities during our 7 day stay! But, we were just as happy spending time at the house! We caught some fish...and even had an alligator “float by” to say hi (no, we didn’t feed it...lol!). Very spacious, VERY clean and Mike was very responsive, nice & accommodating! We loved everything about our visit & would definitely reserve this house again!

Really enjoyed our vacation
Overall, the property was in excellent condition. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. We were also happy with the beautiful patio and pool area. Plus, with the empty lots on either side of us and the canal at the back of the lot, the house was nicely secluded. My only (very) minor complaint was that the internet was a bit slow at times but this should not dissuade anyone from renting this house. The instructions for check-in and check-out were also easy to follow.

Beautiful House in a Well Secluded Location
The house itself is very clean and large. Placed in a very calm and secluded part of town with no interruption and full comfort. The only problem is the false advertising with the "heated" pool. A normal heated pool is heated by a dedicated boiler so it is warm 365 days a year, and this property has a solar heated pool, so any day that the sun don't shine, you're out of luck. Other than that, quite nice overall. Also, the Wifi is probably the cheapest option they could get to save some extra $$ because it's not very fast at all.

Und abends kam der Reiher vorbei
Kurz und knapp: Alles stimmte, ein tolles, sauberes, sehr schönes gepflegtes Haus in einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Das Angebot stimmte 100% mit der Beschreibung überein. Das Haus können wir auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Hin und wieder schauten auf dem Kanal zwei Alligatorausgen ´raus und abends kam der zahme Reiher und genoß im Sonnenuntergang, mit Melone gefüttert zu werden. Tolle Ferien. Vielen Dank an die vermieter Familie und die guten Geister (Michael und Julia), die das alles offensichtlich in Schuß halten.

Very nice vacation home with a waterfront view!
After spending two weeks at this vacation home we can say that we would love to book the house again. The house looks very nice and you don't have direct neighbours. So it is a very quiet area which is great because you can enjoy the amazing view of the waterway intersection. The house looks great and so does the interior too. Very clean and new. The service of the housekeeper is great and we enjoyed our stay there. The location is also very nice. At your home it it is quite and it looks like you are in the Everglades which is great and if you want to go to the nearest stores it takes you only 4 minutes by car. Very recommendable. We look forward to visit again!

Florida, wie es sein soll!
Ei n Haus, wie man es selber gerne hätte. Sauber, gepflegt und wie der Titel verspricht, absolut in neuwertigem Zustand.
Sehr ruhig gelegen, aber Nachbarn sind in ca. 200 m Entfernung schon vorhanden.
Ab und zu tuckert ein Bötchen über den Kanal und einmal hoppelten auch ein paar Fischotter über die Wiese hinter dem Haus.
Eine fussballgrosse Schildkröte ließ sich nur unter Protest von der Fahrbahn lotsen.
Der Pool war ein Gedicht und sorgte für den an manchen Tagen durchaus nötigen Abkühlungseffekt und der Käfig um den Pool hat neben einer schattenspendenden Wirkung auch den Vorteil, jegliches Insekt vom Menschen fernzuhalten.
Alligatoren haben wir bewußt keine gesehen, aber meine Frau meinte, gelegentlich mal eine schwänzelnde Rückenfinne im Wasser gesehen zu haben.
Im Dunkeln leuchteten manchmal 2 Sterne im Wasser auf.!
Aber nichts, was uns beunruhigt hätte.
Nah an der Natur und trotzdem zu Hause.
Der nächste Bäcker ist schon ein bißchen weit weg, so dass der Toaster und der Paninibackapparat regelmäßig genutzt wurden.
Die Küche ist ein Gedicht. Ich glaube, ich baue das nächste Haus um eine solche Küche herum.
Die Betten waren Weltklasse,
Schlafen, wie Gott in Florida....!
Ebenfalls Suchtpotential ist bei den begehbaren Kleiderschränken und den absolut funktionsorientierten Badezimmern vorhanden.
In jedem Raum mindestens ein großer Deckenventilator und natürlich die perfekt und unaufdringlich funktionierende Klimaanlage machen den Aufenthalt zu einem genußvollen Erlebnis.
Jederzeit gerne wieder würden wir dieses Haus buchen, sofern wir wieder einmal diese Art von Urlaub in Florida machen würden.

Beautiful place!
This home was new just like it was described. It is at the intersection of 2 manmade canals (according to some friends). It has a beautiful pool with an enclosed lanai and then the view of canals -- it was truly tranquil. We were actually looking for a rental in the Nokomis/Venice area but was intrigued with this property. There are homes across and down the canals but nothing next to you. You are truly in nature. We sat out on the covered patio and watched a beautiful thunderstorm in 70 degree temps (we don't get those in California anymore). The master bdrm/bath suite was spacious. The other 2 bedrooms were comfortable and the den had a sofa bed with a tv. There are 3 tvs total. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances & everything else needed but the things you would expect to provide. The master bdrm mattress could use an upgrade but other than that we had no complaints. I would definitely recommend this house. Even with relatives living in the Nokomis/Venice area the commute there was less than 25 minutes. Be aware that there is no landline telephone -- if you have ATT cell service you may only be relying on Wi-Fi which is provided.

Relaxing Holiday by the Water
My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks in November. We had wonderful weather and spent a lot of time just sitting outside and enjoying the wonderful views over the water. The view is the real highlight of this villa. The house is quite new so all the furniture and appliances are in a good condition and the house is tastefully decorated. The villa stands alone with no direct neighbours and is surrounded by woodland so we saw quite a few interesting animals and birds. Shops and restaurants are within a short drive but a trip to the beach takes longer, about 30 minutes to Englewood or Boca Grande.
We often holiday around the Port Charlotte area and this is one of the nicest houses we have stayed in, with certainly the best view. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to buy a new barbeque, the electric grill present is newish but small and not as powerful as a gas grill.

Traumurlaub im Traumhaus
Die Beschreibung von Haus und Lage traf voll und ganz zu. Alles am und im Haus ist neu, sehr gepflegt und schön. Es fehlt an nichts. Am besten aber ist die Lage und die Aussicht. Von fast allen Zimmern, von der Terrasse und vom Pool schaut man die ganze Zeit auf die weiten und langen Wasserkanäle. Ab und zu schwimmen dort Alligatoren und sogar auch Delphine vorbei. Und auch an Land kann man verschiedene Tiere beobachten. Man hat dort die totale Ruhe, da man keine direkten Nachbarn hat. Auf der einen Seite hat man also noch richtiges Florida-Dschungel-Feeling. Auf der anderen Seite ist man aber in nur zehn Minuten bei dem neuen, schönen Einkaufskomplex in North Port mit zahlreichen großen Geschäften. Auch zu den verschiedenen Stränden ist es nicht allzu weit. Schließlich sind auch der Vermieter Frank und auch dessen Housekeeper Michael sehr nett und darum bemüht, dass alles sauber und in Ordnung ist und es einem an nichts fehlt. Wr kommen auf jeden Fall sobald wie möglich wieder.
