We enjoyed staying in Yorktown very much. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything a family could need. There was an unexpected power outage due to a storm and the host was incredibly responsive. They even called the town to investigate the situation. We highly recommend this property.

We loved staying at this cottage! It was super clean and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. A super walkable distance to the beach and activities or a free trolley is located directly across the street and runs every 15 minutes. 100% recommend this property to anyone looking for a hassle and worry free place to stay.
4.9
Amazing location, walking distance to everything in Yorktown. Perfectly appointed property, nicely decorated, very comfortable and great for our family of four. We are already looking forward to staying here again!

You can not go wrong with this Cottage. It's very cozy inside. The location is Excellent. It's not to far from the River Front, a trolley pickup is just steps away, and close to the battlefields.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cozy cottage!! The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was really exciting for us to stay in an historic home surrounded by so much history and beauty!! Location was perfect to enjoy a different town each day!! Great place to relax and unwind after a day of walking!!!!

The property was just as described. The hosts responded immediately with a couple of questions we had. The cottage was clean, location great and a delight to stay in. I would highly recommend this property. The only negative I would say about this property is that the shower is very small, but we managed.

The cottage was very clean and the location was perfect. You can walk to the beach area or to the Yorktown Battle Field Visitor Center. We drove to the visitor center then did the auto tour of the battlefield. Short drives to Jamestown and the Newport News Maritime Museum and numerous other attractions in the area. The cottage is located in a quiet attractive neighborhood but a short stroll to the bay to enjoy the view and a meal. Can't beat this cottage if you are looking to stay in the Yorktown area.

Very cute and clean, easy walk to the water front. Would definitely stay again!

Pros:
-Wonderful location (loved the area and neighborhood)
-Spacious home for a family of 4
-The main living room was wonderful! Tastefully decorated, bright and airy, and the fireplace made it extra cozy!
-Clean overall! A clean bathroom is very important!
-Great communication with owners
-They provided lots of extras (soap, paper towels, ice, etc)
Cons:
-Shower is very small
-Could only fill the bath up about 8 inches before hot water started running out (told owners and they said that was the first time this had been reported and they would check on the water heater. Not their fault but still a bummer)
-Lighting in bathrooms was very dim. A counter top makeup light would be nice for applying makeup
-A King size bed upstairs would be great!
-A full length mirror upstairs would be nice for getting dressed
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this home. Although there were some things that weren't ideal, we would stay here again in the future.

My family spent a week at the cottage and really enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable week. The biggest plus is how close your are to everything. Just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to Williamsburg. We won't hesitate to book again in the future.

Beautifully decorated cottage in perfect location!

This was the perfect place to stay while visiting my family for Christmas. The house is beautiful and so is Yorktown. 5 stars!

We had a great time staying here. Leave your car parked and just enjoy walking to all the things historic Yorktown has to offer. Clean, nicely decorated, and the many historic touches inside make this a new favorite.
4.9
Wonderful location right at the Yorktown Battlefields! Beautiful unit, walkable area with lots to see and restaurants nearby.
4.9
Had a great time with our family in this cottage that is perfectly situated for enjoying all the local sites.
4.9
We enjoyed our stay in a clean, nicely appointed cottage in close walking proximity to downtown Yorktown. Small but efficient kitchen, laundry on-site, and large living spaces w/soft throw blankets and comfortable couches. Crisp and new sheets, soft and plush towels, available extras like Keurig, hair dryer, and dishware. Slight road noise on occasion, but feels quite private, seeing very few people coming and going. Easy check-in and access, and local artwork on display in the home. Would highly recommend this property for private upstairs master and two twins downstairs off living area.

When we arrived, the cottage was very clean and in a wonderful location. The only hiccup we had was getting the access code to go into the cottage, but that was quickly resolved.
The cottage itself was quirky, but very nice. The kitchen was small, but big enough for us to make breakfast each morning and there were ample pans and utensils to do so. Make sure you bring everything you need to cook as there are no spices, etc. in the cottage, which didn't really bother us because the owner let us know ahead of time, so we came prepared.
The main sitting room is AWESOME! It is big and bright with nice ceilings and had plenty of seating for family chats and a good space for game time and card playing.
The bedrooms were a decent size and my mom, who is older was able to take the bedroom on the first floor which minimized any steps.
The only inconvenience was really the bathrooms. Although there was a very nice soaking tub on the second floor, there was no shower or shower attachment, which was fine (stated in listing) but the downstairs bathroom shower was tiny and we had to share it among the three of us. We did fine and this didn't outweigh the location of the cottage, super easy walk to the waterfront, coffee shop and restaurants.
Suggestion to the owner....a little more light and maybe expanded dining in the sitting room near the kitchen would make the cottage even nicer than it already is.
Thanks for a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely spot for my 80 year old dad and nephew this week. We don’t have the space for guests and this was perfect. The home is incredibly clean and very well appointed. Everything you would need for a visit was available, kitchen was great for breakfast and warming leftovers. House was as described, very convenient to Yorktown waterside to see the river and grab a meal. They raved about their stay and I appreciated it knowing they were comfortable. I would strongly recommend this rental and hope to return.

The cottage was in a great location, well equipped and very spacious. An excellent place to stay

My husband and I came to the area to attend our son’s graduation & promotion at the Coast Guard training center in Yorktown. This property was conveniently located to the training center as well as to Williamsburg & Jamestown, which we toured while in the area. It’s also a few blocks walk to Yorktown that had cute shops as well as numerous historical locations to read about. The house was immaculate and spacious making our stay very comfortable. The owners have done a great job decorating the house as well. I would highly recommend staying at this property!
4.9
Check in was easy and so was communication with host. The location could not have been better.
4.9
The location is perfect for discovering all that Historic Yorktown has to offer. The location is across the street from the trolley stop and within two blocks of the beautiful river walk/beach area. We enjoyed meals outside on the patio at the Water Street Grille overlooking the river. We also enjoyed the American Revolution Museum and the beautiful drives on the Colonial Parkway to the Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg.
The cottage is large and suited our family’s needs! The best room is the vaulted hearth room with a gas fireplace, comfortable seating, and a game/dining table with 4 chairs. The kitchen was small, but had all the amenities needed for meal prep. The stools were way too short for sitting comfortably at the island, so we did not eat in the kitchen but did not mind. The upstairs is cooled with a window unit which could not quite reach the bathroom. It was 102 degrees in September the day we arrived!!! I was grateful for the fan we brought to cool it down in the bathroom. The upper bathroom (while large)only has a large jetted bathtub with no shower. We did not use it, but used the only shower downstairs. If you are claustrophobic, the shower downstairs is tiny with just a shower curtain. We would have preferred to have a stackable washer/dryer in the laundry room next door to accommodate a larger shower. Ideally there should be a shower option upstairs as well. However, the cottage overall was very nice and gave us the charm/location

Minute to Yorktown. Wonderful location and very clean. Thanks.

The property owner has put so much heart into this cottage. The decor matches the vibe of Yorktown. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for your stay (less food of course). However, the grocery store and ABC store are just a few miles down the road. The beds are comfortable and the linens are soft. I highly recommend this cottage and the one adjacent to it.

Our stay at the Yorktown cottage was so much fun! The cottage was very unique and well kept. Communication was exceptional. The area offered many places to visit. The farmers market was a must see and Carrot Tree was a must eat!
4.9
Lovely comfortable cottage! Was everything the pictures show and great location. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

This was a wonderful experience. Clean, spacious, and anything you could want is there. The cottage is beautifully decorated. My teen loved to go down to the waterfront on his bike and this was centrally located to everywhere, it seemed. Hosts were wonderful. Would highly recommend to anyone considering…

My family of 4 enjoyed a wonderful stay at the cottage in Yorktown. The cottage is clean, comfortable and very charming with artwork from the previous resident artist. Centrally located, about a 5 minute walk to the small downtown with a Saturday Farmers Market, stores, restaurants and a beach. We spent our week visiting America's Historic Triangle and took day trips to the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach. Would definitely stay here again.
4.9
The property is located in the most advantageous spot with walkable access to all of Yorktown's best activities, restaurants, pubs and cafes. And a quick and beautiful drive to Williamsburg on the parkway.
The cottage itself is very relaxing and comfortable not to mention beautifully taken care of inside and out.
4.9
Beautiful cottage by the waterfront and very accessible by way of walk, trolley or quick ride. Great family vacation spot for those looking for a quick getaway and near all the history you could want. Could use some extra kitchen necessity items (i.e. aluminum foil, butter, sponges), cleaning in books and crannies and toddler-safe aware rooms but mere minor things. Thanks for the memories!
4.9
Great place to stay. Walking distance to the Riverwalk. Nice Cozy place to stay for 4. If you like American History, this is the place to Visit Yorktown and stay at this Great Cottage.

The house was very nice & had everything we needed & then some during our stay. The location is a quiet neighborhood, very close to the beach area. It’s located right across the street from the trolley. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Property was great! Nicely setup and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach. Trolley was very convenient. Just one thing to note, there was a cut on the leather ottoman. Left around 9:15. Had a wonderful time. Recommend lthe 7 day three city pass. Thanks for a great vacation!!!!🤗🤗🤗

Perfect cozy clean cottage in the quaint town of Yorktown. We could not have been more pleased and can only hope we will return. Thank you!
4.9
We really enjoyed this house. It is spacious, beautifully appointed, well-equipped and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the gas fireplace to add a little atmosphere to our evenings in the big family room. As mentioned in tthe title, this house is perfectly located if you are exploring the Yorktown/Jamestown area. It is an easy couple of blocks walk to the York River where there are nice shops and restaurants and of course the Museum of the American Revolution. The Mobjack Cafe is one block away for a coffee or light breakfast. It is a really nice area to walk around. Hard to beat this house. Thanks for a great stay.
4.9
Yorktown cottage was spacious, clean and conveniently located. Great location to take in all that Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown have to offer. Enjoyed our stay!
4.9
Our family loved staying at the Yorktown Cottage. The cottage is immaculate and really well equipped. We loved the large great room with double height ceilings, where we could turn on the fireplace with a flick of the switch, and sit and play games as a family. The kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay. The beds were very comfortable. The location is great - so close to Yorktown Battlefield and a quick drive to Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestowne. We'd love to stay here again.
4.9
This place was just amazing, it has such charm and it was extremely clean. The owners were so easy to communicate. Communicate. I had a small problem getting in because the code was wrong but they immediately answered and got me into the house. The distance to the shops and the water and the restaurants was perfect, I parked my car and we walked everywhere. I would definitely stay here again.
