Breakfast was delicious and was served in great quantities! The location was also excellent and we loved exploring the town.
The staff never asked us if we were enjoying our stay which I thought was a little strange.

no issues
uneven floor

A bit disappointing given it’s a tea room.
The toast and poached egg.

Location excellent, staff superb, room and meals top notch

Ot was very cosy and authentic.
The only problem was I had to wait 45 minutes for my breakfast on my second morning and 15 minutes before anyone came to my table.
4.5
Great location , rooms nicely furnished, good breakfast
Not told about all of room features on arrival - did not realise about veluxe window blind. Shower could have been hotter and shower head faulty. Toiletries very basic for price of room
4.5
Right in the centre of the town and the bedrooms were above the Tea rooms.
The room was clean and comfortable. The building is old so it has quirks which adds to its charm.
Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices. We had a full English and a scrambled egg, smoked salmon and toast. All cooked to perfection.
Nothing really to dislike and we would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, good central location, comfortable.
We were on the ground floor so during the tea rooms opening hours the room wasn’t very private as people sat right outside your window & we could hear their conversations but it didn’t affect us too much as we were out most of the time & it was very quiet once the tea room had closed.
Some biscuits in the room would have been nice too.

The staff at breakfast and check in were polite and friendly
Room was very small and limited light due to location we had to keep blinds closed all the time

Nothing really except no biscuits in bedroom.

The breakfast was the best we had in any guesthouse during our trip in England. The Hens Nest was clean, well-maintained, beautifully decorated. Bantam Tea Rooms is perfectly situated, in the center of town. The staff were all professional, knowledgeable, and warm. Check in and out was easy. We will definitely recommend to friends!
There was nothing we didn't like, it exceeded our expectations.

Pekin room was lovely with great views. Bed was comfortable and the shower was great.
Staff were all friendly and accommodating even though they were rushed off their feet.
Breakfast we had was good and the other food looked delicious.
I filled in the online "check-in" form and sent a subsequent email asking for an early check in or somewhere to leave our bags and never received a reply.
We arrived just after 2pm (in between a wedding ceremony and reception) and our room was yet to be cleaned. The member of staff did apologise, but did say "well check in is from 2," suggesting we were early (we weren't).
B and B menu appears reduced from the Tea Room menu itself. I have happily paid extra for the full range.

The breakfast was very good. However, it would have been nice to have some fruit particularly fresh fruit salad. The location and premises ideal.
Because we were asked to book online, I mistakenly booked through booking.com which cost £30 more than if I had gone to the proprietor’s website!

I loved everything about Bantam Tea Rooms! Lovely updated rooms in a beautiful old building, kind staff and a yummy hearty breakfast. Excellent centre-of-town (yet totally quiet) location. The perfect spot to start my journey down the Cotswold Way. Loved it!

Beautiful location, fab room, extremely clean lovely staff and excellent breakfast.

The hot plate breakfast on our 2nd day as opposed to the previous one.
Being put in the SILKIE room (in the car park) when I had specifically chosen the PEKIN Superior Double Room, being fobbed off by informing us that the SILKIE was the same. It’s not, & it costs less per night.
Being charged the PEKIN rate of £330 for two nights in the SILKIE room & when we both objected we were informed by “Carolyn” that the increase was the “Weekend Rate”. I have searched through the Terms & Conditions of Bantam Tea Rooms & there is no mention of “Weekend Rates”. This was a “respite” break after 6 months of non stop “Caring” for my step daughter in our house (Cancer) & it’s horrible to be fleeced like this & ruined our weekend stay in the Bantam Tea Rooms.
