About this house rental

PET FRIENDLY, Sea Views. FREE WIFI, Close to 3 1/2 Golf Courses & Local Wineries,waterfalls, country walks and trails great fishing and only a 2 minute walk to beach.
In winter this house has the most wonderful OPEN FIRE which fills the room with heat like no other and in summer the wonderful deck has a BBQ and outdoor setting, so you can enjoy the magnificent sunsets every night.
Escape the hustle and bustle of the city in a very quiet peaceful suburb which is surpassed by none.
This home is a one hour drive from Adelaide and you feel like you are in the country but are at one of the most beautiful unspoilt beaches in South Australia. This house has a fully fenced in yard for dogs, and the staircase has a gate with a lock to keep your small children safe.
Please note, ALL ADULTS MUST BE 30 YEARS OR MORE TO RENT THIS HOME, verification must be shown and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
This home has all modern facilities including split system R/C air conditioner upstairs (with 2 hour timer), Delonghi Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, separate freezer, microwave, 2 fridges, electric oven with 4 hotplates separate griller and oven, 4 Burner Gas BBQ (2 gas bottles are supplied but we have found that in the busy Christmas period these both tend to run out having back to back tenants). To compensate for this we have a jar on the fridge and each time you use the BBQ $2.50 is put in the jar. If a bottle does run out during your stay please use the money and swap the gas bottle at the service station, Mitre 10 or the supermarket), Ipod docking station/CD player, 2 HD televisions, 2 bedrooms both with Queen Beds fitted with electric blankets and one with a baby cot, downstairs TV room with 3 bunk beds (6 single beds). TENANTS MUST SUPPLY OWN LINEN. TOP AND BOTTOM SHEETS FOR ALL BEDS, PILLOW CASES AND BATH TOWELS. (Doona's and pillows on all beds are provided.) The bunk beds are for children not adults please.
Although the house sleeps 10, it is more comfortable with 8 people, 4 adults and 4 children, especially in winter when it is raining and all are inside.
For long weekends, it is a minimum 3 nights rental, however, you are entitled to a late check out on the Monday being 5pm instead of the normal 10am checkout.
There are shops both in Normanville and Yankalilla, which are the closest towns to Carrickalinga, only 4km drive or a lovely walk, with a paved path. There is a Mitre 10, Chemist, Foodland, Bakery, Pub and lots of take away food shops, plus more, to cover all your needs. There are a few local wineries, which are always a pleasure to visit and 3 and a half golf courses within 10 minutes drive. If you love fishing, I have caught, sand whiting, salmon, mullet, tommies and flathead from the beach and also a short drive away is Second Valley, which is a great spot for squidding.

Julie was very helpful and lovely to deal with. The property is in a prine location and the balcony view was perfect for watching the Aurora. The kids loved having their own space downstairs while the parents enjoyed the views above. The property is very well equipped. Would love to stay again in the colder weather and get that fire going. We will stay again.

We’ve just completed four weeks in this delightful beach house. The area is well known to us and it was delightful to catch up with friends while meandering along the pristine beach. Being able to come “home” to this well equipped, comfortable house was a bonus as was the very efficient aircon during a short, intense heat spell.

We absolutely loved this cosy house at Carrickalinga which was dog friendly and had plenty of room for myself, my Hubby and our three small furbabies! It's only a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach and it has a beautiful fireplace upstairs as well as a BBQ and a big backyard that is fully fenced! Also the owner Julie is very lovely and so accomodating! We didn't want to come back home!

The house was situated one street back from the beach and had lovely sunset views. It was very well equipped and the owner was very easy to communicate with. Akso has the added bonus of being able to bring the dog. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic day literally one minute walk to the beach- Beautiful views from the balcony and a majestic fireplace to keep us warm. The owner was so easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. We had two dogs it’s all enjoyed their stay as well. We highly recommend this property

We loved every minute. Enjoyed that the property held many fabulous memories of others. Woke each morning to tiny birds in the shrubs outside the bedroom windows, and the sound of rolling waves. The kids snorkelled every day and we bathed with the dolphins! A magical holiday.

Great location, from the moment you enter the property you start to unwind. The beach is perfect white sand and the water crystal clear. The kids loved snorkelling and paddle noarding around the rocks. Sorry we didn't stay longer.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Fully secured yard for the dogs and the kids. Had everything we needed. Facilities were clean, beds were comfy. Bit of a tight fit with 4 teens but out all day, BBQ and movie at night. Thankyou Julie for the super late check out.

Two storey beach house with view of the ocean was just what we wanted for our 4 day break from the city. Kitchen and bathrooms were somewhat outdated but the house had all the furniture and appliances needed for an enjoyable holiday. Fully fenced property ideal for our dog. 5pm checkout on last day was a definite bonus.

Myself, husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, my parents and in-laws all stayed together in this house for a long weekend. It was well set out with comfortable beds and living areas. It’s so close to the beautiful carrickalinga beach with just a short 3 minute walk to get there. It’s a great place for 2 families with kids or our situation of the grandparents coming along. Beach views from the balcony and plenty of seating. Large yard for our dogs to run around too. Julie was amazing throughout! Thank you and we will definitely be back again.

With great weather we spent most of our time in the beach walking and swimming. We used the deck to unwind in the evenings which was fantastic. Our dog loved the fully fenced garden! :)
