Historic house built in 1920 has 9 bedrooms, 2 Large Lofts and 3 full baths. With three acres of stream lined property. Has a Volleyball/badminton court, two fire pits.

All events need to be approved. This includes any gatherings that have people/guests coming to the house that are not staying overnight.
All event rentals need to go through "The Party Shack Pocono Party Rentals"
All events over 30 people require porta-potties from Party Shack.
All vendors, DJ, photographers, etc need to have insurance and must provide a COI prior to arrival. Failure to do so will result in vendor not having access to the property. We reserve the right to access the property at our discretion.

What is the supply fee for? The supply fee covers toiletries, wood for the fireplace and fire pits, cooking gas, heating oil, kitchen expendables- towels, soaps, cleaning supplies etc. charcoal for the bbq and gas for the bbq.
Are Linens included? Yes, each bed has linens and shower towel.
Can we reduce the cleaning fee? No its a big house and takes a full day to clean.
Can we host more then 30 people? Yes but we need to know how many people in total and charge accordingly. If you decide to book and mislead us on the amount of people that is an automatic loss of you security deposit.
Can you perform a site visit? Yes, but the charge for a site visit is $200.00
Is there a bathroom and bedroom on the first floor that is accessible with out having to use the stairs? Yes, a person can enter the house through the kitchen mudroom (no stairs) and have access to the entire first floor including a bedroom, bathroom (with easy to walk in shower), kitchen living room, bar and TV fireplace area.

We were a group of 23 for a family reunion. Ana and Jack were most accommodating snd we loved their place! The house is spacious, clean, and has so many things to do from air hockey, corn hole on the lawn, darts, ping pong, puzzles, and games. The kitchen has everything and anything you could wish for. We gathered around the fire pit and roasted marshmallows and talked and talked into the night. This is the perfect place to be together and is a home away from home.

Had a great stay here for an annual golf trip. House was beautiful and the grounds were lovely. Pictures were accurate and the real feel of the house even better. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful property with a stream that leads to a waterfalls. Peaceful. We have been coming here for 3 years and absolutely enjoyed our time every year. The house is large enough for 20 of us to stay and still have room to spread out and enjoy different things. There’s a great fir out for nights, a fireplace during the day. Bar area with pool table foosball, and dance to some music. (We make it work. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is plenty big to work together and hang out and talk while preparing meals. Thinking maybe next year…..

Annually I rent a home in the Poconos to accommodate my family for the Thanksgiving weekend. This year we stayed at this lovely home. The owner takes pride in this home, very clean, and very well-supplied. We had more than enough room for the 12 of us. The open floor plan made it nice for us when cooking, we were still able to visit with family in the living room and game room. Just a great place altogether, great yard, private, quiet, and quaint. We certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a great getaway in the Poconos.

We had a marvelous 3 night stay at this former youth hostel which accommodated all 28 of us very comfortably. The bedrooms were decent size, especially the loft rooms. The kitchen is large and well appointed so feeding the multitudes was easy. Plenty of extra tables to seat everyone, even a highchair for the baby. Plenty of indoor and outdoor games. The creek was a big hit with the kids. The hosts were very responsive. Will definitely go again for another reunion!

Very nice and beautiful place. Owners are very cooperative and helpful. We all had lots of fun. So many games to play for all ages. I would definitely recommend this place for your friend and family get together.

House was huge with plenty of room for 18 of us. All couples were able to have there own room. Lots of outdoor space. Appreciated that there were plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Everything that we needed. Hosts made it clear they were available for any questions. Space to all be together, yet room to spread out. Enjoyed very much!

The house was perfect for what we had intended. The front porch is amazing and spacious. Plenty of room, and things to do for everyone. The kitchen is on point, and able to handle all your cooking needs. We will request this house in the future. My family wants to make this a tradition. Thank you!

We rented the house for an anniversary celebration with friends. Loved the open concept because it kept us all together while some played games and others sang karaoke. The host was very friendly and always available by phone when we had questions. Can’t wait to plan our next trip to this home.

We had an amazing time! The house was perfect for our group. Lots of things to do inside (pool, ping pong, games) and outside (fire pit, badminton, volleyball).
I mentioned to the host that we were having a Thanksgiving celebration and they put out a turkey platter and some turkey decorations for us which was a really nice touch. There was also a handwritten note on the counter welcoming me when I arrived.
The kitchen is even more amazing in person than the pictures make it look. Having hosted this same group in small apartments over the years, a giant kitchen was a really a fun upgrade. A separate bar and a coffee area off to the side meant more space for cooking and smaller eating area on the other end meant people could hang out with the cooks without getting in the way. I don't remember if the listing mentions it but in addition to the large kitchen fridge, there's a regular size fridge near the bar which was great for drinks. Our group of 19 had more than enough room and everyone enjoyed being able to split off and do stuff in smaller groups (a few people on the porches, a few people playing video games, a few people in the kitchen, a few at the bar, etc.).
Some notes for renters in the future:
- There are plenty of towels and all of the beds are made up, so no need to BYO (mentioning this because other reviews said there wasn't enough - this was definitely not the case for us)
- There is hand soap but no shower stuff so do BYO shower things
- The hosts are very responsive and helpful so definitely reach out to them with any questions before or during your visit!
- Some of the downstairs lights are operated with a key which is a little unusual (but not a problem once you figure it out)
- The kitchen is well outfitted but you might have to look around for some stuff since it is unlabeled
- There aren't many bar tools so you will want to bring your own if you're going to be mixing drinks
- The internet is perfectly adequate for a big group to all connect their phones for lighter use (we did not attempt heavy use so I can't say one way or the other). We had at least 17 devices with at least one streaming video. Uploads were slower but nobody had issues loading pages or sending messages.
- Most people will not have cell service at the house so the internet is especially helpful

Jack and Anne were wonderful hosts. The house was large enough for our group. The 11 bedrooms and open living space made everyone feel not cramped. All the games they have were perfect for the kids and adults. The yard has volleyball and a small stream. We couldn’t have been happier with the property. The kitchen was well stocked and overall we had such a great weekend! Thanks to Our hosts for sharing their house.

They have it all
This house was perfect for our group. We went with a group of 16 adults and 4 kids (under 2). We all had a blast there. The house had everything we need to just enjoy our long weekend. The kitchen was fully stocked and the additional refrigerator next to the bar came in extremely handy. The bar is where we hung out most of the time once the kids went to bed. The TV projector was very nice to have and we watched couple of movies there and the host provided all the instructions on how to use it. We also spent a lot of time on the deck and backyard. Would surely recommend the house to everyone.

Incredible Property!!
The pictures don't do this place justice. From the kitchen to the main living room, to the grounds, everything was spectacular. We had a large group and there were enough beds and towels for everyone. The weather was perfect all weekend, so we were able to enjoy the volleyball net and firepit. John was an excellent host, reaching out early and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you! Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect getaway
The property presented beautifully and very accurate to the description. Kitchen was amazing as we did cook quite a bit throughout the weekend. We unfortunately got an entire weekend of rain but thankfully the interior layout Is absolutely perfect for relaxing, playing games, and having fun. Certainly hope to come back an visit again.

Girls weekend April 2022
The girls in my family get together to catch up on our families and all that has gone on over the past year. This year there were 20 of us and it was probably the best year. One because of covid we haven’t been together in almost 3 years, but this house..... it was really perfect. From the kitchen (which was fully stocked with all your cook & bakeware) and never really seemed to have too many people in it, to the campfire and the stream in the back. The property was really beautiful and the house hade everything we needed and more. Jack and Ann were extremely helpful and friendly. And thank you Kevin for your kindness with the amount of women. We don’t have anything negative about this home. Great atmosphere!

We had a great time staying at this property. We were a group of 22 people. There were enough beds and towels for all of us. Pictures dont do justice to this beautiful house. The living area is a huge open space with lots of games to keep us all entertained. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Would love to come again in future

Another great stay.
This was our second year staying at this property and it is perfect for our group. The property is exactly as described. The kitchen was terrific for cooking meals for 11 of us. We had rain one night and there was plenty of things for our group to do inside the house. The property itself is large and private with a great firepit. Finally John was an excellent host, reaching out early and making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. One of the bathrooms was nicely remodeled since we had been there the year before.

Great location for a long weekend
We had a group of 9 friends staying here for our yearly trip and it was great. We spent a lot of time out near the firepit, but also took advantage of all the games inside. A nice, wide open common area, a second "beer" fridge and some high end cooking equipment made it the perfect place for us. This house made it to our favorites list, and we will probably come back on a future trip.

Terrific Place
A wonderful place to hang with old friends for a couple days. Owners are helpful, place is clean, water is hot, and if you like the sound of a creek to fall asleep to, this is your place.

Great Birthday Weekend!
The property was large, private and so lovely. The property came with so many amenities and we loved that the linens came included. All the different games and activities were awesome for our large group. The double beds are a little small so sleeping was a bit tight for certain rooms but that was the only downside. Would highly recommend this property

One of a kind property that provided much more than expected
This home is absolutely one of a kind. Plenty of parking and infinite space inside and out. The great room was stunning. The kitchen is fit for a chef. Beds were comfortable and the house overall was very clean. The stream outside is a huge bonus and the surrounding forest was beautiful and peaceful. Well off the beaten path yet 15 minutes from what you need. Owners were very responsive and great to work with. Six stars if it were possible. We hope to return. It was a pleasure.

Great place to relax!!
This was a great place to stay. It was well appointed and had everything you could need. Very spacious for large families or groups. Close to the attractions if you want to do shopping, gambling etc. (Camel Back, Kalahari, Great wolfs lodge....) My family and I really enjoyed ourselves and the amenities the house had to offer. The highlight was that fabulous stove for the cooks of the clan, The porch, The fire pit and the water stream for the kids to get their feet wet.
My only issue was the listing was not clear regarding the additional fee. I assumed it would be charged after you exceeded the maximum guests of 30 but it starts after 20 guests. I did inquire about it well in advance but my question went unanswered. If you are unclear like me , just make sure to get all the facts straight. And even though it does calculate based on the guest you put in I was unclear of how they came up with the amount (again) assuming I thought it would be based on 30 not 20.
This does not affect the awesome time we had and the great place this is. I'm glad I stuck with it and will definitely book again in the future.

This property had everything we could possibly need to accommodate our large family group. The kitchen is amazing. Had all the amenities to amuse a range of ages from 5 to 65 with no need to leave to find things to do. Would recommend for any large family.

Great family reunion house!
14 people and 3 dogs from 6 states all I n one fabulous house for the weekend! We’ve rented a lot of multi-family homes and this one was set up great. Lots of things for everyone to do inside and out. Plenty of sitting areas so you’re not on top of each other all weekend. Fantastic kitchen layout with a huge stove, loads of counter space and very well stocked. Made food prep a breeze for our large group. The babbling brook that runs alongside the house provides a nice backdrop to morning coffee on the large porch. Great house for a crowd. Owners are super nice. Highly recommend!
