About this chalet rental
A beautiful and idyllic place to be together with friends and family for parties and celebrations. New renovations in 2019, including the jacuzzi in service from September 2019, as well as new additions to the kitchen, including an American fridge-freezer with ice maker and two ovens. Located in the surroundings of the beautiful and historic spa town of Cauterets, this charming barn located in the Pyrenees National Park can accommodate 17 skiers with sauna. Also a short drive from many shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, a casino, ice rink and the town's famous thermal baths. The Lys gondola in downtown Cauterets is 3km from Le Grange. Nordic skiing is a short drive away, and it is a city all year round, with summer giving excellent access to the beautiful high Pyrenees.
With two hectares of private land at an altitude of 1400m and 250m2 of living space the barn offers solitude and tranquility. The barn is a short distance from the slopes with a private sauna and Jacuzzi and garden with views of the magnificent Pyrenees.
La Grange is located in the Pyrenees National Park, 4 km from the city center which takes you directly to the main slopes of Cauterets (Cirque du Lys). Although an obvious winter paradise Cauterets, and especially Grange Cambasque, offers a lot in summer with cycling, mountain biking, walking, rafting, fishing and much more. The Cirque du Lys 1500m gondola and Telesiege operate throughout the summer.
Lots of charm for this old barn restored as a dwelling. On the ground floor the barn has a spacious living and dining room with fireplace and American kitchen. Also on the ground floor are 3 double bedrooms, the shower room with wc and the sauna. On the first floor, you will find four bedrooms including 2 suites, with their wc and a large shower room also with wc. It includes a beautiful terrace overlooking the mountains of the Pyrenees National Park.

Rust en ruimte in de natuur
Het vakantiehuis heeft een heel rustige ligging als een van de laatste huizen aan de Cambasque mooi in de natuur. Het huis is ruim, heeft voldoende slaapkamers en badkamers voor onze 3 families. De kinderen hebben genoten van de sneeuw en ruimte rondom het huis en niet te vergeten van de jacuzzi. Ook de sauna is heerlijk na een dagje op de ski's. Voldoende ruimte aan de tafel om met z'n allen te eten en een spelletje te doen en ook savonds is het heerlijk zitten op de banken rond de haard. De meubels zijn goed gebruikt en sommige stoelen kunnen wel vervangen worden maar dat mag de pret niet drukken. WiFi in het huisje is voor de puber kinderen een mooie bijkomstigheid. De rit naar het dalstation in Cauterets is ongeveer 10 minuutjes en goed te doen middels een mooie bochtige weg langs de berg. Vanuit de lift kun je het huisje zien liggen. Wij hebben een heel prettig verblijf gehad en zowel de eigenaar en ook de beheerder zijn erg aardige mensen. Houd je van fijne faciliteiten, rust en ruimte rondom je vakantieverblijf dan is dit huis een prima keuze.

Ancienne bergerie réaménagée dans l'esprit d'un logement pyrénéen alliant authenticité et confort.
Logement agréable et chaleureux pour un groupe, avec un cadre idyllique pour s'amuser à l'extérieur. Jaccuzi avec une belle vue sur les montagnes et possibilité aux enfants de faire de la luge. Ancienne bergerie réaménagée dans l'esprit d'un logement pyrénéen alliant authenticité et confort moderne.
Le propriétaire est à l'écoute de ses locataires.

Super chalet ! L'emplacement est top ! Tranquillité tout en étant proche de Cauterets!
Très bien adapté à un séjour entre amis! Le gros plus: le jacuzzi et le sauna que nous avons bien su apprécier après une promenade en raquette !
L'espace à vivre est spacieux même en étant nombreux. Le chauffage au sol, la cheminée rendent vraiment le chalet confortable. On s'y sent bien!
Contrairement à un avis qui préconisait de venir plutôt au printemps et été en raison du petit chemin permettant d'accéder au chalet... Pas du tout d'accord ! Nous avons fait pourtant plus d'un aller retour dans la neige et c'était magique ! Les routes en voiture sont très souvent dénéigées donc pas de soucis à ce niveau là!
Je recommande sans hésiter et j'espère que nous aurons l'occasion de se retrouver entre amis une prochaine fois !

Excellent emplacement et belles prestations
En été l’emplacement est idéal, le calme entouré par les animaux en liberté, les soirées autour du feu et sous les étoiles, les activités qui foisonnent aux alentours et les belles prestations de la maison nous ont permis de passer une semaine mémorable !

Situé dans un site magnifique, l'hébergement est idéal pour les amoureux de la montagne. Ce fut, pour nous, un séjour estival, qui nous a permis de profiter de la terrasse et du spa. La cuisine est bien équipée. Quelques petits soucis matériels qui ont pu être solutionner rapidement, en communiquant avec le propriétaire, réactif et sympathique. A recommander.

La maison est isolée au milieu d’un paysage à couper le souffle ! Magnifique week end dans une maison qui offre tout le confort possible et la place suffisante même pour 17 personnes! ( capacité maximale ) le chauffage au sol ainsi que la cheminée rendent le séjour très confortable !

Une grange très cosy
Nous avons passé de fantastiques vacances en famille; la grange est parfaite pour recevoir les grandes familles. Les prestations sont top et tout le monde (nous étions 11) a su trouver sa place et profiter. L'ambiance est cosy et chaleureuse. Le sauna et le jacuzzi sont des plus non négligeables après une sortie en ski (sans parler des parties de fou rire!!). Nous recommendons donc les yeux fermés!

Bel environnement. Allie isolement et tranquilité en restant assez proche du village (commerces et accès station ski ) en voiture voire en balade (sentier pédestre). Petit bémol pour le chemin d'accès au gîte : attention aux voitures basses lorsque l'on s'y engage ou le quitte. Très bon séjour.

Excellent weekend dans une belle grange à la montagne
Nous avons passé un long weekend à 11 personnes dans la grange, pour l'anniversaire surprise d'un ami.
Il y avait largement de la place pour tout le monde, et les espaces communs (cheminée, sauna, jaccuzi) apportent un plus indéniable. Il y a deux appareils à raclette sur place qui nous ont également été utiles.
L'hôte offre un service de ménage payant pour lequel nous avons opté, pour éviter de devoir le faire nous-mêmes avant de partir.
Dans les points négatifs, comme indiqué sur l'annonce les draps et serviettes ne sont pas fournis. La cuisine est également dépourvue d'ingrédients basiques comme sel/poivre, huile d'olive, etc. Pas de papier toilette ni de sopalin non plus. Donc prévoyez de faire de bonnes courses avant de rejoindre la grange.
Hormis cela, je la recommande fortement pour une escapade nombreuse à la montagne. Les environs sont superbes.

The house is spacious and has a big living/eating/kitchen area which works very well. Bedrooms are also good and there are plenty of bathrooms. We didn't use the sauna but we made much use of the newly-installed jacuzzi outside - a great way to end the day under the stars!

It's a large house in a quiet, but accessible, location in the mountains a few km from Cauterets. The road up is bendy, but very good. The house is spacious and has a big living/eating/kitchen area which works very well. Bedrooms are also good and there are plenty of bathrooms. We didn't use the sauna but we made much use of the newly-installed jacuzzi outside - a great way to end the day under the stars!

We are a large group and the house suited us very well. The kitchen was fairly well supplied, though a few things could be renewed such as spatulas and tongs would be helpful. The knives could be sharper. The outlets in one bedroom and bathroom went out and we could not find circuit breakers to turn back on and some of the shower drains are slow. These were minor inconveniences as overall the group thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, cooking fantastic dinners and enjoying the evenings by the fire outside. It was great to be able to start hikes and bike rides right from the door and climbing was near by. One short coming was that I communicated in English, but the proprietor only responded in French which left a bit of a communication gap. All in all our stay was very enjoyable.
