About this house rental
Wander through the mature natural bush enjoying the majestic trees and beautiful wildflowers. Listen to the sound of the birds and watch the resident kangaroos feeding at dusk. The expansive decking is perfect for outdoor living, socializing or relaxing lazy afternoon
The home provides four double bedrooms, three bathrooms with one including a spa, an air conditioned open plan living area and huge games room with table tennis table.
There is a large log fire to create a warm and intimate atmosphere on cooler evenings.
"The Nest" is the perfect base to explore the beauties of the Margaret River region, but most of all a place to relax unwind and spoil yourself. This stunning home with magnificent views into the surrounding bushland gives you a taste of idyllic country living.
Just a 10 minute drive from the very popular tourist centre of Dunsborough as well as Yallingup allowing easy access to the attractions of these areas yet peace and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle.
The attractions are many and varied, with wineries, breweries, restaurants, galleries, arts and crafts, and of course, the spectacular rugged landscape, world renowned surf beaches, and fascinating limestone caves. There are plenty of activities for children, including horse riding at the local Mirravale Riding School, beach fishing or boat charters, and seasonal whale watching.
The most popular beaches are well known to surfers, however, family swimming can be enjoyed in the sheltered water of the Yallingup Lagoon. Just above the beach front there is a surf shop, kiosk, small gallery and a children's playground.
We also recommend the short drive to stunning Injidup Beach, just south of Yallingup at the end of Wyadup Rd. This beach is also very popular with local surfers, however is usually less crowded. There are no amenities here, so you will need to take refreshments.
For walkers, the track from the parking area at Yallingup along the limestone coast down on to Smiths Beach will please, especially as it drops on to the sand at the secluded end. A 10 minute walk from here will take you past the local surfing school in summer, to the safe swimming beach at the Smith's Beach car park.
Firewood is provided for the fireplace during the winter months. If you require firewood at other times of the year, it can be purchased at local service stations and hardware stores.

We are very happy with our stay at The Nest. We have always loved Yallingup and the setting of this property is just perfect. The house is very clean and well presented. We loved our stay. We will be back again.
Some minor suggestions:
Perhaps a little more modern deco will improve the interior appearance.
It'll also be easier for travellers, esp family who are travelling far, if linen and tolwels etc are included.
About staff / office admins - pleasant to work with, efficient and well mannered over email conversations. Thank you.

Comfortable place that was great for part of my daughter’s wedding party.

The Nest is a very large home that fitted our group perfectly. The pictures don't do it justice in terms of spaciousness. Beautiful secluded area, yet close to shops, wineries etc. The house had everything you'd need for a very comfortable stay.

We loved The Nest in a beautiful natural setting! Service was great in all aspects and really appreciated the provision of wood for the fire along with oil heaters in the bedrooms for the cold nights. We would have given a 5-star rating however a couple of safety issues needed attending: the power boards with exposed wires in the downstairs bedrooms and the stair rail needs tightening as it is a bit wobbly, (our group was aged 68+ thus using the rail frequently). We thank you for sharing your wonderful home and we would love to stay again. Gayle

What a lovely setting. From the moment we drove up to the house we all just smiled. Walking up the stairs was amazing the kitchen is massive, I think the bench would be about 5m long. The fireplace kept the top half beautifully warm. The house is huge every room is so big.
Our son loved chopping the wood and we all loved the kangaroos. The house isn’t perfect but it was perfect for us.
Oh and I loved the laundry shoot and was thrilled to bring all our washing home clean.
We will definitely be back.

Excellent stay...Only criticism is finer detail cleanliness...the finer details.... dirt rim in sinks and between all the lounge cushions upstairs haven't been vacuumed in months...maybe years!

Staycation at The Nest
Our stay was fantastic. Driving up to the property in the secluded bush, we knew it going to be good. Check in was easy. Walking in was a Wow!! The space itself was amazing. Nice and open with plenty of light in all areas. Very clean all round. Large bedrooms and kitchen area. Loads of veranda space and living areas for chat, play and relaxing. Board games and table tennis provided in addition to TV and CD player. The property is surrounded by bush and kangaroos were close by. This property is a really nice space to chill in. We all highly recommend it and would come back again.

Nested amongst the trees
Overall we very much enjoyed our stay at The Nest. It is a very large property in a lovely bush setting containing just about everything you could want in a home away from home. The table tennis table was a hit, and the TV's have been updated from the old "fat backs" in the photos! Something to keep in mind if you're staying there during a period of hot weather, as we were, is that there is only one air conditioning unit for the whole house, situated in the upstairs living room. This made for some fairly uncomfortable nights trying to sleep, even with the multiple pedestal fans provided. The owners should also look at replacing the locks as we were unable to unlock either the front or garage doors with the keys provided, eventually gaining access through the laundry door.

Fantastic family accommodation
The nest was the perfect family getaway. A huge home, comfortable beds, separate zones for kids and adults and a table tennis table that kept us entertained for hours.

Spacious home but needs work.
It's a spacious property, in a lovely quiet area. Kitchen had everything we needed. The table tennis table was a hit! Bed linen and towels were clean. Home does need a bit of TLC. Wires hanging out of walls and not enough power points, meaning that there are extension cords everywhere. Lots of cluttered dusty decor that needs to be sorted out. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the home needs sprucing up.

Overpriced
Kitchen was not very clean. There was a strange smell in the whole house. A few cans of glen 20 over a number of days helped. The fire was great as was the outdoor area. Beds were comfortable but rooms down stars got very cold with no heating. All in all not worth the price we paid.

Great family accommodation
Very clean, lots of space, beautiful setting, games room for the kids was excellent, close to wineries, lovely balcony, good for two families or one large family.

Nest of relaxation
The Nest is simply stunning! It's set on about 5 acres of bush block with so much room to explore which my Nephew's loved. White & red tailed cockatoo's, colourful parots and magpies galore visited us every day.
The wrap around decking makes the property that much better, it was so peaceful relaxing on it with a cuppa or wine. So close to Yallingup and Dunsborough towns (10 to 15 mins drive). You just can't beat the SW of WA and this place is a gem 😊

name fits the place
We loved being up in the trees. Facility and location were as described. A bit dated in furniture but clean and good beds. Lots of space and equipment for multiple guests. Surprisingly , no BArBQ tools were supplied?? we would recommend for families or multi-guests and would certainly return in future

Not bat at all.
Generally speaking, we enjoyed our stay however the property was not the best which we've seen so far.
Lack of heating systems for the rooms on the ground floor was the main issue as they get cold during the night and you might want to bring a heater from home if travelling during the cold season.

Snazzy Jazzy
I had a snazzy jazzy time. I'd happily come back again. Also love the views and the double ping pong tables. The seats are splendidly comfortable.

Amazing weekend
We had a great time at the nest. It was private and yet close to everything we needed. The house was more than big enough and very comfortable and relaxing. Going surfing it was great to know when we came back exhausted the house was close, it really set the mood for the weekend . Three days of relaxation at a great price- well worth it. Thank you :) we will be back soon.
