Overall the property location was fantastic.
The master bedroom shower was tiny with no soap.
The tub in master bedroom was not operational. The kitchen was nice but was lacking in cookware
The deck was very nice with a wonderful view.
We would like to return.

Nice house, great back porch, but fishing from the bank was hard.

The house was comfortable and the setting was beautiful. The house was stocked with most everything we needed. I was disappointed that the tv in the master didn’t work and the tv shown in one of the extra bedrooms wasn’t there, so we just had the one tv in the living room. But, we made it work.

Very beautiful view. Difficult place to go down by the water and the fire pit. Hard to communicate with local personnel. Housekeeping is not keeping up with the cleaning needs. There was dirty bed linen in the twin bedroom. There was rodent droppings in that bedroom and the other guest bedroom as well as on the kitchen countertops. The grill outside was very dirty. The baking and the frying pans were unusable. The guest bathroom toilet stop filling up with water because the chain could not hook up with the clapper. Water kept running but not filling up the tank. Turned off the water to that tank. Tried to contact local people without any success. Insect problem on back porch, which understandable for the area. We sprayed each day and and burned citronella candles. That took care of that problem. Most of the issues seem to relate to your housekeeping crew and your local manager. The home itself is beautiful with beautiful glass stained windows. Very relaxing piece of property and a nice quiet location. Wild foxes and deer and turkey are seen from your property as well as barges and cruise ships.

Everything we envisioned and more! A true slice of heaven and a wonderful place to stay. Top notch property, spectacular view of lake and wonderful porch and amenities. Would highly recommend.

Generally the house was okay. We stayed 1 week. Our kids were traumatized by the unbelievable # of insects that got into the house due to gaps in the windows the first 3 days until the issue was resolved. Had to buy inflatable bed to sleep on. Could not sleep in 2 rooms for 3 days. Had to keep the doors shut.

Little wear on the property. Well suited for relaxing. Manager super responsive to our needs and followed up with us repeatedly

Nice screened-in-porch. Small shower, low toilet and flimsy bathroom rugs were challenging. Poorly maintained path to lake.

Lovely place on the Lake
We had planned to meet friends here, but at the last minute, one of our friends came down with Covid, so it was just my husband and I. We found the home very comfortable and well-equipped. The view and outdoor area was also great. The outdoor sitting areas had not been cleaned, but it was early in the season. I would definitely recommend this place.

Off the beaten path
Our stay was wonderful! The view of Lake Barkley/Cumberland River is beautiful. Only down fall is the master bathroom. Bit of tight squeeze for the toliet and small shower but that's my opinion. Cozy stay filled with relaxation and quiet sunsets. Would love to return and enjoy the screened in porch.

Great vacation getaway
The home on the lake was very nice--clean, roomy and comfortable--for four adults. Instructions were clear and the property contacts were prompt in response. The view of the lake out the back was amazing. Unfortunately, we hit a bit of a cold rainy spell. If the fireplace in the living room had been working, the place would have been perfect. But still, I'd stay there again for sure.

Excellent Getaway
This property, unlike some others we've been to, totally met our needs. We were stayed here as a writing retreat. The screened in patio was perfect for all day writing while overlooking Lake Barkley. At night, we built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed that very much. We will come back to this property again. I recommend it to anyone who wants a place overlooking a wooded area overlooking a lake.

It was a great location as we wanted to explore "Land Between the Lakes". We loved being able to sit down by the lake and watch the sunset; every night was gorgeous! Having a washer and dryer available was fantastic! The only issue was on the last night there the temperatures did drop which caused two mice to enter the home our last morning there.

Wonderful stay!
Our group was three in-law couples enjoying four days of togetherness and quiet. The screened-in porch was by far our favorite place to hang out. There was plenty of seating for us all as we had decided to bring extra chairs based on a previous review.
We cooked most of our meals inside or on the grill. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed from dishes to bakeware to oven mitts and towels.
We had family staying in the area so they were invited over for meals and planning of our next gathering.
As other reviewers mentioned, one of the highlights of this house is the barges passing by. We all enjoyed being outside watching them, often from the chairs at the fire pit or in the hammock.
Communication with the property manager was excellent and prompt, with all questions answered.
I guess our only issue is that the couple who slept in the twin bed room didn’t get much sleep because the springs in both beds are quite noisy…even from just sitting on the beds. This might be something that needs looking into.
Other than that, we loved this house and absolutely would like to stay here again.

Quiet & Charming
The house provided plenty of space for all of us - my husband and me plus our two young adult daughters. The screened-in porch was our favorite spot. We loved watching the boats and birds from the deck.

Lake Barkley House
Very clean and a quite private location. Everything worked. They could update the kitchen appliances and put Tv’s in the two bedrooms. The master had a TV.

We decided to get the kids away for a change of e-learning scenery. We loved this home, especially the patio and deck. Charming and inviting. We loved watching the wildlife all around and the barges going up and down the lake. The boys were able to fish off the rocks and loved doing so. The home was the perfect layout for our family of 5! The only complaint is... we couldn’t find any garbage bags so we bought a box to contribute. Easy fix!

Secluded Lake Barkley Get-Away
First and foremost, the property is situated on the most beautiful area of Lake Barkley/Cumberland River. It faces due west, which means every night, you will have a stunning sunset to end your day! We spent many hours of our week fishing off the rocks, watching the barges (who knew that would be such a delight!), an reading in the screened in porch or hammock. It was HOT while we were there, but that really did not impact our trip (we are Midwesterners too!) The house is very close to Highway 68 that takes you right into the Land Between the Lakes. We hiked, went kayaking, and rented a pontoon boat for the day from Lake Barkley Marina.
The house itself was comfortable for 5 adults. The living room is spacious and plenty of room to spread out. We made daily use of the grill on the deck, as we were traveling in COVID times, and did not want to eat in restaurants. My only real criticism is that the kitchen was not really "fully stocked". It was fine for really basic cooking, but we did have to bring baking pans, and additional cooking ware; plus there was no toaster, which I assumed a fully stocked kitchen would include.
Check-in was really easy, and our hosts answered all of my questions prior to our trip.
I would definitely return to this wonderfully secluded beauty on the lake!

Three days of no worries
The house was clean owners were accessible and local contact was very nice and friendly and ready to do whatever it took to make everyone comfortable. The back yard is a little too steep for me.

Wonderfully scenic & relaxing...
This place was amazing. We met friends here for a little getaway & it was very relaxing, pretty much everything we needed was provided, was a roomy place for 2 couples. The screened in back porch & deck was enjoyable & we loved sitting down @the water, watching all the wildlife. It is extremely steep, so not sure if I’d recommend this for elderly or children. One wrong step & it would be a bad tumble! There was a graveled path, but it was still steep...
A suggestion to the owners...keep a plunger for the bathrooms! Had a little trouble w/the bath...
All in all we had a great time!

This place was awesome! I’d recommend to anyone!!
This was a very nice place family of 6 stayed here. We fished from the back of the rocks stated a fire and laid in the hammock. We had to contact the owner for a minor issue and it was fixed very quickly. We would go back to this home. Appreciate the cleanliness and other things available, such as seaonings, grill, coffee maker (bring your own coffee), pots, pans, washer and dryer, grill.

Had a wonderful girls weekend
Very nice accommodations and clean. The screened in patio was great. Spent most of our time there. Easy access and close to lake Barkley resort where we spent the day Saturday. Caregiver was very nice and returned text and answered questions in timely manner. Very quiet area. Loved watvhing the deer wandered around the area we will definitely stay here again if we come back

Great location, on the water, large 3 bedroom, nice decor.
Double wide or premanufactured home. Nicest one I have ever seen. Spacious and clean. Great for a family. No dock and no way to get into the water. The lagoon picture on the web site in not part of the property. The walk-in lagoon is someone else's property.

Older home with a quiet environment
This property has an open floor plan with lots of space to move around and we enjoyed the peace and quiet outside. The outdoor hammock was a definite plus. The home was surface clean, but I cleaned a lot of dead bugs from the window seals and counter backs and knocked down the cobwebs from corners. We did not see any live bugs or ants. The owner needs to be clearer that the picture of the water is the view from the property, not the waterfront on the property. The incline off the back of the property is quite steep with large boulders you can walk out on but not direct to access the water or a shoreline you can walk. The master bath shows a large tub but the house information states that the hot water heater doesn't hold enough water to use the tub. There are some small repairs ( the back step is loose, window blinds missing) that would improve the property. Overall, it was peaceful and quiet with lots of space to move around which is what we were mostly looking for, but of all the properties we have rented over the years this was our least favorite.

Quiet and peaceful.
We booked this property for friends of ours coming to my son's wedding. They will be very happy with the property at all amenities
3.0 / 5.0
Just okay
When we arrived at the house my husband had to get rid of the cob webs before I came into the house. It also smelled very musty. Other than those 2 things the house was fine. My daughter and her friend enjoyed going down to the lake and sitting on the rocks.
