About this house rental

The Isle sur la Sorgue, which regulars colloquially call Isle sur Sorgue or Isle sur la Sorgue, in Provence, in the Vaucluse department, 20 Kms from Avignon, between the luberon, the Vaucluse mountains and the Mont Ventoux, also known as the Venice of Provence, is a very famous tourist place known all over the world. My house (with alarm and WIFI) that I offer you is a magnificent Provencal country house, brand new, on an enclosed plot of 10,000 m2 (1 hectare). It is large with its 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is ideal for 8 people with children. It also has a beautiful original swimming pool of 11 x 5.5 m2, with large beaches, sunbathing, outdoor beds, shaded pool house, shower and barbecue. A ping-pong table is also available for family play.
The unique originality of this rental is that it is located in a very quiet location, in the immediate vicinity (5 minutes on foot) of several restaurants, Mc Donald's, several bakeries, luxury pastries, fruit store and Provence 'Halles vegetables, many shops and 2 super markets (Super U and Intermarché). It is the countryside near the city, or the countryside in the city, with all the amenities, without the nuisance and in an extraordinary and enviable calm. The small village of Saint Antoine is also a 5-minute walk away, with its bar, bakery and renowned glassblower. Another particularity of this rental is that at 5 minutes on foot you reach the banks of the Carpentras canal, where you can do sports, run, stroll in the great outdoors, cycle, join the golf course. Saumane (10 minutes) then the aqueduct of Fontaine de Vaucluse. From there is the center of the course in the trees, the departures of the descents of the river, the Sorgue, in canoe or kayak or the aerobatic center. Between 5 and 15 minutes by car we find the very tourist villages of Vaucluse fountain with its chasm, Saumane with its castle, Gordes with its dry stone bories, Roussillon with its ocher of all colors, cabrières d ' avignon with its cedar forest, cavaillon at the foot of the luberon with its via ferrata ...
Barely further (25 minutes) is Avignon with its stone ramparts and its fabulous papal palace; If you want freshness in summer (30 minutes from the house) take the direction of Mont Ventoux (highest mountain in Provence which peaks at 1912 m in height). The montagnette of the luberon or the Luberon depending on your pronunciation is also very well known (the walk in the green cedar forest is a magical enchantment). The cool walk, feet in the water (40 minutes from the house), for the whole family is towards Malaucène, in the gorges of toulourenc, it is a must. 45 minutes by car is Marseille, the sea, the beaches, the wild creeks and its coves listed as World Heritage by Unesco.
Very good stay. Vincent

We spent a wonderful week at Vincent‘s house. We had everything we needed. Vincent showed us around when we arrived and was very pleasant to communicate with. The house was very clean and convinietly located close to a bakerry and a supermarket. Multiple sights could be reached very easily by car in 30-60 minutes. L‘Isle-sur-la-Sorgue has plenty to offer if you like colourful farmer‘s market and antiques. We made a lot of great memories and can‘t wait to get back.

We had a wonderful week in Chez Vincent in the beautiful and bustling town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. From start to finish Vincent was excellent at quickly getting back to us and answering any questions or queries we had. He was also available to meet us when we arrived to show us around his wonderful house. The house is just on the outskirts of the town but with plenty of shops close by to get everything you will need. Set in its own lovely gardens it is very peaceful and private with a stunning pool and BBQ area. There is also a fantastic large covered terrace by the house to sit out and eat or just have a drink and relax. Inside the house, is very comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole family of 3 generations had a fantastic time at the villa, spending time down by the pool and getting together on the terrace for family drinks & meals. It was a week that we did not want to end. Getting into town is about a 25 minute stroll, but well worth it. The Sunday market is very busy but other days the town easily copes with the locals and tourists. As a base you are so close to many of the iconic Provence towns an villages. We really enjoyed Fontaine de Vaucluse with its beautiful river setting. If you want a day on the water (canoeing) this would be a good choice especially as it is so close to the villa. We had a great week at the villa and it would definitely be on the short list if we were to return to this area in the future. Thank you Vincent

The house was lovely and the host gracious. The pool area and the grounds were beautiful and very private. We used the hot tub and had games of ping pong! The kitchen is well equipped. All the beds were comfortable. We were surprised that there were extra charges for towels and bedding as this is normally included in the rental. We suggest that Vincent provide both bath towels and pool towels. It is a 1.6 K walk into town which was fun - restaurants and shops on the way.

We enjoyed our stay at Vincent‘s house very much. The house and it’s surrounding is Provence at it’s best. We hope to back some time.

A wonderful week for a family get together. The property had everything we could want including a pool! We were never short of things to do either at the property or in the beautiful surrounding areas. Vincent was a most helpful and efficient owner, living next door and communications were easy. In the heatwave conditions of our stay the house was cool and refreshing.

A gem to live out your Provencal dream
A gem to live out your Provencal dream
I can't say enough about our stay at Vincent's charming home. We spent two weeks here with three families and there was something for everyone. The wifi worked well for those of us who had to work and for kids who needed a bit of screen time between dips in the pool, playing in the yard, or searching for cats or sightings of Vincent's daughter's adorable pup. The older children were able to gain a sense of independence by walking to a few shops that were nearby -- they especially loved having a Mcdonald's so close when they needed a taste of home (with much less of the gross additives you find in the US! The adults could easily walk to many shops for necessities such as the large Intermarche to assemble our daily wine, baguette, and charcuterie boards. The property is super private feeling and quiet yet Vincent quickly responds to any questions or needs. The location is a great spot for exploring all the nearby towns and attractions and is super close to the center L'isle but just far enough away to feel a more relaxed pace. We loved L'isle and found it to be a charming village and we never tired of walking its streets and coming across new picturesque scenes. We were able to easily walk to a Michelin-rated restaurant, La Vivier, for a wonderful dinner on the river plus many other great dining spots. The markets in town are fantastic -- Sundays are wild so get there at 8 am and have a cappuccino before you start shopping. Thursday market in town is great. A few more things we enjoyed as Americans so used to our conveniences: great water pressure in the shower, cool A/C, a washing machine and a dishwasher. No dryer but we actually enjoyed the routine of line drying our clothes outside. For Americans traveling here, be sure to bring your own towels for the pool and be prepared to purchase hand soap, trash bags, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, etc. as is typical in many European vacation rentals. Already dreaming of returning again!
