We had a great time at this cottage. Three bedrooms, very comfortable, great outdoor space, nice yard, and a perfect little home away from home. It's a great place to stay.

We stayed just for a long weekend for a soccer tournament. Check in process was a breeze. The house is spotless and has everything we needed. Appliances are new including the washer / dryer.
The master bedroom suite was lovely and makes the house feel so much bigger to accommodate families. Close to restaurants and access to 6/6A for getting around the cape.
The beach is walkable but can’t imagine doing the walk with chairs and a cooler. The drive is short but you end up a tiny bit farther down the beach. Overall a great spot to spend a vacation!

This house was perfect for our family! We loved all the cozy nooks, outdoor dining table, bikes and the location! We wish we could have stayed longer...the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and we felt very at home.

Disappointed with Inhospitable Experience
Even though it is a beautiful, well-appointed home within walking distance of the beach, we were disappointed with the unexpected demands communicated upon our arrival and the inhospitable tone of our interactions with the property's representatives. (For 20 years, we have rented homes at least annually through several rental platforms and even done home-exchanges--so we do have relevant experience and points of comparison.) Upon arrival, we were greeted with a posted sign above the kitchen sink listing in detail the cleaning we are expected to do--including washing and drying bath mats, cleaning the bathrooms, sweeping the floors, and washing/drying/re-shelving the dishes--all by 10 a.m. on the date of departure. This exceeds any prior move-out instructions we have seen--even during the pandemic--and is inconsistent with the price point, which includes a generous cleaning fee. We took the to-do list seriously, and the cleaning took an hour longer than we expected on the date of departure. When departing, a woman arrived in her car and scolded us for leaving an hour late--there was no need for her to be rude. Half-an-hour into our drive to the airport, another representative called us. The purpose of the call was unclear but began by telling us we departed an hour late and revealed that our departure was captured on posted cameras. (How charming.) More helpfully, she did acknowledge the to-do list is not available on the Evolve listing. Fundamentally, there seems to be a disconnect between the product (a higher-end vacation rental) and the actual arrangement which felt more like a strict co-op of some kind. This is not what we look for in a vacation and certainly not at this price point.

Great cape house
House is as nice as described, 5 min bike ride to the bike path, short drive to supermarkets and to Orleans breakfast/sandwich shops and restaurants. Was good size for us, 2 parents + 2 older kids, each kid got their own bedroom. Lots of comfy chairs inside and a big table on the patio.

Great House! So Convenient
My sister and I stayed here fir three nights in May, the house is very nice! Spacious, super clean, convenient to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Easy checkin - quick affirmative response for early Checkin (maybe easier in May than high season).
Really great kitchen, we cook for ourselves and really appreciated the Keurig and pods, spices and maple syrup!
Very nice washer and dryer in the basement, toiletries in the bathroom made this one of our favorite VRBO houses!

The house was absolutely beautiful! We had an amazing stay and hope to be back in the future.
The house had everything we needed, a fully stocked kitchen. We had an issue with the grill, I contacted the property manager Anne, and the grill was repaired the next day.

We really enjoyed this VRBO property. Very clean, close to great restaurants and beaches, and super cozy in the fall. Central to many great places in Cape Cod.

Perfect beach house!
It was our first time to Cape Cod (visiting from California) and this is what I dreamt of for a perfect Cape Cod rental! There were 6 of us and we enjoyed the wonderful home and beautiful back yard. We loved the layout of the home, the lush landscaping, outdoor shower and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. The owners thought of everything. Played ping pong in the basement and used the 2 bikes for a ride at sunset. If you're looking for the perfect rental, this is the one!!

Very Special House
We enjoyed a splendid fall getaway on the Cape and loved this house. The owners of Captain's Walk made every effort to ensure our comfort. The size of the house was just right; the layout was convenient; the kitchen was a delight to cook in, and the backyard deck with its pergola was a perfect place to relax. The neighborhood was especially lovely. I highly recommend the sunsets at nearby Skaket Beach!

Relaxing Getaway
I highly recommend staying in this house. So cozy, in a quiet neighborhood and close to beaches and an awesome bike trail. Home was recently renovated and the added touch of maple syrup from the owners was a great touch. Thank you for a wonderful and much needed vacation!!

Second time around
We have been vacationing on the Cape for 40 years. This is one of the 3 best homes we’ve rented. Short walk to a bay beach, a short drive to ocean beaches. The house has all the amenities you could want or need for a vacation house. Orleans is a beautiful cape cod community that hasn’t really changed much in the last forty years, the worst part of the visit was having to leave. My thanks to the owners for allowing us to use this great home. For an avid watercolorist there nothing greater than a Skaket beach sunset.

Perfect Cape Cod Get Away
We loved our stay at Captain's Walk. The location is great. It was a 5 minute bike ride to Skaket Beach (on the bay), close to the town of Orleans, close to the Cape Cod Rail Trail and a short drive to the ocean (Nauset Beach). The house is in great condition and the set up is ideal. Big open area downstairs (kitchen, living room, dining room, etc.) and a good size deck with a pergola. We ate outside on the deck a lot. Lastly, the house had everything we needed in the kitchen, as well as for outdoor activities (games, beach chairs, bikes)!

Fun in the sun
We had a great week. Weather was great. We enjoyed both Skaket and Nauset beaches. This property didn’t disappoint. And the location really works.

Quiet and Lovely
This house is set up so well! Great sunny, pretty spaces. Fantastic kitchen and deck. We appreciated the two bikes in the shed even though we brought some bikes too. The rail trail was really fun and good way to keep our distance from others. The beach was more of a walk than we thought and crowded but pleasant if you went at low tide when there was more room to spread out. Overall, a spot that suited us perfectly.

Charming and Comfortable Cape Cod Perfection!
This property lives up to every wonderful previous review.
The house is spotless; in pristine condition with very tasteful and comfortable furnishings. The location cannot be beat- walk/bike to Skaket beach. We loved watching the resident bunnies and were lucky enough to have a mama wild turkey and her young frequent the yard. The property could not be more charming! The owners have done a wonderful job providing you with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. They even provide bikes (and even a bike pump!), and beach gear. The kitchen is well-stocked, something I really appreciate as I love to cook while on vacation. The beds were so comfortable, I would like to have these in my own home. Very nice, clean and new pillows and blankets were plentiful in each room. My husband’s family grew up owning homes very near this home and we have always admired it, so it was a delight to walk inside to a most beautiful and comfortable setting.. We hope to return next year.

Simply Perfect Cape-Mode Getaway
This place is as beautiful as it is well appointed. Strikes the perfect balance of feeling uncluttered and clean abut also we’ll stocked and comfortable to live in and play in for a week. Lovely open living space with a great kitchen. Yard perfect for mini soccer games and bunny watching. We never tired of the short walk to Skaket (sometimes 2-3 times a day!). and saved money on bike rentals because of the lovely ones in the shed. Our children blew kisses to every room before we left. Management was lovely and easy to get in touch with, but every detail had been accounted for so you won’t need them! Almost don’t want to say how wonderful this place is so that it’s easier to book next year ;).

Great property, good location
We were two adult couples for a one week stay on the Cape. This house worked great. Very good well-equipped kitchen. We cooked a few meals here. Plenty of space, inside and out. Property has a bunch of extras and niceties too. Check the shed out back for beach stuff and bicycles

Great Stay with Family!
This property was the perfect place to stay with family. It lives up to and exceeds (in some areas) the pictures online. Skaket beach is just a short walk/bike ride away. Property management team was quick to respond to any queries.

Beautiful relaxing home
We have been visiting the Cape for over 20 years and this is the best home we have rented yet. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. It had everything we needed for a relaxing family location. Perks were that it was close to Skaket Beach so we could walk or bike there in the morning or for beautiful sunsets at night. Central air for those hot humid days. Landscaping is colorful and so easy to enjoy on the covered back deck and felt very private. Such a quiet neighborhood and able to commune with nature (wild turkeys, bunnies and chipmunks). Definitely the cleanest basement/laundry! Can’t wait to come back next year! You have a beautiful well kept home.
