The location was beautiful with polite staff
The stairs! I slipped down several and broke my foot in 2 places.

Breakfast was very good. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant on our first night. Recommend eating there. Prices very reasonable.
Great location to get around the Cotswolds
The bed was very comfy and clean.
Very nice friendly staff
The room was very noisy at night as the hotel is on a main road.
I found the room needed a thorough clean. There were dead insects on the window sills and in corners . Looked like they’d been there for a while. Broken blinds in both the bedroom and bathroom.

Breakfast was beautifully cooked. The staff were very friendly and service was excellent.
Great for having a bath but not so good for showering, as there was no screen and the shower attachment was on top of the bath taps. For a shower you had to sit in the bath and the water pressure too strong for gentle spraying. Just a minor problem as the bathing option was there and the water was always hot.
4.2
Lovely building and good location, everything worked fine and was of a good standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good, and I think we had very good value for money.
Small point- we would have preferred a couple of chairs in the room rather than 2 tables and a luggage rack. My wife cannot sit comfortably on a bed - I should add that a chair was brought for her very promptly when I asked!

Very quaint , country Inn. Facilities & location good.
Hand shower - would have preferred on the wall with curtain/ shield. Tiled floor was very slippery in the bathroom even with bath mat on floor.
4.2
Excellent hotel, the lady serving drinks and breakfast was friendly and helpful.
Maybe a shower.

Fabulous stay. A very warm welcome on arrival - staff were professional and friendly. The inn is full of character and charm - rustic bar area and elegant breakfast room. This is an old property - if you want modern chic go elsewhere - we loved it. Excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds. We stayed in the Fossebridge - elegant, light and airy with beautiful views of the grounds and lake. All that you would need in the room. Plenty of storage and large bathroom. High quality linen and comfy bed. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Would highly recommend and will stay again if we return to the area.
Exceptional - nothing not to like

lovely building and staff and super breakfast made especially early! so thank you 😊
my room overlooks locked the road and I have to sleep with a window open so there was quite a bit of road noise.
4.2
spacious room, dog-friendly, friendly staff
we forgot to bring toothbrush and there is no shops nearby

A lovely hotel full of history, and friendly staff
The room was small, the bathroom needed a deep clean down the back of the toilet, the shower had black mould all round the base sealant.

Jeff, Dee and Celia were perfect hosts, went above and beyond to make us and our dog very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely and so was the wine!!!

The property is in a valley bottom so I thought it would be cold, given the time of year. I was welcomed at the front door by the owner and as I stepped through the front door, it was lovely and warm and warm throughout the whole hotel which was great.
The breakfast was good, with a wide choice to select from.
Set in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds near Gloucester.
I liked everything about the property, a warm charmingly decorated bedroom, lovely views out across the gardens from the breakfast room.

it was a at a nice location with suitable facilities.
Room was cold with inadequate heating. There was lot of noise coming from windows which clearly means some good sound proofing is required. Staff could have been more friendly.
4.2
Cosy little Inn. Well worth the stop over for our road trip. Meals available in the pub part which was perfect.
Forget the Wifi connection. Very bad. Even when told that it was available when you go into the bar area. Not available.
Traffic noise in the front bedrooms not good for light sleepers

Great choice for breakfast.
Location perfect for us, mid route of our journey. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Archie, our golden retriever, was made SO welcome!G
Lovely bed BUT the mattress was very uncomfortable with prominent springs!
A chair would have been useful.

Perfectly located for the wedding in Cripps Barn
beautiful building
fabulous friendly welcoming hosts
lovely breakfast
very comfortable beds with excellent bed linen
no mobile signal which is understandable in the area but no wifi either - I would have expected wifi in the property.
would also have expected a stand up shower in the en-suite rather than the shower hose over the bar

The breakfast was good, although we were just informed there were 'no pastries today' without any explanation. Luckily we were happy to have a cooked breakfast and toast etc
The staff were very friendly.
It's very dog friendly.
The garden is beautiful.
The bathroom is large and could do with an update e.g include a proper shower and towels hook near the sink. It's a large enough space to put in a much nicer and luxurious bathroom which is what I expected at the price being charged.
As I result I felt it was overpriced- at that price there should be a luxury feel to the place. It is of a very good standard but not sufficient to be changing £195 a night.

Staff were attentive and welcoming of our dog.
Pillows were incredibly thin & beds were a little uncomfortable.
4.2
The location was central to every village or town in Cotswold AONB.
Nothing.
4.2
Beautiful building, full of character and so much space.
No showers in the bedrooms only hand held over bath. Limited breakfast - needs to be more choice for vegetarian and vegan guests. rooms desperately need updating and decorating. cobwebs and dirty in parts.

Beautiful property and setting.
Wonderful breakfast
Great place to bring your dogs

The hotel was situated in a dip where there were only a couple of houses near by but no other facilities. So if you needed a shop then you would have to get in your car and travel. The food was outstanding. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Only 18 minutes away from Cotswold farm Park (Adam Henson) and 30 minutes from Diddly Squat.
Situated by a busy road so if you had a room that side you would be able to here the traffic. More traffic between 5.30am until midnight but still could hear some through the night. If your used to living by a road it probably wouldn’t be a problem but for us we live in the rural countryside and are only used to animal noises. No mobile phone signal so used there WiFi which did cut out so couldn’t speak for long, texting or other communications had to be used.

Staff were very polite and genuine. Very cosy and homey atmosphere. The dinner was incredible for what I assumed would be pub quality food, had the steak and chips, plus desert was great. A lovely hotel, great food and the most wonderful owners.
Nothing! We loved everything during our stay.
4.2
Breakfast was wonderful! Plenty of choice and quality food. Bed was really comfy and the staff were very friendly. Beautiful location and lovely gardens too.
Unable to get a taxi but not the hotels fault.
4.2
The food was outstanding, the staff were friendly and helpful and the view from the rooms at the rear is lovely.
The bedrooms are in need of some updating, for instance an overhead shower (rather than hand held) and shower screen in the bath. However the bed itself was very comfortable.
4.2
Location is next to a main road although being located at the back of the inn we didn't hear the road. It is busy though.
Gardens are large and lovely. The building itself has lots of character which is nice but money needs to be spent to bring things up to date and time deep cleaning would enhance its beautiful potential.
The room was dated and not clean. There was dust in most locations and even a spider in the sink. There were cobwebs on the furniture proving its not been cleaned adequately.
The shower facility was awful - a shower head attached to the bath. No hook and no curtain made for an interesting wash.
There was a pungent smell lingering in the room and outside of lighter fluid which was disconcerting to say the least.
4.2
Staff were very welcoming and great to chat with. Room was lovely, everything explained well.
Stayed in the bar both nights and on one night a local band was rehearsing- it was actually really good entertainment! Great location for exploring, central to all of the areas we wanted to visit.
Nothing we didn't like.
