Loved the house. Hope to use it again.

Other than the cabin needs a really deep clean(stains on carpet, smells dirty, deer heads and beams are so dusty. And found a woman’s earring in our bed, the creek was absolutely lovely. Clean it up and we will come back every year.

Stunning cascading creek. Just relax listening to the serene sound of multiple waterfalls.
The only thing missing is Hammocks overlooking the creek.
Can’t wait to go back.

The ONLY criticism we would have is the road to and especially the driveway to the house! The road had pretty severe water damage and if my SUV weren’t all wheel drive we would not have made it up the driveway to the house!
The house was well appointed, clean and comfy, the hot tub was clean and awesome and the sounds from the waterfall/creek could be heard everywhere! All in all this place exceeded our expectations!

Central location near groceries and restaurants. Lovely creek outside and hot tub. Houses all around which I didn’t expect but it was a non-factor. Plenty of space!

Amazing!!!

It was an excellent home for a small to mid-sized group located I short drive into Boone or Banner Elk. Other homes were relatively close by so not secluded by any means, but also sufficiently private for our party. Pricing was also reasonable compared to many other options. I would recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter but it was a safe and clear drive a short distance in from the main road.

We loved our stay. Home is well-located and easy to find, also convenient to Banner Elk. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the beds were super comfy! Would definitely stay again.

Worked out ok for our trip.

The sounds of the flowing creek added that extra element of relaxation to our trip. It was great to sit out on the porch and drink coffee in the morning & relax in the hot tub at night. The home was comfortable & clean. The hill up to the house could be a little tricky, but luckily we had a SUV.

Overall satisfaction is excellent! Clean, well cared for “home away from home.” Beautiful scenic location. Attention to detail to feel welcome.
Suggestions:
We arrived after dark. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE THERE WAS A PROPERTY TO THE RIGHT COULD NOT SEE ADDRESS. Suggest a solar light on the address of the property. Very scary and dangerous to arrive in the dark having never seen the property.
Secondly: Although very clean, extremely musky smelling. Perhaps damp humidifiers placed throughout the property?
Thirdly: The propane tanks were essentially empty. Within 5 minutes of trying to grill burgers, propane was gone. Later read in notebook that the guest is responsible for the tank, and will even be reimbursed from rental company. By then, was too late & I had to transfer food to kitchen to complete cooking. Caught off guard about that. If the rental company is willing to reimburse for tank refill, I believe it would have been a MUCH BETTER EXPERIENCE if one of the 2 tanks would have been somewhat full. We are visitors in the area with no idea where to have tank filled even had we been aware it was necessary.
Lastly: The hot tub was never able to heat up to a hot temperature any greater than a warm tub water. We kept the cover on to try to raise temperature, but never was able to reach a temperature over 90 degrees. Disappointing!
These are opportunities for improvement. I thank the property owners for pet friendly. We were grateful & responsible!

Great spot for a mtn getaway. Hard to beat being on the creek

Wonderful setting right on Valley Creek and a beautiful set of waterfalls. Great location in Seven Devils within a 20 minute drive to 4 golf courses: Boone, Sugar Mountain, Mountain Glen and Linville Land and Harbor. The cabin has a great wrap around porch, a clean hot tub, modern kitchen, and a wonderful great room with a large TV. Only downside is no AC, and we did have a couple of warm humid days.

WE all enjoyed our long weekend at Valley Creek. The cabin was clean and at a great location. The hot tub was also clean and very nice to have at the end of the day. Check in and check out process was simple and straightforward. Looking forward to coming back.

We were worried about no ac but the cabin is tucked in among the trees (like a treehouse) and the creek and breeze with the windows open kept us cool as cucumbers!!! Definitely on the list to come back and have recommended the cabin to all of our friends via Facebook!!

I was worried after reading the reviews, but this place was awesome! The hot tub was being replaced so not usable, but we were told well in advance. The location was great, close to everything and the cabin was perfect! Definitely gonna stay again.

First let’s start with a positive, the natural water fall behind the property was beautiful! The location was great, close to Sugar and Beech mountain. Also close to Boone and Blowing Rock. When you pull up in the driveway, it looks like a scene from a scary movie, the exterior of the house was ok, surrounding homes, very run down. Across the stream, nicer homes. The inside, very dated, unkept and FILTHY! Cobwebs everywhere, inches of dust! The upstairs bathroom had a 5 light fixture over the sink, only 2 bulbs working, found 2 extra bulbs, replaced 2, one immediately blew out, fixture has electrical issues. House was either very cold or spotty hot. Grill was out of propane, hot tub not working (we were told in advance, also told we would get a 15% discount) , oddly enough, the only cleaning appears to be done by the occupants upon leaving. This list of responsibility was very extensive. The pots and pans were in terrible condition. BTW, hot water was like lava. We all coughed and sneezed while in the house. Would not recommend this Corporate owned property.

Love the creek, hearing the constant waterfall was so relaxing. Close to activities/town but still had the cabin in the woods vibe.

The property was nice, clean, and for the most part as advertised. However, the property was equipped with a hot tub that did not work. We communicated with the property manager but it wasn't resolved by the time we left. Kind of a big deal to have such a nice amenity then not be able use it. I probably would have made a different choice renting had we known.

The cabin was clean. The pictures were a lot nicer than the cabin. It was very old, dark and dated inside. Look like it had been furnished with stuff from goodwill. The road to the cabin was steep and rough and tree limbs kept scraping the top of our truck. Would have been difficult for a car. For the price we paid I would not rent this cabin again.

Enjoyed the creek hot tub
Very clean

loved the stream and deck below. and central location between activities was a bonus. Plenty of room, and loved the fireplace and heat plate with fan. (Unfortunnate weather made us use it)
Driveway had a couple of ruts that could be trouble for the wrong car.

Overall this is a very cozy cabin. It was very clean . We rented for 7 days. There was room to store my groceries in the kitchen! Bedding was clean. Dishes were very clean.
Hot tub kept turning off, this was a slight inconvenience. Also, be aware that you only get 2 days worth of garbage bags , dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels . FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE PAID, we could at least get a couple rolls of toilet paper !
Other than that it was a beautiful cabin located in a beautiful spot. Waking up to the sound of the river or enjoying a relaxed evening in the hot tub with the sound of the river was indescribable! Will visit again!

Property was comfortable and clean. The only issue we had was the hot tub did not work. This was addressed with the rental company and they were very quick to respond, but unable to repair before we left. Lovely rental location with the stream.

Comfortable property, lots of deck space, fireplace.
We enjoyed our stay.

The home was clean and very relaxing a beautiful location close to everything you need. The hot tub could stand to be a little hotter it was more like a really warm bath than hot tub lol, but other than that it was wonderful. The stream that runs behind the home is beautiful and so relaxing to listen to. Foscoe rentals could have been a little clearer about the amenities that are included if you are not staying on their property in the gated community you do not have access to the club house or gym that was not very clear online when purchasing the property but overall it was still a very lovely stay.

We had such a great experience at the cabin! The “falls” behind the house are incredibly calming. We were able to make it up to the house, but definitely needed the 4x4 as fresh snow/ice made for a more challenging trip up the driveway. Looking forward to being able to stay again in the future! The house had everything that we needed, and was only a 10 minute drive to ski Sugar MountIn!

What a great little cabin. Perfect for our family of four with two little kids. Nice little property for them to play and a nice big deck to run around. Sitting in the hot tub and listening to the waterfall on a cold winter night was perfection. Close to grocery stores, gas stations, and ski resorts. A lot of stuff to do.

This cabin was a great place for our family on Thanksgiving. It is located between Boone and grandfather and sugar mountain. The property was clean and spacious. The best feature for our kiddos was that the backyard overlooks a pretty sizable creek. They were like mountain goats exploring. The beds were comfortable with nice linens. The only detail I would add is to say that there are neighbors so it isn't super private but that was not an issue for us at all. The hot tub is on the back deck and felt private enough for our family to enjoy it. The light in it was not working but that was also ok because there are lights in the back deck. I loved that the dinner table accomodates 8 people. The only negatives were that we wwre welcomed with the overpowering odor of fabuloso floor cleaner. I appreciated knowing it had been cleaned but as a pregnant woman in my first trimester I had a really hard time the first night. The other thing was that the TV in the living room was quite tiny, not as pictured, and didn't make for the fun movie night we going for, but it was functional and I know that is preference. Overall excellent stay and we would rent this cabin again.

The house is cozy. The deck and hot tub were great and the waterfall and stream behind the house were beautiful!

Wonderful cabin. Clean and spacious. Definitely will rent again

Need to fix drive way up had to put in 4 low to get up it

Great place to stay. As others have said this cabin is not exactly isolated, there are neighboring homes, but they are not right on top of the property and didn't bother us at all. Convenient location, we would definitely return.

Our Family has a great stay here. There was plenty of room for the four of us. The Hot tub worked great which was our main reason for booking this place. Has a great view of the stream behind the house. The only complaint we really had was the fairly steep gravel drive way that was very bumpy for our minivan. Had the weather been a little icier we might have had issues getting up to the cabin.

Nice cabin for a weekend get away. Close to everything you’ll need or want to do. 1 mile from Grandfather Winery. Restocked wood while we were there, which was much appreciated. Good stay.
