About this bed and breakfast

The Willows at Kurrajong is an elegant Bed and Breakfast set on 11 acres amongst the lush green hills of Kurrajong in the Lower Blue Mountains, just an hour west of Sydney.

Whether you are looking for a quiet country retreat for that special weekend away, or a place to call home while you explore the endless local attractions and activities, The Willows will surpass your greatest expectations.

The Willows is located within walking distance of Kurrajong Village, where you can wander through an eclectic collection of fascinating shops and cafes discovering many unexpected delights. A little further afield there is an interesting range of cafes, restaurants, antique shops, farm-gate stalls, and countless other activities of all sorts.

The private loft accommodation has sweeping valley views across green paddocks with grazing livestock. The private deck is the perfect place for an alfresco breakfast or a quiet evening meal cooked on the BBQ, or else guests can choose to bring the view inside by opening up the bank of tri-fold doors and dine inside. The loft has its own dedicated external access via a private courtyard.

Facilities

The Loft is located on the first floor of our home and so is not suitable for children of toddler age. The Loft is fully equipped with all you will need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable and includes the following:-

- Reverse cycle airconditioning
- Ceiling fan
- Flat screen TV with DVD player. The TV also accepts USB sticks, a selection of DVDs is provided
- Stereo
- Kitchen area with sink, microwave, toaster, pod coffee machine, all crockery and cutlery
- Bar fridge

- Outdoor furniture

Come and experience the tastefully executed designer decor incorporating polished wooden floors, natural stone tiled verandah and bathrooms finished in heritage tiles with natural marble floors.

Breakfast

We think our guests would rather do things at their own pace, so for breakfast in the Loft, we provide a basket full of delicious treats, including bacon and home grown eggs, as well as a selection of cereals, toasts, jams, yoghurt and fresh fruit. A selection of quality teas, pod coffee and fruit juices completes your breakfast experience. We are also very pleased to cater for your special dietary needs.

Amazing quiet escape

The loft was just what we needed to escape from the noise and light pollution of the city. Bruce was very communicative and greeted us upon arrival to show us the accommodation. The extra bits that are provided such as breakfast supplies and port and chocolates were very appreciated and we had a great sleep in the comfortable queen bed. I would recommend the loft to anyone looking for a peaceful get away.

My mum and I stayed for one night in the Loft at the Willows. Bruce welcomed us and showed us to our room. We were left to enjoy the room and village knowing Bruce and Janet were downstairs if we needed anything. Breakfast provision and the BBQ were great. Would certainly stay again..

Whatever stress that may have been inadvertently packed in your overnight bag magically disappears as you turn the final bend and drive up the pebble stone lane towards the beautiful homestead couched amount lush green gentle sloping hills. Fresh air fills your lungs and it's not long before you are greeted by your gracious hosts. A quick walk up the stairs brings you to the beautiful attic where there is a clever play of old world charm and contemporary comforts. Every window invites the countryside in. The space is light and airy and extremely well thought-out. You are instantly seduced, disarmed and relaxed. The Willows is a wonderful discovery. We will be back.

Completely self-contained and decorated with style and all amenities you could wish for, we were very comfortable in our surrounds and comfy queen-size bed. The attention to detail is second-to-none with beautiful furniture & furnishings, crockery, objects d'art, crystal decanter of port & chocolates, home-made treats including shortbread, cereals & condiments plus big brekky fry-up supplies and more. Our hosts, Janet & Bruce were a warm, sensitive and intelligent couple who knew just when to be and when not to be seen or heard. It was a luxurious resort-like experience combined with the charm and warmth of country hospitality. Heaven!

we stayed 2 nights in The Loft which is clean, neat, tidy and cosy. the advertised/featured views from the balcony are indeed there, but spoiled in the foreground by the hill hoist with its flapping parade of sheets and towels, a shame! the balcony was, for our stay, in full sun for most of the day which made enjoying it very difficult for us.the bathroom behind a gauze like curtain is not for the fainthearted.Janet is an attentive and helpful host.

We had a wonderful stay in the Loft. It was comfortable, clean, well-appointed with little extras that spoke of genuine service, and with enough elevation to look out on the lush hills, while listening to the birds. The breakfast items were a lovely addition. Janet and Bruce were wonderful hosts. Kurrajong is a beautiful village and within a short drive we were walking in the bush. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved staying at the Willows, the loft was so beautifully set up and homely. Bruce and Janet were wonderful hosts, and Dudley and Josie (their dogs) were fantastic companions when we had our meals on the balcony. Can't gush enough about how much we enjoyed our time here, Kurrajong has a cute village that was fun to explore. We definitely recommend staying here, and will hopefully stay again soon!

Special place, great location. Bruce, Janet and Dudley (the dog) were very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was beautifully finished and tastefully decorated. The fridge was full of farm fresh goodies for breakfast. The love and effort that has gone into the smaller details of this place is what made our stay extra special. Highly recommend, hope to go back soon.

It contains all you could possibly need for a weekend away, the fridge is filled with goodies for breakfast and the BBQ is perfect for a dinner on the deck. We really enjoyed our stay at the Willows . . . it is such a beautiful place to relax and take in a small farm lifestyle. Our daughter loved waking up in the morning and collecting eggs for our breakfast . . . where do you get that experience so close to Sydney! The Willows is both stylish, comfortable and affordable, with beautiful country views. It is a close drive to Bilpin, historic Windsor and Wisemans Ferry . . . there are also some beautiful bush walks that view the Grose River. Our hosts were friendly and generous, always making sure we had enough to eat and inviting us to sit by the outside fire with glasses of wine in hand. A wonderful way to spend the Easter Long weekend . . . thank you!!
