About this house rental
Lots of charm, comfortable holiday home with magnificent panoramic view of the living room, the master bedroom and the terrace on the sea. Beach access at 50m. Proximity to the dior garden (5 min on foot), access on foot to granville by the flat Gousset (approx 10 min). Very bright house with also terrace facing south garden and not overlooked. 3 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and separate WC.

My wife and I spent a week in the apartment with her sister and husband. The apartment was ideal. It seemed larger than described, with the bedrooms in separate areas that provided privacy and roomy, well-appointed common living areas. The large terrace with a fantastic view of the beach was perfect for lounging during the day and our evening cocktails. Short walks to the beach and to the local baker for our morning croissants. Highly recommended.

We loved the house with the fantastic view. The beach is very close. Also the town center is in walking distance. The owner is very kindly and speaks excellent English.

We had three terrific weeks in Hélènes house. Everything was as expected and it was lovely to meet her in person. We specifically liked the layout of the house as our teenage son had some space for himself. The view is unique and we loved Donville-les-Bains with its gorgeous beach and the close walking distance to Granville.

We had decided on this house because the photos already suggested a very nice view over the bay. And we were not disappointed! From the terrace, we could enjoy a final drink almost every day in the setting sun. Due to the unexpected but sometimes very warm temperatures during our stay, we were able to regularly jump into the cooling water, which we could reach by 3 min walk to the beach nearby. Despite the very high tide, there was a swimming pool that could be used at low tide, while at high tide it was completely submerged.
The house is old, but there are renovations every year: both the bathroom and the kitchen were completely renovated in 2021/2022. Most of the other rooms had been renovated already before. The rooms left also gradually being upgraded.
In addition, all of our questions were answered very quickly by Hélène, the landlady, which we thought was great. We were also able to get to know them personally. She was very courteous and provided us with bed linen and welcomed us with a small gift, for which we would like to say a big thank you again.
Due to the location, we were able to make many excursions in the surrounding area: Mont St. Michel, St. Malo, D-Day beaches, Bayeux, La Hague, kayaking, paragliding, cider/pommeaux/calvados manufacture, the islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Sercq or Iles des Chausey or Granville itself were not far away. In Granville there are also typical restaurants as well as the Christian Dior Museum (birthplace), just 15 and 5 minutes walk respectively.
We felt very relaxed and can highly recommend the accommodation.

Magnifique séjour au calme face à la mer
Propriétaire très prévenante et très sympathique...des produits locaux offerts dès notre arrivée.
Des petits jeux de société étaient accrochés à la porte pour notre petit loup de 3 ans le lendemain de notre arrivée.
Je recommande ce logement. Merci à Hélène pour sa gentillesse et son agréable accueil.

Fabulous seaside views
Helene was a superb host. Her communication from booking to check in was excellent, and she came to welcome us at the start of our stay and farewell us at the end. The house is beautiful and even better than the pictures, with a fabulous view of the sea, the saltwater lido pool in the bay and the bouchon mussel farm round the bay. The living rooms are spacious, light, and you ah w great views from the front of the house and of course the balcony which runs across the whole front of the house. The spacious garage under the house is another bonus to get your car and kit out of the sun. We strongly recommend Helene and her lovely house - thank you Helene for a wonderful week!

Wunderbare Ferien am Meer
Das schöne Haus entspricht in allen Punkten den Erwartungen: moderne Einrichtung, gute Betten, eine neue Küche etc. Lage und Aussicht sind nicht zu toppen, die Sonnenuntergänge von der Terrasse aus einfach traumhaft. Hélène ist eine aufmerksame Gastgeberin und steht für für Fragen und Tips gern zur Verfügung. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Fantastische Lage
Bei Lage und dem Ausblick der Wohnung bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Stadt Granville fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Einen "Sundowner" am Strand von Donville in der Abendsonne genießen ist ein Erlebnis. Sehr nette und stets hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit.

Très bien accueillis par Hélène, la propriétaire. Maison idéale pour notre famille (2 adultes-3 enfants) quartier très calme avec une vue mer magnifique, tout équipement nécessaire sur place. Parfaitement situé pour visiter la basse Normandie, pêche aux coquillages, plage et piscines de mer à moins de 5 min. Tout commerces à 5 min en voiture. Rien à redire hormis le faite que nous allons sûrement y revenir.

Wir haben uns in dem sehr gut gelegenen und ausgestatteten FH sehr wohlgefühlt.
Wir hatten eine grandiose Aussicht auf das Meer und den durch die Tide geprägten Strand. Die fußläufige Lage zur Stadt kam uns auch sehr entgegen. Die Kommunikation mit unserer sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Vermieterin hat reibungslos geklappt.
Es ist ein Haus, das wir sicher noch einmal nutzen möchten.

Dépaysement garanti
Un excellent séjour dans cette maison confortable et très lumineuse donnant directement sur la mer. L'accueil fût chaleureux et la réactivité excellente. Les couchers de soleil sont inoubliables! La meteo avec des pics à plus de 30° certains jours a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable et permis de prendre tous les repas en extérieur sur l'une ou l'autre des deux terrasses en fonction du vent. Nous recommandons vivement.

Wir haben ein sehr schönes direkt am Meer liegendes Haus vorgefunden.
Die Vermieterin die perfekt Engisch spricht hat uns gut in das Haus eingewiesen.
Vieles zum täglichen Gebrauch ist ohne Auto zu erreichen, und der Weg zur Altstadt oder Hafen ist in ca.20 Minuten gut zu schaffen.

The terrace is heavenly with room for up to six people to eat outside (we ate every meal outside for two weeks). The ocean air fills the house which is on a very quiet street, almost no cars went by. The back garden is charming too. The house is well-equipped and the beds very comfortable. Being able to walk the few minutes down to the glorious beach (with such delicious water for swimming) or into Granville for dinner and shopping, or to the Granville tennis club which gives onto the Christian Dior Museum gardens was marvelous. We didn't need a car the whole two weeks as you can also walk to the shops. Haven't slept so well in years. The best vacation we have ever taken. Thank you Helene.

Mehr Meer geht nicht
Wir hatten eine tolle Woche! Das Haus war für uns zwei Personen perfekt. Die Aussicht auf das Meer und die Küche mit dem Gas-Induktionsherd hat uns begeistert. Madame Hubert ist eine sehr freundliche Dame, die perfekt Englisch spricht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden unseren Urlaub gern noch einmal dort verbringen.

Die Küche könnte mal renoviert werden, aber insgesamt ein tolles Haus mit viel Platz und super Feeling ❤

wunderbare Lage - direkt am Meer. Inneneinrichtung nicht auf dem neuesten Stand, aber alles voll funktionsfähig.

Ruime woning met prachtig uitzicht op zee. Gedateerde keuken en moeilijk warm te krijgen.
Deze oudere vrijstaande woning is ruim en speels ingedeeld (split level) en heeft een prachtig uitzicht op de zee. Met 1 minuutje lopen ben je al aan het strand en met twintig minuten lopen ben je bij de restaurants van Granville. Het huis is van een vriendelijke eigenaar die goed Engels spreekt.
Als minpunten zijn te noemen de zeer gedateerde keuken en er is her en der met de 'Franse slag' schoongemaakt. Omdat wij er in de voorjaarsvakantie waren en het erg koud was, bleek een deel van de woning niet op temperatuur te komen. Dat was niet prettig.

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette maison. Elle est spacieuse, dotée d'une très belle vue, et très bien située à la fois proche de la plage et de la ville de Granville avec ses commerces et son centre historique.
L'accueil est simple, cordial, et flexible sur les horaires.

Très bon séjour à Donville les Bains
Nous avons séjourné 2 semaines ( 9 au 23 septembre 2017 ) dans la location de Madame Hélène Hubert et n'avons que des appréciations positives à donner . La maison est particulièrement agréable , confortable , très claire , avec une vue superbe sur la mer depuis le salon , la terrasse et une chambre .
Le quartier est très calme . Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et recommandons cette location . Ne pas oublier non plus le bon accueil et la disponibilité de Mme Hubert , c'est très agréable aussi .

20 JOURS EN MER
Nous n'avions jamais eu l'occasion de bénéficier d'une vue sur mer pareille et nous en avons vraiment profité. Nous pouvions nous croire en croisière sans le mal de mer et avec en plus le spectacle toujours changeant des marées. Même depuis la cuisine, tout en préparant les repas, on peut voir la mer. L'environnement de la maison est particulièrement calme et agréable, le supermarché Casino et les autres commerces sont à 500 m à pied. Aucun problème de stationnement à proximité de la maison. Celle-ci est bien équipée dans l'ensemble. C'est en fait une maison qui a entre 40 et 50 ans, que les propriétaires remettent avec beaucoup de zèle aux goûts des années 2000. Ainsi la salle d'eau du "haut" à l'été 2017 est certes fonctionnelle mais encore assez "vintage". La chambre qui domine la mer est évidemment, et de loin, la plus belle. La chambre en rez de jardin est assez isolée du reste de la maison. La petite chambre aux lits gigognes convient pour des enfants. Mais sachez que vous passerez un séjour inoubliable aux "courts sillons" et que les couchers de soleil s'admirent tout simplement depuis la terrasse car nous avons eu quasiment trois semaines de vrai beau temps.

The property was wonderful. The master bedroom was quite large and overlooked the sea. There was a lovely private Garden and Terrace. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine. The third bedroom was small with a single bed the second bedroom was in the basement level it had a full bed. It was A5 minute walk only two the water. It is a very beautiful and safe location. There are many excellent seafood restaurants nearby. You can make a day trip to the D-Day beaches. The host was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back again

We (3 adults) enjoyed the wonderful house in Donville les Bains very much - it is spacious, light-flooded, equipped with taste and style. With garden, patio and terrace we found always the right place to relax and enjoy our stay. Sea-view not only from the seaside terrace but also from 1 bedroom, living room and kitchen. We loved it!Description, infrastructure, equipment is approbiate (need to know: bedding & towels have to be brought). Everything was clean. Perfect and friendly organization of handover.
No one of us wanted to leave and go home - may be we will come back .
