The pillows were horrible the worst I’ve ever had at any hotel and I could not sleep.
Very nice.

Room and resort was clean
Service to room, Staff, view, no cleaning and servicing of room in 4 days. Lack of info in room.

Close to other local activities, beautiful spot on the lake.
Parking is always a tight squeeze! Small cottages are smaller than the hotel room.

No breakfast. Beautiful view of the water
We didn't stay during your busy time, like bike week. But If we had, the door locks & windows wouldn't have made me feevery safe

It was clean, clean, clean! The linens, the carpets, the surfaces… No dirt anywhere.
Not much! The check in/ check out times were a bit inconvenient. In at 4pm then out at 10am left us very little time to enjoy the place. (We were in town for a concert.)

No breakfast but the place was phenomenal
Nothing

We wish breakfast had been available, but lunch and dinner were great. It was a very active lake, and it was fun watching the boats while we relaxed on the beach. We also used the paddleboards and kayaks onsite.
Staffing seems to be a little bit of an issue. Everyone was working really hard and not enough staff to open for breakfast. Next time we will get a bigger room and not wait until the last minute to book. So many great options but fills up fast.

It was a hidden gem for afternoon and evening festivities - good food - staff and entertainment
No breakfast or coffee available on premused

location, right on the lake. ground floor room option was convenient as our son has a broken foot.
one of the double beds was broken, we got back to the room late and when we realized the bed was broken we went to the front desk and it was closed and no staff so our only option was to sleep on the floor or sleep with the bed on an angle half on the floor. one of the pillow cases had blood stains on it and the room was extremely hot as the air conditioner blew directly up into the curtains and didn’t circulate into the room.

Maintenance staff was helpful and friendly
No amenities. Wifi didn’t work. Front desk Staff rude and didn’t want to be bothered.

This motel is very dated. Probably hasn’t been updated since the 1970’s. Very disappointed with it. The sink burst a pipe while we were out and we came back to a flooded room. Rather than move us, they proceeded to have maintenance fix it, over two hours and the fumes from the torch were awful! The staff were very nice though.

our cottage was so clean and it being a 2 bedroom was perfect for us. The location was great. just steps to the lake. we enjoyed sitting outside in our screened in porch too.
I didn’t realize there would be so many steps as the resort is on a hill but it was good exercise.

service staff very efficient and friendly.
parking and means of egress in and out of parking onto main road can be hazardous.

Bases resort is a great place for a family to spend their vacation. It’s ideal location, exceptionally kind and helpful staff, the opportunity to swim, use the marina and dine are points that make it stand out among many other hotels on the region.
The place has a lot of potential. We believe the rooms need some renovations during the off season. Getting rid of the carpets, replacing them with waterproof laminate hard wood could be a cleaner and healthier option. Slightly harder mattresses could be more comfortable. Music options such as jazz, good regional folk music or quality rock music could add to the value.
