About this house rental

Call it Bohemian, Boho, Gipsy, Hippie, Darvish, or Sufi inspired; they all represent the same essence, style and even mindset, just labeled different by different cultures. Inspired by these styles and with a free spirit, oneness with nature, rejuvenation and cultural awareness in mind, we created and present to you our BohoPad.

My wife and I LOVE Charlotte for many reasons! Among them are the weather, the people, the opportunities and, at the top of the list, as the place where we met.

Our paths could not be more different. She was born in Belarus and with the help of her dad and her hard work was able to come to America. Arriving first in NY, she later moved to Boston and finally made her way to Charlotte. I was born in Iran, lived in India as a kid, before moving to California first and later to Charlotte in 1990 at the age of 10 with my family.

Finding ways to bring cultures together has always been my passion.

My first go at it was putting together international parties in order to use music and dance as a way to bring cultures together and spread diversity and acceptance in Charlotte. As I transitioned into real estate, that idea took a back seat through the rollercoaster ride of 2009 and the rough recovery following it.

That was the case until we were standing in the full cedar panel bedroom of a 1945, two-bedrooms, two-bath home in South Charlotte which needed a LOT of work.

We saw past the work and loved what it could be!

It could be not only our opportunity to create something that we had both talked about and dreamed about for a while, as far as design goes but also a chance to use the property as a way to revisit the idea of spreading cultural awareness in Charlotte.

As Charlotte gets more diverse and becomes a more beautiful melting pot, we hope the experience people have while staying at the BohoPad contributes to the understanding of the beauty in different cultures melting together.

Our first guest was on the phone with us as she walked into the door and gave us the best and most perfect first feedback. This world traveler staying at the BohoPad for a week, said she felt like she had stepped into a home from her travels and it was a bit surreal that the property is located in South Charlotte on the edge of Matthews near the Arboretum.

This is a fun, funky "cabin in the woods", complete with cute bunnies and chipmunks in the yard. If you're looking for a Marriott, this isn't for you, but it does have all the appliances and amenities you'll ever need, along with two bedrooms, two full baths, comfortable living room with a big TV, and a fully furnished kitchen. The host is very helpful and easy to reach. Highly recommended for anyone who prefers places a little out of the ordinary.

Our stay was great. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. We didn’t explore the kitchen so cannot comment on it. The outside looks a little rough upon arrival but inside was as described.

Had a wedding event and this property was perfect to set up all the flower arrangements. The only thing that was uncomfortable was that the windows of the bathroom had no tinting. Overall, the experience was good. Would have loved to have been able to be at the house more. Only was there to sleep and prepare the flowers.

We loved this property! It is truly a hidden gem. There were 3 of us and living areas gave plenty of space to share. We didn't do any cooking but the kitchen appeared to have everything one would need for a stay. What we loved most, though, was the outdoor space. We did some fun photo ops with the truck and enjoyed looking at the butterfly/bee garden. Our host was very responsive - even when I had dumb questions! I loved this property and will use it again when I come back to town.

We enjoyed our stay in this well-decorated, cozy house. We were in town for a tournament and the location was perfect. It was close to lots of restaurants and the SportPlex. The house was clean and had lots of great features that really made it stand out. The only issue we had was with the traffic noise out front which was pretty constant (on a busy road). However, it was expected as it was so close to everything. The owner was quick to respond, although no issues arose during our stay. I would recommend this eclectic home to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location.

We loved every moment we were there! We had 3 adults and two children under 7 y.o. The home is secluded off the main road, very accessible and private. The kids loved the pull out to watch Netflix on. The upgrades are beautiful and the home gives you a different atmosphere, you don’t even realize your in North Carolina. My husband and I loved the master bathroom; from the tile to the romantic feel as if we were on our own vacation. We will be rebooking even if we don’t have the children next time. We came to a family wedding so the revisiting is a high possibility. The house seems so tiny and you walk it and it’s completelt open giving it so much space to spread out. Laundry available WiFi Available. Anything and everything you could need besides food for an extended stay. Just head to Walmart 5 miles down the road and your set. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

Good vibes from the moment we stepped inside the bohopad. The house is much bigger than it looks in the pics. It is cheery and welcoming and has all the comforts of home. There’s a fire pit in the backyard and a hammock in the front yard. We can’t wait to stay again the next time we visit the area.

We absolutely adored this charming boho home. It was clean, cozy, comfortable, and so nicely decorated. We did a lot of sightseeing and traveling here and there during the day and relaxed and enjoyed our home away from home in the evenings. Great location ! Amir was so accommodating and friendly, I’ve never had someone be so generous and helpful. This will be our go to place in NC.

We have rented more than two dozen homes over the years and the Boho Pad was one of our most unique experiences. As soon as we turned into the driveway the hustle and bustle of the Charlotte area disappeared. It is difficult for pictures to reflect the quality of the renovation and décor of this location. You will find the house super clean and well-appointed, and we found the ambiance comfortable and relaxing. The owners were very responsive and offered helpful suggestions for visiting the area. The location is near grocery stores, shopping and restaurants and serves as a convenient base for exploring Charlotte. We definitely would stay here again. Do yourself a favor.

Owners were extremely nice and hospitable. The house was awesome and super cozy. The decor inside was amazing and all necessities were readily available. The backyard garden seating area was super cool and the vintage pickup in the backyard was well appreciated nostalgia. We can't wait to come back and will definitely recommend.

Surprised my wife and kids with a trip to Carolina. Had several big surprises for them, my and wife kids are bragging more about the BoHo Pad more than anything else!!! Beautiful place, everything you need for a comfortable stay with or without kids.
