This gorgeous 2,800 SF home is located right on the water (Lake Rescue) with one acre of surrounding land and quick access to Okemo (5 minutes) and Killington (20 minutes) ski areas. It is a perfect setup and fabulous location for a vacation with family or friends. Local supermarket delivery via instacart means you never need to leave the house if you don’t want to! The summer, fall and winter views of the lake and ski mountains are incredible and the location is wonderful for water sports, golfing, cycling and summer fun, dazzling fall foliage and skiing at Okemo is 5 min away or 20 min to Killington. Not to mention snow shoeing, ice fishing and cross country skiing on the lake on your doorstep plus the VAST trails, providing all year round fun!
Our home has stunning views of the lake and Okemo with an entire wall of windows across the living room and kitchen, 20ft high ceilings with huge architectural beams. The openness makes it possible for everyone to feel connected across the kitchen and living room and even out to the deck! This house stands out from the rest with its unique fresh, nautical feel – lots of blue and white to make you feel at one with your surroundings and a seemless transition from indoors to out.
All bedrooms have air conditioning. The house has 3 bedrooms plus open plan sleeping area - a king size master bedroom with an all new en-suite bathroom ; both second and third bedrooms each have a queen bed. In addition the downstairs open plan room has two single beds. In total the house can very comfortably sleep 8 people across two levels with 2½ bathrooms.
The living room boasts a beautiful wood burning fireplace and wall of windows overlooking the lake and Okemo in the distance. The kitchen is open plan with a large table to seat 8 people with windows overlooking the lake. All the amenities you need in a kitchen are provided - gas cooker, new stainless appliances, coffee machine, waffle machine, ice cream maker, blender, toaster - we have them all - and a gas BBQ out on the deck. The living room and kitchen both open onto a beautiful deck stretching across the front of the house and directly overlooking the lake, with stairs down to a patio entertainment area and the lake.
On the main level the master bedroom (king bed) overlooks the side garden and lake through 3 huge windows and the master bath is beautifully decorated with tumbled marble, a heated floor and walk-in shower. The second bedroom with a queen bed is decorated with a sailing theme and architecturally inspired sliding barn door. The third bedroom with queen bed is located adjacent to a full bathroom with tub and shower on the lower level (still above ground).
The lower level has windows overlooking the lake and offers access to the patio and dock through double French doors. This huge open space (almost 1000sqft) has a 65” flat screen TV, ping pong table and two additional single beds (creating a fourth sleeping area) making it a great place for the kids to hang out!. There is also a full laundry room with washing machine and dryer on the lower level.
In summer, we offer the use of paddle boards, kayak and canoe. Our 130' lake frontage is in a bay with shallow water access and offers a protective cove. Stairs off the dock create additional access to the water. In the winter, the mudroom provides ample space for helmets, boots and jackets with a large garage available to store your skis and snowboards.
The village of Ludlow, contains lots of great restaurants with fine dining (if you ever want to leave our home away from home), and Weston, a quick 15-minute drive away, is home to the famous Vermont Country Store (with the best cheese around) and also offers great theatre productions. Nearby, Manchester is well known for its many designer factory outlets and Woodstock, for New England charm.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lake house. The views of Okemo Mountain rising above the lake are beautiful. The house was extremely well appointed. We had an absolute blast on the lake using the canoe, kayak and paddleboard. The brand new dock was a terrific spot for sunning and swimming. The hosts were extremely communicative and very helpful - even pointing out some wildlife highlights in the area (including an eagle's nest)! We would absolutely stay there again and are planning on it.

We had a great New Years weekend. We were looking for a place that had lots of space where we could all hang out and enjoy each others company and this beautiful house did just that. The place had everything we needed The family room with the fireplace was wide open to the kitchen so those of us cooking could still enjoy everyone company. Lots of sitting area for us to play card and games. There was lots of open spaces. The basement also had a nice big tv for those who wanted to watch football. We will definitely stay here again.

The house was located on a quiet gravel road with plenty of trees around for privacy from neighboring properties. It had beautiful views of Lake Rescue and Okemo Mountain from its long elevated deck outside the main living area and through the windows that extended across the house. The open kitchen and living room had been beautifully renovated with lots of light, modern cabinets, and high ceilings with dark wood beams. Downstairs had a comfortable seating area and an enormous TV. The lake was visible from all the windows. The arrangement of the bedrooms was the only oddity of the house. One bedroom could only be accessed by walking through the living room and up two steps, the third bedroom was on the lower level (which worked out ok, but wasn’t ideal for our family with an elderly mother-in-law who couldn’t use stairs). Though we were disappointed that we couldn’t swim in the lake because of major flooding the week before, we still had very nice week. The owner was wonderful to work with.

Great lakeside vacation with the family. House was very nice: modern kitchen opening into living area made it a great family environment. Views of lake were spectacular. Despite some rainy weather during the week, we spent a lot of time on the lake - canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking, wind surfing and fishing.

This is our first ski trip with children and it couldn’t have gone better. The house was perfect for my family and friends. More than enough space for the kids to run around and play. A beautiful kitchen to cook in with plenty of accessories. The house was very clean! The house was also 5 or so minutes away from both Okemo sites so no rush or traffic in the mornings and returning home. The property has a great hill for sledding which the kids and some adults enjoyed on our last day of stay. A big bonus that the house has a wood burning fireplace. We enjoyed it so much and there was plenty of chopped wood provided for our use. The owner Marion is so friendly and nice about checking in on us, she was always available by text for any questions and she responds back very quickly. We would definitely come back!

We rented this home during holiday season and it was perfect for our family. Kids hit the slopes while adults worked from home each day with a view of lake and the falling snow. The host was very thoughtful and communicative. House had everything we needed to be comfortable - great TV, games, cooking utensils. Even a tire inflator - which helped when we got a flat tire overnight! We slept great and built a fire every night.

Wonderful July Stay
We had a fantastic time at Marion's house. The outdoor deck has amazing lake views and very comfortable chairs to enjoy the space at all times of day. A highlight of the weekend was paddle boarding and swimming in the lake just a few steps away! The rooms are pleasant and the kitchen is very spacious, which made cooking for a group very easy. There is an inside dining table where we had dinners and and an outdoor dining table which we enjoyed using for lunch. The house was very clean and Marion is very easy to communicate with. Wifi worked extremely well.
We are already looking forward to another visit!

Perfect for family gathering
The house is located on on the water with great views that made us feel outside while inside. The open concept layout worked well for us, and the finishings were modern and up-to-date. Although we spent much of the time on the water using kayaks, paddle boards, or swimming off the dock. The location is close enough to Ludlow to get groceries, take-out, etc. Nice markets in town on the weekend, as well.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot
We had a wonderful week on the lake. The house is fantastic with upgraded amenities, plenty of space and beautiful views of the lake. The outside has plenty of deck space, a nice patio sitting area closer to the water and a ton of dock and water front to spread out and enjoy the water. looking forward to our next stay.

Home has been remodeled tastefully and the owners were gracious hosts. Very comfortable and thoughtful with little touches like ample firewood, fire starters, gift basket of pancakes and syrup. Location was great to Okemo and view was spectacular.

Wonderful!
We booked this property for a winter getaway with family and friends and it was nearly perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. I walked in and the first thing that strikes you is the view. We had a weekend planned with winter activities but I would have been just as happy to sit in the living room with a cup of coffee and look at the view.
The only issue we experienced was that the dishwasher had broken prior to our stay but the property had contacted us prior to let us know. Really.... not a big deal. We appreciated the heads up so we could pick up a couple of extra supplies. Marion was very good with communicating with us.
As for the property, it exceeded by expectations. Every room was comfortable and it has a perfect open floor plan for people to hand out in the living room and others to be preparing food in the kitchen. We had come with older teens and adults. Everyone's needs and wants were filled. There is an abundance of games and activities for all.
I would most definitely book this property again if we were in the area. I can see the appeal of this property for all seasons.

Marion made the check in/out process very easy and was very communicative. The house itself is beautiful and very clean. It is so close to Okemo which was great for us to get to the mountain early. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book it again for our next trip.

A home for every season
This lakeside home can be enjoyed in every season. We rented this home for a ski get away. Highlights are the lakeside views, beautiful kitchen, living room with fireplace, basement entertainment area with ping pong table and game cabinet.
The bedrooms are comfortable, there is ample storage space for ski gear and clothing.
We were even surprised by some fireworks on the opposite side of the lake (unrelated to rental).
Marion is a great host who provides detailed information and is very accommodating.

Warm Family Stay
We had three generations stay at Marion's place over the holidays and each age enjoyed it. From proximity of Okemo Skiing, to the airy view while we cooked and opened presents, it was a lovely place to spend the holiday. There was one major house hiccup, and Marion handled it with speed and grace.

Spectacular home
Rental home was designed beautifully and inches from the lake with a clear view of Okemo. Host was proactively communicative, provided easy and clear checkin instructions and also responsive. It was a lovely retreat.

Beautiful home on a peaceful lake in Autumn
We stayed for 4 nights at Marion’s beautiful lake home in October. It was such a wonderfully decorated home that while we had reservations to eat dinner in town, we cancelled because we just wanted to cook in their kitchen and relax on their deck overlooking the lake. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided (minus the items in the description), and my preschooler really enjoyed the board games. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Marion!

Lakefront Getaway
We loved our 6 night stay on Lake Rescue. We and our adult kids enjoyed every day by the lake spent on the dock taking advantage of the last days of the summer sun while fishing paddle boarding and canoeing. Spent many nights on extensive deck overlooking the lake just a feet away and then by the fire pit with VT craft beers and cheese! Beautiful Lakefront home with all the essentials. Best kitchen ever! Large downstairs family room which we enjoyed watching the NFL football game one evening. Be sure to visit Buttermilk Falls a short trip from the home!! Marion was very accommodating and made sure our stay was perfect!! We would love to come back as it was so hard to leave!!

What a lovely spot !
I just spent 5 nights at this property with my two sons. It is a perfect spot right on Lake Rescue. We made full use of the location by swimming and kayaking daily. The house has plenty of room and is located near all amenities. The host was also most helpful I'm making sure our stay was thoroughly enjoyable!

This house is amazing and the host was fantastic! She communicated with us to ensure we had everything we needed and was available whenever we had a question. We would love to come back again when the weather is warmer to take advantage of the lake and outdoor amenities of the property.

Wow, what a weekend!!
All the comforts of home. The house was exactly as described and still exceeded our expectations. Breathtaking views of the lake and Okemo mountain that can't be described and need to be seen. We wish we could have stayed longer and that the house held more people. We would return with no hesitation, this could become an annual tradition. Marion is a great communicator and offered many great suggestions on what to do and where to dine.

We came to this property for 5 nights for a fall getaway during fall foliage. The home is in a wonderful location on the lake and allowed us for a very peaceful getaway. We cooked in for the entire visit and were able to navigate the kitchen with the items provided. Marian is wonderful with communication. Super responsive.
What we feel should be talked up more about this property is the fact that it is on the East side of the lake. This was so important to us because the West side is a main highway and there is a lot of noise on the road. Marian's house is super quiet and the ducks and slow boats were what you mainly heard. Also, with it being on the East side, you can watch the sunset over Okemo Mountain which is just stunning and made our trip.
House was stacked with games and a ping pong table which was a nice surprise for the one rainy day (although paddles need an upgrade). Furniture was a little worn but very comfortable and master bed was comfy.
We would absolutely stay at this property again and were sad when we had to depart.
