About this house rental

This unique property is at the end of E. 5th Ave in a quiet neighborhood with a conservation area on one side and Lake in the back. It is in a quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to Mt. Dora with all of its quaint shops, restaurants and activities. There is always something going on in Mt. Dora and you can get a complete list of activities by googling Mt. Dora on the internet. The property is .8 miles to Downtown Donnelly Park
The Uptown Nature Retreat is accessed on the left side of the house next to the Conservation area with lots of butterflies and birds. As you walk into the house you are in the living room with dining area and access to the screened in back porch. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of counter space and a counter seating area for dining. The livIng room has a large screen TV with a DVD, Netflix and Amazon Prime. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, full bath and a sitting area with TV. A second bedroom has twin beds and it’s own full bath with shower and separate door to the outside.
The large back porch overlooks a huge fenced in yard overlooking Lake Franklin and is a great place to relax in the morning with a cup of tea or coffee or have a cocktail in the afternoon. The house is shaded by large oak trees that keep the house cool and comfy. A washer and dryer is also available for your use.
Lake Franklin is a private lake and a Great Lake to fish or canoe or kayak in. I don’t have kayaks at this time but feel free to bring your own.
We love pets that are well behaved and house trained and charge 25$ per pet per stay.

This well equipped 2 bedroom ground floor apartment included a lovely screened back patio opening onto a garden full of bird feeders and beautifully maintained. We were walking distance to a vibrant downtown area, with historic buildings, interesting shops, many wonderful restaurants and a lovely lake shore park. We had a wonderful time in Mt Dors

We had a great stay. The unit is attached to the owners home but we had plenty of privacy! The home was clean and beds were comfortable. The bird feeders brought constant birds into the serene back yard. My fiance enjoyed his time on the lake. He went out every single day and caught over 60 fish during our stay. This was the perfect location to mount Dora and the owner was responsive and helpful.

We spent most of our time in the back porch enjoying the birds and butterflies! Such a relaxing backyard. Took the taxi out to dinner which was great cause we didn’t have to find a place to park. Shopping and the food in Mt Dora was great. Would definitely come back again.

This sweet little yellow house is surrounded by native flowers and plants. Not to mention the bird feeders. This touched my heart I also love birds. The home itself is lovely the pictures don’t do it justice. We truly enjoyed our stay, and the host are wonderful.

This sweet little property met our families needs to a tee. Lovely walk to dinner and a nice walk into Mt Dora proper. The washer came in supper useful for a kids regatta and another kids soccer tournament.

The property is in a nice and quiet location. The place itself is very nice. The beds are so comfortable!! We loved the backyard. If we had a question, Jaimee would respond very quickly. We would most definitely stay here again when we return to Mt. Dora.

This house is fabulous! So clean, updated, and very spacious. We can’t say enough good things about this property. The outdoor area is top tier. We loved all the plants and butterflies. A short walk to downtown or even shorter drive. The walk was nice to see the neighborhood. We wished our stay had been longer. 5 stars!

My husband and I had family to visit for the weekend and this house was in a great location. John the taxi driver in the golf cart picked us up and dropped us at the Lakeside Inn , just leave him a tip, such a lovely guy. The house is very comfortable, 2 bedrooms , comfy beds , well stocked kitchen although we only had breakfast and headed out for the day. Definitely book again when I'm in the area . Thank you Jamie and great communication.

This is a well-appointed, very clean bungalow. The grounds are charming and very native and eco-friendly. The owner was quick to respond to the two questions we had. The screen-in porch provided a lovely spot to sit as well as did the sitting area in the back yard. This location was a quick hop to downtown. All in all, a lovely getaway.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. The bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean and in working order. This property is more of a duplex, than a single family home. The owner was not at home during our stay so privacy was not an issue. We loved the nature garden. It's on a quiet street next to a preserve.

We had the most beautiful time in Mount Dora. We could not recommend this property enough. The booking was easy; property was perfectly presented as advertised and lastly the hostess had everything to make it an experience that will leave lasting memories. Loved this 2BR/2BA cottage that’s on a small body of water but has a huge yard that our little dog loved! The place was super clean, great beds and linens, kitchen well equipped and walking distance to downtown Mt Dora. The weather was fantastic and everything we did was fun. It was great to come home and sit outside or on the cozy screened in porch. We will definitely go back. Owner Jaimee left us great check in directions and you can tell she takes care of her property inside and out. The birds and butterflies love her gardens! We saw all types of different species! Great place to stay!

We had such a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The home is well maintained, roomy, well stocked, and very clean. Jaimee and Keith are wonderful and friendly hosts, and were very accommodating in every aspect of our stay. One of the best things about this home is the absolutely beautiful gardens on the property. The home is surrounded by beautiful oak trees, jasmine lined fences along with a gorgeous butterfly garden out front. It was in full bloom during our visit which was really nice. We enjoyed almost all our meals on the roomy screened in back porch while watching the many birds visiting the bird feeders. The inlet the home is on attracted Herons, Sandhill cranes, Anhingas and ducks which we enjoyed watching in the evening. Even though, the owners live in the unit next to the rental we still felt like we had plenty of privacy. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Jaimee and Keith for such a wonderful stay!!!

We stayed two nights. It was exactly what we wanted. Very clean, quiet and the hosts were super nice and accommodating. We will stay again. Walk to downtown area was about .7 miles and loved the neighborhoods. The screened back porch was great. Easy check-in.

Overall, we loved it! The house is located at the corner of a quiet street. Our kids loved riding their skateboards down the hills. The inside of the house is very clean. All the bedding smelled so good and were very comfy! We brought our little dog Capone. The neighbors(owners) had three dogs in their house. Their dogs are bigger and we had to make sure our dog wasn't in the shared yard when their's was. That was pretty inconvenient and not advertised on here. We tried to enjoy the patio but the dog kept coming up and their owners came to bring him back to his house. The BBQ pit is also shared. They took the pit to their side, which didn't bother us but might affect someone else. We usually BBQ but didn't because of Thanksgiving. The house is conveniently located to downtown. The neighborhood is quiet. Jamie quickly fixed the internet issues. Our son loved the poplin chair!!!

Exactly as described. Perfectly furnished with everything needed. Loved the screened patio in the back looking onto the water and bird feeders. Quiet and serene location. Great set up for 2 couples. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Mt Dora is a little slice of heaven.

The place was nice but did not realize we were connected to owner/dog sitter. A bit strange to be sharing a backyard. Never done that before, but it was nice and a very relaxing place.

Jamiee was an awesome host. The property was located on a quiet neighborhood with lots of nature . It was a short walk to downtown festivities without the hassle of parking. Also close to a few resturant. I highly recommend Lake house resturant for breakfast about a 3 block walk . Our host had cute accents in bathroom, very comfortably beds and relaxing seating on the porch to view the wildlife. I would highly recommend Jamiee home in Mt Dora for your next vacation destination.

This was a perfect place for what we wanted. Great location. Very close to downtown. The house was amazing with a fenced yard for the pup. Jaimee (owner) is on property, but it was nice to have her there for local knowledge. We will definitely be back.

The cottage was very cute, clean and welcoming. We felt very comfortable during our stay. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood and just a 4 min drive to Downtown Mount Dora. The backyard is big and beautiful with lots of birds and butterflies. I loved how big and spacious the master bedroom with lots of lamps and light options. Jaimee was very attentive, answering all our questions immediately while we were there and gave us nice recommendations. We can't wait to go back!
