Big Timber Lodge is an experience you do NOT want to miss! Big Timber is ideally located just south of Helen, GA in beautiful mountain surroundings on an idyllic private lake. Whether you want to relax in privacy on the front or back covered porches or have fun swimming, canoeing, or fishing on the private lake, Big Timber has so much to offer.
For fall and winter time guests on those cold evenings, cozy up around the outdoor firepit and roast some marshmallows or sip on some hot chocolate as you gaze into the firelight. Enjoy preparing food in the well-equipped kitchen for friends and family while you chill your newly bought bottle of wine from one of the many local wineries. Or for that afternoon nap or a good night’s sleep, you can find seclusion in the private master suite and wash the day away in the jetted garden tub. There is more than enough room for your friends and family in this grand lodge!
This spacious 2-story home has an overhanging loft and ample room for up to twenty people to sleep comfortably. Once you find yourself wandering downstairs, you'll find the fully finished terrace level with a full-size pool table and additional family room with a bar to kick back and cheer on your favorite team on the 2 large HD TVs.
After you've explored inside Big Timber Lodge, step outside and look at all the possibilities for fun and relaxation. Relax in the large 7-person hot tub under the stars. You may even decide to walk down Big Timber Trail to the small private community lake and enjoy the private dock with supplied canoes for fishing and boating.

As a large group of friends it is hard to find a nice cabin to stay in. The Big Timber Lodge has everything we wanted: plenty of beds, a pool table, cornhole, updated appliances, and close proximity to the river. Overall we had a great time!

If you’re looking for a cabin for a family or friend group that has secluded woods feeling but is close to Helen and all the fun things to do, this is the place for you! The cabin was clean and everything you needed to feel at home. Plenty of room for kids and games for them. Relaxing fire pit and hot tub. Nearby beautiful lake with canoes. The company was easy to contact and quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay here for 3 nights for a spring break getaway with 3 families. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had ALMOST everything we needed (we needed to peel carrots but couldn’t find peeler). Loved that there was water and ice dispenser in the fridge. Kids loved all being down in the game room. Hot tub was hot and enjoyed by all. Loved the private pond and canoe access! There is no dart board as advertised FYI. Appreciated the text upon check in that I was able to reach out to when we needed sheet changed for one bed upon finding a stain upon arrival. Housekeeping came out and changed. Overall, all were very happy with our stay and enjoyed our time so very much.

Cabin was perfect for our family stay. We had 16 people in the cabin and there was plenty of things to do nearby and on the site. The kids loved the game room, fire pit, and spa during our stay. Helen was only a 20 minute drive with many restaurants and activities for everyone to do. The alpine mountain coaster was one of the highlights of the trip. Cabin was clean and plenty of space for a relaxing vacation in the woods. I would highly recommend this property and I would love to visit again. Check in and out was a breeze.

We spent several days at Big Timber Lodge and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the cabin and all it had to offer. With eight adults, we had plenty of room and everything we needed and more. The downstairs game room and outside deck with hot tub and fire pit was perfect for fun evenings making family memories. We enjoyed playing pool, darts, and even had a corn hole tournament. We also canoed the Chattahoochee River through Wildwood Outfitters, had lunch at Troll Tavern in Helen, grilled at the cabin, and enjoyed a beautiful evening at Yonah Mountain Vineyards. We were close enough to visit our family in Cornelia and Demorest but also felt like we were secluded in a beautiful mountain home. We highly recommend Big Timber Lodge.

This property was amazing. We loved it. It actually felt like a home away from home. We went for my kids summer vacation, 4th of july and my daughter's birthday trip. We had a blast here. It was a easy close drive to helen ga. We thought we wasnt going to stay at the house that much but we actually stayed at the house more then going out because it had everything to keep us busy. My son and step dad loved going fishing everyday. My daughter and her friends ejoyed the hot tub. Me and my mom enjoyed just being able to spend time with the family. It was one of our favorite trips. We will definitely consider staying here again. We stayed an extra night because we loved it so much. It was a awesome 8 day vacation. Love, love, love this cabin!!!

We had a family and friends weekend stay at the cabin. We really enjoyed the property. The amount of games was excellent and kept everybody busy. Big Timber had a lot of essentials that was appreciated. The location to Helen was great too. We would definitely book this property again.

It was perfect. We had a big, diverse, group. 3 families with 7 kids, ranging from infant to 15. Even had a pregnant mom. Everything was accessible and available. We literally have no complaints, other than it would have been nice to have a few drawers in the master closet for a long stay.

We all had a great time staying here. It was close enough to town where we went to the Christmas parade but far enough out where we had privacy. Even though it rained the kiddos had plenty to do around the cabin and enjoyed themselves. We enjoyed having the cabin decorated for the holidays because that is why we were coming together there. A half way point between north Carolina and south Alabama.

Excellent Stay
Excellent property. Plenty of room for our three families to stay. All of the kids loved the huge bunk room. The only hiccup in our stay was we couldn’t get the TV to work in the bunk room. That wasn’t a big deal though. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Great Place
The pictures don’t do this place justice. The cabin is truly amazing inside & out. It provided all things you would want for cabin weekend away. Pool, darts, foos ball, horseshoe, games, beautiful pond with kayaks, hot tub, awesome fire pit, a ton of beds, ETC. The basement and back porch is seriously awesome. Great for big groups! Awesome time

This property was one of the most organized and clean cabins we have ever rented. The kitchen was well appointed, plenty of towels and linens in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Spent almost every night enjoying the fire pit to close out our days.

Annual Family Christmas Trip
We started 4 years ago giving a Weekend Getaway to our kids and grandkids for Christmas instead of buying gifts . It has been the best decision, family memories will last a lifetime! We are a party of 14 and this cabin was perfect! Plenty of room , clean , comfy beds , had everything we needed in the kitchen, lots of towels, plenty of seating and much more . Christmas weekend was nothing short of amazing.

Very nice cabin
The cabin was very nice on inside..we had a problem with the front.it was left over paint cans,drop cloths etc. all over porch..we couldn't even get up the porch stairs without tripping over stuff..if I would've had small children it would be been extra dangerous..the cleaning crew came as we was leaving/took pictures saying unacceptable..it was a mess..besides that we had a great time there..loved it
would use it again after cleaned up front..stafff was great to communicate with.

Great Stay!
We were a group of 3 families traveling to Helen, GA for the first time, each with 2 kids per family. Our kids loved this cabin so much, the entire downstairs was for them. It was stocked well with all your basic needs (moreso than the usual). There was so much room to spread out, another family could have easily joined us and it was only about a 10 minute drive into town. We had such a great stay here, we would definitely recommend the Big Timber Lodge cabin.

Overall the place was great. There were a few issues such as we had no dishwasher the entire stay. A maintenance came and had to order a new one. The hot tub was hot but the jets weren’t really working. I would recommend bringing your own firewood or buying some. While it looks like the canoes are on a lake it is really just a big pond but it was still fine all the kids had a great time.
