About this house rental
Just a short walk to so many of the things our wonderful Alaskan town has to offer - gourmet restaurants, sandwich shops, Thai, Sushi, pizzerias, characterful bars, cheerful cafés with locally roasted coffee, art galleries & pottery shops featuring the myriad of talented local artists who call Homer home; The Pratt Museum, the Islands & Oceans Visitor Center, a movie theater - even the beach ... all within striking distance of this charming house.
A short drive away is the famous Homer Spit which leads you to the harbor and all the fabulous fishing & nature activities we offer here.
Completely rebuilt and remodeled, this historic house was saved by its owners as a piece of Homer's history. It has everything you will need for a most comfortable stay - a brand new full kitchen to prepare your freshly caught fish, two bedrooms each with their en suite bathrooms, and a guest restroom if you have extra people. One bedroom has two extra long twin beds that can be made in to a King bed. The other has a Queen bed. Its spacious deck is warm and sunny and has a view of the Bay and mountains beyond. Though right in town, it has a lovely private, woodsy feel. Don't be surprised to find a moose napping under the trees!

Perfect for 2 couples. Highly recommend although the only place you can walk to is Alice’s Champagne Palace across the street but no biggie since we had a vehicle. No hot tub. Which we did not care about, anyway. Had a little trouble locating it because the other reference building is no longer marked so key in on “Alice’s.”

Everything and more as described, family didn’t want to leave and already when we are coming back.

The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Clean and updated house close to town. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay while in Homer.
Accuracy of listing only rated 4 stars as check out time is listed as "check out after 11AM" yet it was requested of us that we needed to depart by 10AM or cleaning would be an additional $50. Note to owner: please change your listing details to reflect this.

Went to visit Homer and could not have found a better location. A short drive to the Spit and a walk away from several restaurants and shops not to mention the beach.
The home was much larger than expected from the ad and very comfortable for 4 adults .

Love the location so close to the best halibut fishing! We had a cute bunny visit daily.

We were very comfortable. Black rabbits and moose in the side yard every day. Enjoyed the seafood, beautiful view. Both days were very warm and clear. We could see all the mountains. Particularly enjoyed our view of Denali on the Sterling highway. ❤️❤️❤️

Great location for our stay in Homer, central to everything. Easy to communicate with owner, we were missing some towels on check in, called her and our issue was immediately resolved. Would definitely recommend a stay here if visiting Homer!

Our group of 2 couples, (4 adults) stayed here for 3 nights. We definitely wanted 2 bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms, this place had 2 1/2 baths and that was awesome. Everyone had enough privacy, kitchen was well equipped, location was good, had the weather been better we definitely would've taken advantage of the deck more. Would definitely stay here again.

This was an excellent base for our fishing and other trips. And if you’re a fan of live music, this is the place for you. Alice’s Champagne Palace is right across the street and has bands on many of the summer weekend nights.

A clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay in Homer. It was great to be close to the spit and close to shops in town. Our host was responsive and gave us some wonderful tips on things to do and places to go while in Homer.

The house has plenty of room for two couples and had everything we needed for our stay in Homer. It is in town but a little hard to find as it is “tucked away” but that adds to the charm. The kitchen was stocked with pantry supplies, which went above what we expected. The beds were comfortable. A wonderful place to stay!

The location was great to enjoy Homer and the house was stocked with everything needed to make us feel at home. Victoria was very responsive and knowledgeable about the area. Overall a great place to stay.

Loved Homer and the home was neat, clean and private. Large rabbit kept us company along with a young moose. He slept at the back door!!!

Convenient. Comfortable. Lots of space. Clean.

The view is spectacular, the beds were very comfortable, and the proximity to the Spit and town was convenient.
Our only glitch was finding the place initially; it is located behind a house.

The only thing I would suggest is that the owner provide trash service. I think for what people pay that should be provided instead of having to haul the trash to the spit and find a dumpster to put it in.

Very pleased with the home. Added bonus with the mother moose out back with the twins.

A quaint little town surrounded by beautiful terrain. Victoria’s home was just what we needed and was within walking distance to downtown and Bishop beach. The Spit was close by but I recommend driving there. We saw numerous Eagles feasting on the fish there. The Spit, although a bit of a “tourist trap” had every kind of tour you could want and multiple restaurants and boutiques. You could also fish from the shore. We were lucky enough to have fresh fish that my husband caught out there from the “fishing hole.”

Excellent property. Maintained with many consumables like flour, spices, coffee, soaps for washer and dishwasher. I wish all VRBOs were maintained this way. In town location but surrounded by trees makes it very private. I highly recommend this rental.

Excellent location, very clean and comfortable. Easy communications with the owner. Moose in the yard (so cool). Black rabits so unique. Had a great time. Owner was a great tour guide too!!

Comfortable house in the middle of town. Perfect for two couples. Thanks, Victoria, for letting us use your home!

We stayed in the dead of winter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Comfortable and plenty of room for the 4 of us. As was stated in the description, everything you need is provided, and very convenient to town - could walk to many places in January with no issues. Although the house is close to a number of establishments , it sits back off the road and is very quiet. To top it off, Victoria was very quick in responding to the questions I had. She made good recommendations, and even greeted us at the door…….while she was clearing snow and ice to help with our arrival. If you are like me, you have already read through lots of rental descriptions. I would suggest you stop your search here. You have found your home in Homer.

This is a really nice place. Great beds with comfortable pillows, sheets, and covers. Very nicely furnished. My only knock on the location is the closeness of a bar (about 1 block away) that plays live music until 2AM on the weekend. I would however, recommend this place.
