The stay at Hale Pulelehu’a was a special experience for our family. The property was perfect for our family of five. Rooms and outdoor areas are spacious, everything well cared for, and we immediately felt at home. Being steps away from the beach allowed everyone to conveniently swim, snorkel, and relax. The natural beauty of the surrounding area is picture perfect. Every day felt like being in paradise. Thank you Hale Pulelehu’a for the one of a kind memories.

We spent a week on the North Shore of Kauai in this beautiful home! The gardens are lovely, the home is inviting and comfortable with plenty of room for our family of four! Just steps from the sandy beach, smells of the pacific and a nearly private beach!
We were welcomed by a clean home, cute critters (chickens, anoles, geckos, wild birds and snails) and a kind host. I definitely recommend the privacy of the Haena area of the North Shore and guarantee you’ll love enjoying the Aloha of Kauai in this home!

Our stay was beyond compare. The lovely home was welcoming and comfortable. The location was excellent. A beautiful beach with spectacular views steps away from the front door. We appreciate how the homeowner was in communication with us. It was all we could have hoped for in a rental home! Mahalo

I could not imagine a more perfect house to hold our family vacation. We loved the home,.... it was better than imagined. We loved the large kitchen and the open deck spaces. We had many delicious family meals and daily happy hours.
The location was wonderful, as we had a short path to our own beach, and minutes away from the spectacular Napili coast, the town of Hanalei and many surfing and beaching opportunities. We absolutely loved our time here. 5 Stars ++++

Our family had a wonderful experience! The location is perfect…….nearby the beach, located on a quiet near hood street & an easy walk to a nearby coffee shop. Another plus was the abundant “extras” provided at the house such as kitchen seasonings & beach gear. The house is very comfortable & has a beautiful view. Our toddler grandchildren are already talking about wanting to go back again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Everything about our stay was perfect. The host was very responsive to any and all questions leading up to our stay. We had no need to contact him while we were there. Location is amazing, living space is open and clean, and had everything we needed. We look forward to a return visit in the not too distant future!

An absolutely perfect place! We enjoyed every bit of our vacation and the location of this home was a big part of that. Steps from a stunning beach and a short drive to some of Kauai's best sights. Easily the most well appointed rental home (kitchen, towels, beach supplies) we have stayed in.

Perfect home to stay in on the North Shore that is frankly, undersold from the pictures and the description. The house is actually much larger than it looks from the photos, is literally 100 steps to the beach (I counted). Doesn't just have a few chairs and snorkeling gear, but 5+ beach chairs, snorkeling gear in all sizes for all ages, water shoes for all sizes and all ages, beach umbrellas, cribs for babies. There was never a moment where we needed something and it wasn't there. Can't wait to come back!

This home was fantastic for our family! It was spotless and communication was excellent with property owner and on island manager. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and included our extended family - daughter and husband with 2 grands and our son and his wife. Plenty of room for everyone. We loved the patio and short walk to the beach. The beach equipment included everything from chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, toys, bags, etc. The grands played in the beautiful backyard daily and the grill and outdoor shower were much used and appreciated. The kitchen is large and well equipped. We cooked almost every meal there and had everything we needed. The master suite is huge with an incredible shower. We had one day of continuous rain and there were books, games, activities and the covered area downstairs that kept everyone happy. We loved it and hope to be able to return someday. Highly recommend!

A great house in a great spot. All my communication with Bill before the trip was great. He made sure we had a pack and play available for my nephew. Lots of beach chairs, toys, etc available. Outdoor showers were so helpful. Loved the kitchen - lots of equipment available. We were very happy with the location. Guest house wasn’t quite as clean as it could be on arrival and only the main house had AC. Bedroom and bathroom doors have wide slats (and no locks) so all sound travels through the rooms which was tricky when there were several small kids going to bed before the adults. We did have several electrical outlets and light switches that didn’t work and the living room furniture really didn’t accommodate 8 people. All that said, the neighbor was very quiet, it was a quick walk to the beach and a short drive to many others, and we loved being in Hanalei in 15 minutes. It took a bit to get a hang of all of those 1 lane bridges but we would definitely stay here again.

From the moment we walked in to the house, I knew we were going to have a great vacation. Everyone was thrilled with how beautiful the house was, and how well laid out for a family vacation. A consensus was that the if anything, the listing undersold how great the place is. Since I was the one handling booking and communications I already knew the host was responsive and helpful and loved the house.
We made great use of the ample beach stuff available. Tons of towels, chairs, umbrellas, snorkel stuff (a real plus) and water shoes.
We had our 2 year old grandbaby with us. The beach toys, packnplay, high chair all were terrific to have there so we didn't have to lug anything. He loved sitting with me on the porch as the sun came up (an early riser). We watched all the birds inhabit the tree in front of the porch and the chickens running down the road. Then a walk to the beach. Short enough that I could carry him if he didn't want to walk (and he is big for his age).
Truly a great experience. We are already planning on coming back.

This is a great house located the best area of Kauai! There is an amazing covered area under the house with outdoor couches and chairs. The outdoor shower made cleaning off before going into the house easy and accessible. We even used this as our main shower many nights. There was a closet with beach chairs and snorkeling gear that made our beach days so much more fun. The house had a beautiful great room/kitchen that was nice for relaxing. They supplied beach towels and bath towels with a washer and dryer that made keeping things clean very easy. We were so grateful to have such a wonderful place to spend our week. Thank you!

Our family of six adults and one 2.5 yr old grandson were very comfortable in your Hawaiian home! Loved the open room and large kitchen. Great location. We enjoyed our morning walks to Tunnels Beach. The beach at Hanalei Bay was successful for our grandson and his surfer dad.
Thanks for a wonderful pre- Christmas holiday!!

Lovely home. We also rented the guest house which worked out well for us. Steps to a beautiful beach for walks and seeing sunrise and sunset. Surf was very high during most of our stay but we still found places to swim and surf nearby. We kayaked and hiked as well. Overall a beautiful place to vacation.

What a beautiful home! Banana beach is just across the street and what a scene at night with the sound of the waves and the sky painted with stars. Can’t beat having AC but also enjoyed opening the windows and hearing the waves at night and feeling the breeze. The outdoor shower is awesome and really convenient for washing out sand. We ate dinner on the lanai and just enjoyed the solitude. Hanalei and Wishing Well shave ice is just a 10 minute drive from the house. The best part for us was access to our favorite beach, Tunnels! You can drive there in 2 minutes. Or grab your towel, sunscreen, and a cooler and walk just 10 minutes down the road. Megan the property manager was responsive and even brought over a replacement coffee grinder, which was so kind and unexpected. Big thanks to Bill for sharing his home!

I debated writing this review so word doesn’t get out about how awesome it is. 😀 It’s steps to the beach, spacious, clean, quiet (except the local roosters), and relaxing. Only a few minutes walk to Tunnels beach for kid friendly snorkeling and only a 15-20min drive to Hanalei if you want some shaved ice. Outdoor shower was a hit with kids and necessary. We would 100% stay here again and are already planning our next trip!

Like the beach? Like A/C? Like to Grill? Look no further! Perhaps the best part of this place is location away from the chaos of downtown Hanalei. Small private beach but still walking distance to Tunnels. The grill is great. Used it every day grilling fresh fish and burgers. Amazing stay!

Relaxing Spacious North Shore Home steps from beach
Very comfortable home for a family stay (senior, 3 middle-aged, 1 older teen, 1 young adult). The bedroom with 2 twins is the smallest, fyi, and the primary bedroom is a very large suite. Great kitchen; it has spices, bring your own everything else (oil, condiments, etc.) House has great outdoor spaces with comfortable furniture under the house and on the balcony. Bill is super responsive. Sunset is spectacular on the point between the closest beach and Tunnels.

Beautiful spacious home a few steps from north shore beach - walking distance to tunnels beach
This is a beautiful, clean, spacious, and airy home just a few steps from the beach. It is on a small, laid-back street that feels uniquely Hawaiian. You can walk across the street to a beautiful beach where we saw sea turtles and monk seals. You can also walk to tunnels beach, which is a must for snorkeling and has gentle surf on most days - great if you have younger children. You are also close to beautiful gardens and caves and trails. You can walk to a delightful little coffee shop, which is just down the street. The house itself is open, and breezy, and super clean. We had two families staying together with 4 kids ages 4-8 and it worked perfectly. The house has a great layout and has everything you need. The owners are great and super helpful. I definitely recommend staying here!

Perfect location for families
We were a group of six, grandparents parents and two kids ages nine and 11. Everyone loved the property. We were just steps from a beach and could walk to other beaches. We needed to plan meals, as shopping required some travel, but accommodations were spectacular. Access to the local resort was also convenient for meals. The house was spotless and the kids loved just hanging out on the porch after swimming at the beach. We had easy access to Napali and enjoyed a day there as well as in nearby Hanalei. Do make dinner reservations well in advance, as we learned that playing it by ear was not an effective way at getting a table at local restaurants. Fortunately the local coastal restaurant takes walk ins. We also enjoyed the spa at the coastal resort. So there was some luxury nearby, but the house itself was plenty for us.

Family Vacation
The house was very comfortable for our family and friends. It was equipped with everything we needed for the beach. There is a beach access is right across the street that was good for swimming and adults, and one just 15 minutes walking that was great for our little kids. We loved exploring this area near to the end of the road.

Paradise in Paradise
A perfect home for a family vacation! The home is beautiful, comfortable and nestled in a lush Hawaiian neighborhood with lots of privacy and only steps to the sand; not to mention world class snorkeling.
The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed almost every dinner at home around the table with our loved ones.
And — you won’t want to miss bird watching from the lanai with your morning cup of Kona :)
We would highly recommend this home to anyone seeking a quiet, tropical beach vacation.
Mahalo to our wonderful hosts!🌺

We had a fantastic stay at Hale Pulelehu'a. The house was wonderful and spacious. It was very comfortable and everything was in good order and worked fine. We had myself, my wife, my daughter and her husband, and two young grand daughters. We really enjoyed going to the beach which was very private and only fifty steps to it. There were beach chairs, an outside shower, a nice BBQ, and the neighbors were quiet. We enjoyed the nice breeze and relaxing on the upstairs patio.
that was adjacent to the living room. The location was great and we had about a 10-15 minute drive to Hanalei which had some nice restaurants and the Big Save market which had a good selection of food and beverage items.
Bill Morgan, one of the owners, was very helpful with giving us information and gave us a contact for getting two rental cars which were almost impossible to get because of the shortage of cars caused by the Covid situation. Also, we needed a pack n play for the infant and the local property manager was able to get us one. All in all, it was a great Kauai experience and the place couldn't have been better.

We loved staying at the Haena house! The house has old-world charm, great amenities and is a hop, skip and jump to a beautiful beach for swims and sunset watching.

A magical island retreat
We loved this house so much! The path to the beautiful beach is directly in front of the house and you will have the beach almost to yourself. Great to be in Haena if you're looking for something a little different from Hanalei Bay. The house and grounds were lovely. Very comfortable beds and furniture. So great to have access to beach chairs and plenty of other beach equipment. Fantastic snorkeling nearby, great tide pools. We had a magical time and Bill was so helpful with important info we needed before arriving.
