About this house rental

This 2 bedroom cottage style unit is on the second floor and there is a 1 bedroom unit below this one that is also available.
The building was built right on the water's edge and has an amazing view of the main channel. This in town location is close to everything. That being said there is a lot to do without leaving the property.
You can rent a pontoon boat right from your dock. If don't want to captain a boat a
tour service will pick you up from the dock and bring you back. If you are considering coming after April 2025 a new restaurant will be open and is just a short walk away.
Since this is a duplex guests should plan for a quite stay. In the common areas there is a hot tub, and outdoor shower, a boat dock and a large fire pit.
We have use guidelines that allow all guests to make sure all guests get a private use of these amenities.
A note to guests we do have a small family of feral cats that live on the property.
This place has had a long history of pets just showing up. We have found the owners of some and found homes for others. ( We have 2 dogs and 1 Cat at our home that came from there, Th cats are fixed and a feral cat organization comes by and makes sure they are healthy. We feed them and built them a home. They are mostly shy of people but you will see them around.

Hidden gem, off the beaten path but accessible to all Charlotte has to offer. Great quiet spot on the lake. Perfect for someone looking for a pleasant getaway - comfortable and cozy - with enough creature comforts but not posh. Just what was needed for a quick weekend away to decompress. A dip in the hot tub, lake, fun outdoor shower, BBQ and plenty of cookware if you just want to stay in and enjoy the gorgeous view. The host was very kind and accommodating.

The Lakefront Cottage is a peaceful retreat located right on the lake. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch soaking up the chill vibe of the water. The cottage location is a great balance of being near outdoor opportunities as well as food and dining and access to the highway which allowed us to explore Charlotte and the lakes. We look forward to returning in the future when we need another relaxing vacation in the Charlotte area!

Wii was broken. Couldn't get connected to the wifi for some reason. Only one board available (Trivial Pursuit) but was missing the instructions. No tackle for the fishing equipment. So missed out on a lot of family stuff right there. I would had brought those things from home if I had known. Didn't get to try out the hot tub because of rain, but seemed clean and ready to go. Saw a few cockroaches on the property but never inside. Got to use the two available kayaks and life-vest with my daughter and had a great time out on the lake exploring the shoreline. Took a swim in the lake with her too. Great condition dock and rental pontoon boat. Amazing view and great screened-in back porch to watch the passing boaters and sunset. That was one of my favorite things about the place as an adult. About five or so friendly but shy cats live on the property and that was probably my daughter's favorite thing about the place lol. Complimentary snacks and water bottles were left for us which was nice. Would go here again if it was cheaper and those aforementioned problems were remedy. Note that people were staying in the floor below us but were never a problem (this is disclosed in the listing). Also note that 4 or so cars parked up the driveway and the people walked through the yard to access the rental poontoon boat one of the days we were staying there. We didn't mind, but just a warning for others who may want more privacy on their vacation.

We had a wonderful time at Rosella! The host was communicative and accommodating. The home was cozy and clean. The kitchen was stocked with the supplies we needed for making meals at home. Renting a boat directly from the dock was a seamless process. We were able to fully relax in the lake and hot tub. We definitely will be returning!

My husband and I have stayed here several times, most recently for my birthday. The apartment is kept immaculately clean, the beds are comfortable, and the view of the lake, just from sitting on the couch, is incredible. It’s a very private property with one neighbor. Mountain Island Lake has very clean and see-through water, we could see fish in the water from the dock, not to mention how warm the water is in the summer. We will definitely be returning.

I cannot begin to say how much I enjoyed this location! From coming in the door to the TV playing ocean sounds to the view of the lake from my patio! This rental is more than the photos show! So quaint, clean, comfortable and relaxing! I was info work so didn't get to use the extras...but did spend each night sitting on the dock! I will definitely be staying here on my next trip back to the corporate office!!! Thank you SOOO much!!

This is a great vacation rental. We were there on some hot days and did struggle to control the internal temperature, some time the splitter and other cooling fans were effective, but resulted in strong cold air being directly aimed at one or more of us. If this was reduced, then rooms became very warm, especially the rear bedroom overnight. THIS WAS NOT A DISASTER, it was just a minor inconvenience that detracted slightly from the otherwise excellent experience. This is an older property, but it’s immaculate inside and very comfortable & clean. I did make the mistake of booking the upper unit, which doesn’t have a dining table, when we had planned to cook dinner with friends. I can’t really blame the listing accuracy, although the text/images for upper & lower units could probably benefit from a little more clarity as to the differences. These comments are meant as constructive, as we thought it was a great place and worth the price paid.

The property was absolutely amazing, the house was very clean and cozy, and it is very convenient to Charlotte. Upstairs is 2 bedrooms with a bedroom with a beautiful view of the lake and the beds are super comfy. The view was absolutely breathtaking. This will definitely be my go to if I am planning a stay in the area! Very reasonable rates.

Rental was very clean, right on the water and peaceful. Great porch! Convenient to everything. Didn’t get to use the hot tub due to the weather. The outdoor shower was very nice! Communication was prompt. We would definitely rent again if we come back to the area. Thank you Bob!

This lakefront home was lovely. Not only was it well appointed, there was every reason to stay and enjoy the views. we stayed in and grilled dinner instead of going out because this view was spectacular and we wanted to absorb as much of it as we could!

We loved our stay! The view is beautiful and our downstairs neighbors were so much fun! When we walked in I thought I was in a magazine photo shoot. The location was close to the Lake Norman Highland Games which made it perfect.

The pictures do not do it justice! The views hit you in the face the second you walk into the apt😊 This was a mother daughter trip, with my mom and sister. Despite the freezing temps, we thoroughly enjoyed playing games, cozy inside while taking in the lake views ❤️ Bob was not only helpful in restaurant and trail suggestions, but he is super friendly! Perfect for my daughter and granddaughter to share time with mammaw. The location was so close to the aquarium and downtown Science Discovery. We enjoyed watching the rowing teams practice and all the other boats out on the lake. Everyone wants to come back again!

We spent Christmas with our grandson at the lake house was extremely comfortable for us. Enjoyed the lake view immensely. My grandson wants to come back in the summer sometime so he can utilize jumping off the dock. The host was very accommodating with suggestions in the area, as well as coming and unlocking us promptly when we locked ourselves out….we highly recommend to anyone and if in fact we ever come back to this side of the country would love to book again.

The place is exactly what is shown in pictures. Unbelievable! The view of the water is perfect especially at night. Hot tub is clean. The host Bob responds quickly and is polite. I would definitely come back again it’s worth the stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The view of the lake was wonderful and the place is quiet and well appointed. We enjoyed the jacuzzi. It is close to restaurants and grocery. I would definitely return if I visit Charlotte again.

We met the owners in passing who were absolutely amazing and friendly as can be. The place was gorgeous with a back porch that has amazing sunrises!!! Highly recommend setting an alarm and some coffee, definitely made me miss the coast living, haha. The fire pit area they have is awesome and huge. You can have the whole family or group sitting around it toasty as can be. The double door oven was also a nice touch! Me and my brother already agreed if we come back down here next year, we 110% are coming right back. The best word i can sum the stay we had here is simply lovely. Thank you guys SO MUCH for making our vacation memories that much more, well memorable!

We had a wonderful time. The view was fantastic and we saw all kinds of wild life including a River otter, deer, ducks, cats, and fish. It was so clean, quaint, and peaceful. Bob was very easy to work with and communication was great. Next time we need to be in the Charlotte area, we hope to stay here again.

We loved the house and the view of the lake. Only complaint, completely out of the home owners' control was the construction noise on the lot next door at 7 am on a Saturday morning. You would think they could wait until everyone has had coffee! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Be sure to bring your own body wash though, that was a first for us, so we had to run to the store. No biggie just be prepared. There's a Harris teeter, Starbucks and other restaurants very close by. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks so much!
