About this villa rental
The property was constructed as a modern oasis with an abundance of windows to foster in natural light. The construction uses a myriad of natural, stones, woods, and other native materials to meld the property into the Costa Rican landscape. The living and dining space are an open concept extending up to the 2 story roof line.The kitchen features all modern high end appliances and ample seating for 6 at the massive kitchen island. The kitchen opens up to a covered terrace with a hand carved table which can seat up to 15; making the spaces a perfect combination for entertaining and lounging. You will find 2 guest suites with queen size beds on the lower level, each with access to their own full bathes. Both of these guest suites have access to a shared outside terrace that leads to the property's private pool. Head upstairs and you will find a large 3rd guest bedroom with a queen and twin bed; perfect setup for a kids suite . Also located on the 2nd floor is the huge master suite, adorned with a king size bed and separate seating areas. Off the master you will find a private terrace to sip your coffee and listen to the howler monkeys in the morning. The master bathroom is truly a spa setting with double vanities and an expansive indoor / outdoor shower. We are sure you will appreciate the master suite as much as we do. Each of the bedrooms and also the main living areas (kitchen/dinning and living room) have their own air conditioning units to keep you cool in the Costa Rican heat. Located in the rear of the property is your own private swimming pool with a deck adorned with lounge chairs for sun bathing. There is even an outdoor shower to rinse off after coming back from the beach.

We just returned from the most incredible vacation at Villa Sadhana in Playa del Coco, and we can't stop raving about it! Our group consisted of six adults, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat.
Kattya, the host, deserves all the praise she gets. Her responsiveness and attention to detail were outstanding. The property itself is a hidden gem, a private oasis close to town and the beach. The house was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. One minor downside mentioned by a previous reviewer was the road noise, however, this was a small inconvenience.
Norma, the chef and house manager, was a true gem. Her delicious and authentic meals made our stay even more memorable. Whether we were exploring La Leona Waterfall, enjoying an adventure day at Guachipelin, or enjoying a 4-hour private sailboat cruise, we knew we had a clean, comfortable and beautiful home to return to.
The pool area was our oasis, and the house had ample room for our group to spread out and find privacy. The furnishings were comfortable and created room for the entire group to relax and enjoy a movie together.
We want to express our gratitude to Kattya and Norma for making this vacation truly special. From the delicious restaurant recommendations to the helpful suggestions for activities, Kattya went above and beyond. Norma's cooking was a highlight, and we're already missing it!

Fantastic property! We were a group of 3 couples that spent a week in Coco. Kattya was so responsive and made our trip flawless! She coordinated transfers to and from the airport and all our excursions! Our chef, Norma, was fabulous! Nutritious meals with the freshest of ingredients and so tasty! She is a jewel! We explored La Leona Waterfall and the rain forest, ATV excursions to Tamarindo, and a 6 hour catamaran cruise. Don't miss Father Roosters and CoCoNuts! The house was its own oasis, close to everything. We did secure the golf cart. The home was wonderful and the AC worked great. The pool was our own party on the patio area. We can't wait to come back. Thanks Kattya! Memories were made. Pura Vida!

Kattya was incredibly helpful from the start until the end. We loved the house and furnishings - very well done. Norma was wonderful, and her food was delicious! We had 14 adults, and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out, find privacy, and gather together too. The only minor downside was the road noise if sitting on the front side of the house. But nowadays, this is hard to avoid! Great proximity to town and the beach on golf carts that Kattya arranged for us. We would definitely return, and we all miss Norma's cooking! :-)

I knew from the reviews that people were always pleased with Villa Sadhana but I was still surprised when we arrived to see it was EXACTLY as described. The home is beautiful and the landscaping and pool give a feeling of a tropical oasis. The home was spotless and very secure. It had any amenities we could have needed. The absolute best part about renting this amazing home is the option to have Norma shop and cook meals for you. She was the absolute highlight of my trip. She was so kind, flexible and her meals were delicious. Don't think twice, it was so nice to wake up to breakfast, go about our excursions and return home for a delicious dinner. Kattya was on call and very responsive from the time I booked u til the second we left. She booked all of our excursions and we enjoyed each one. There is nothing that isn't taken care of. Our family thoroughly enjoyed every minute in Coco, thanks to Kattya and her amazing place! From the moment I contacted her, she went above and beyond to answer any questions and give the best suggestions for restaurants and things to do. We made the most of our time by visiting the beautiful beaches (our favorite was a local spot at Penca Beach), doing a morning sailboat excursion, visiting waterfalls and hot springs, and going to another local spot called Los Coyotes with gorgeous tourquoise creeks and caves. Norma cooked us an amazing breakfast and is available for any and all meals - she truly is the sweetest! Dinner at The Lookout was a fabulous ending overlooking the coast! Thanks so much, Kattya and Norma, for a wonderful vacation full of great memories!!

We loved our time at Villa Sadhana. Kattya was so helpful in prepping us for the trip, scheduling all of our activities, and being readily available any time we needed anything. The house is beautiful and was so comfortable for our family of five. We loved all of the activities and how much we got to see if Costa Rica from just a short ride from the house. Also having Norma cook us breakfasts and dinners was great, the empanadas were excellent! We loved living pura vida and can’t wait to go back!

The best place in Playa del Coco
After tons of research, We settled on staying here, at Kattya’s place and wow did it exceed our expectations. The house and property itself is beautiful and it has an incredible location.
Kattya goes above and beyond to help with anything you may need on your trip. She answered all my questions and helped plan our excursions. I could not have planned this trip without her.
Our driver Diego was wonderful and helped up get wherever we needed to go. He also would tell us more about Costa Rica as we were driving to our destination.
Norma truly made it an unforgettable trip. Her food was incredible and she even taught us how to make it so we could repeat her recipes when we returned home. She is so kind and caring, our one year old adored her.
I would 100 percent recommend this house to anyone.

Action and relaxation
What a wonderful trip! Our family had the perfect combination of action and relaxation! Kattya was so helpful with any questions we had and secured all our amazing and fun excursions! We also had wonderful relaxation hanging out at the house enjoying the pool and sitting porches. Also- the whole family wanted to use the master indoor/outdoor shower! Luxury! I absolutely cannot say enough about Norma! Her cooking is superb and she has a caring and sweet spirit! You will NOT regret using her services! Our family has already recommended this house and trip to so many people! We would return again in a heartbeat!

Great vacation property in CR
Just spent a wonderful week in a fabulous property in Playa del Coco. We had such a fun time. The house is spacious, very clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect for our crew. The owner Kattya was so accommodating. Our plans changed a few times due to a sick little one but she graciously adjusted arrangements as needed. A golf cart was available that made jaunts to the grocery store & town a breeze. Also Norma is a wonderful cook and I encourage visitors to take advantage of her great cooking. This an excellent property that I’m sure we’ll visit again.

Nice property
The home was as described property owner is very responsive. Home stayed at a moderate temp it was extremely warm in Costa Rica so it was nice to go inside and cool off. There are a lot of bugs but expected for the country so be sure to keep the doors closed to avoid this. Drivers found the location quick and easy. Market is about a ten minute walk. All the restaurants suggested by the owner where nice. Taxis are really cheap in my opinion. My little one got sick I caught a taxi into town for $5 Roundtrip. The people are extremely nice. Norma is a sweet lady and makes the absolute best pancakes. We booked her for breakfast daily and she was on time and the food was really good. She offered to clean which was a nice offer we only asked to have the restrooms cleaned. All and all If I where to come back I would book the home again.

Just back from a fantastic stay in CR with 3 teens and this was the perfect house! The house itself is great, with everything you could need -- clean all over, plenty of space, modern appliances, the AC cools down fast, comfortable beds, and a great pool area out back! The owner is the best -- she works with you both before and during your trip to make sure you have everything you need, including enough info to figure out what you want to do while there or even to help you get it booked. And be sure to treat yourself by having Norma come and cook for you while there -- we literally had her come over for multiple meals almost every day of our stay and they were all fantastic! By the time we left we were as sad to leave her behind as the house! We've stayed at lots of VRBOs but this is definitely we'll look forward to returning to!

Our 4 kids and my husband and I stayed for 4 nights. The house and grounds are so beautiful. Convenient golf cart ride to the grocery store, just 3/4 of a mile away. Norma made most of our meals and we all wish we could take her back home with us. She was amazing and the food was so good!
Big iguanas watched us from the side of the pool as we swam and lounged. They were begging! They have poor aim if you try to feed them by hand and their teeth are sharp!
The outdoor shower in the master is so nice. 1 mile to the ocean. I highly recommend!

Best vacation ever
From the time I inquired about the property until my last day, the owner was amazing. Responds quickly and so helpful with all my questions ( and I had many). The home is an oasis as mentioned. So spacious, so beautiful and peaceful. The house manager Norma who made many of our meals was outstanding. So sweet and kind. Her food was delicious every time. We never had a meal in mind, we just say “ surprise us” and she always would lay out the most delicious meal that was so thought out.
The owner scheduled our excursion with drivers that were all a delight. Offering their expertise of the beautiful location/area we were staying. I can go on and on. It was just an overall amazing vacation with myself and 4 of my best friends. A time we will never forget and where we made the best memories.

So glad we found this place. Kattya was extremely helpful with planning excursions and things to do, communicated daily with her during our stay. Norma made amazing breakfast every morning, had awesome smoothies and was available as we needed her. Diego picked us up, drove us places, was our personal tour guide wherever we went. We are so so thankful to have found this place, they are very family friendly. The golf cart was an advantage so we could drive down to the beach or restaurants/shops. The kids loved playing in the pool at night with the lights on and were entertained by the iguanas and geckos located on the property. Overall, we definitely want to come back again and would recommend this place to anybody looking to make a trip to Costa Rica.

This was the best experience overall! The house is beautiful and has so many details in its design and appointments (books, games, pool, bikes). Norma made delicious food and was always available to help. Kattya truly was the most resourceful and helpful host I’ve ever encountered. July 2021 Rental
I was amazed at how quickly the property owner responded before and during our stay. Norma had our lunch hot and ready when we arrived and had breakfast ready when we started our day.
Property is gated giving privacy and security. We felt comfortable with the children walking around freely because of this. Especially with the house being off of a main road. I highly suggest renting a golf cart, if walking, the beach, shops and grocery store are a little over a mile off a busy road with no sidewalks.
Owner worked with us to schedule excursions, transportation, cook and anything else we needed. I highly recommend this rental.

WOW!!!!
What a wonderful experience we had on our family getaway to Costa Rica! This house with the casita was already incredible and perfect for our family of six but the team of Kattya, Mauricio, and Norma take it next level!
Mauricio was not available the first two days and Kattya went above and beyond by picking us up at the airport herself and escorting us to our excursion the following day. Throughout the week she was very easy to communicate with and offered wonderful suggestions for places to go.
Having Norma prepare our lunch of fajitas, ceviche, and pineapple smoothies upon our arrival was perfect. (Trust me folks....get the pineapple smoothies, you won’t regret it!) Norma prepared many meals throughout the week and all were fantastic. If I could have packed her in my suitcase and taken her home with me I would have!
Mauricio obviously takes pride in taking very good care of his clients as well! He was ready and willing to take us anywhere we wanted to go and was fantastic to talk with as well. He took us to a local lunch spot on the way to a river boat tour that had the most amazing chicken EVER! We loved the authenticity of the restaurant and experience.
I honestly don’t think we could have picked a better home to stay in and we will be back to stay again in the future!

5 STAR all the way!
First, let me start off by saying what everyone wants to know. Would I rebook? ABSOLUTELY!
Kattya and her dream team made our vacation super duper easy. She recommended some GREAT tours (sunset sailboat cruise and Buena Vista Adventure park), helped us arrange everything, gave valuable information on COVID entry requirements and was VERY responsive when I had any questions. AND I HAD LOTS - HA!
Norma made the most wonderful meals and was so gracious and kind to my family and I during our stay. She made our stay feel very "home-y" and we were all sad to tell her goodbye.
Mauricio and his brother Jesus drove us wherever we needed to go and provided cool information along the way. Airport pickup/dropoff were a breeze and the rides to venues were so much fun with Jesus playing "DJ". They were both very genuine and so easy.
Now about the house - it was uber clean, just as pictured (maybe better) and the location was pretty fantastic. The super market was just a quick golf cart ride away and the beach just another half mile beyond that. We didn't walk to the beach but we could have easily went on bikes as well. The road is fairly busy but folks drove fairly slow and we felt safe in the golf cart.
The pool was so nice for afternoons relaxing - added bonus. The grounds were very well maintained and felt park-like.
Overall, just a fabulous vacation and we'd certainly book with Kattya again. BIG thanks to her and her team for making us feel so special - we'll never forget it!

Absolutely Incredible’
Where do I begin because our entire week was FABULOUS!! This was my family’s first trip to Costa Rica and we booked the house just from the pictures and reviews. As with any travel outside of the country right now, we were quite nervous to book anything, but Kattya made it so easy and eased all of my fears. She basically walked me through all of the information we would need for covid to get there and to return back to the US. Believe me, I asked ALL of the questions. She was patient and answered all of them. She also was extremely helpful in booking our adventures each day. She arranged for our airport transportation, rental car to be at the house waiting for us, and our lunch the day we arrived at the house. She is absolutely incredible to work with and was only a text away even while we were at the house.
Mauricio and Norma were icing on the cake! Mauricio was always there to help with our daily adventures and is so nice! He met us at our excursions, or took us there himself. Then there is Norma. Our family fell in love with her. Norma made the most amazing meals for us all week. She even made dinner with the fresh tuna we caught one day. Talk about a luxury! There is no way any restaurant in town would have been as amazing as Norma’s cooking. My 4 kids are still raving about the meals and wondering if she would like to move back to Arkansas with us. She is so kind, and so sweet, and hands down the best cook on the island.
The house itself was absolutely beautiful and was just how the pictures looked. The pool was incredible and it was so nice to have after a busy day exploring Costa Rica.
We have already looked at dates to return next summer - or before! An absolute must stay!

Birthday trip
Had an amazing time staying at this Villa. Kattya was so excellent and accommodating when we had to adjust our trip dates. Whenever I reached out to her she responded quickly. Norma was so nice and I loved my birthday welcome upon arrival. A huge thank you to Maurico! He arranged the perfect day of adventure for me and my friends and even assisted us with getting our covid test done which was so helpful. The Villa looks even better in person, secluded and spacious. You hear a lot of animal noises at night but we got used to it. We enjoyed the small touches like the board games and cards. I would definitely recommend this Villa and its staff. Thank you guys !

Stunning
Our time at Villa Sadhana was amazing! Leading up to our trip Kattya was very helpful with travel tips and was very responsive to all our inquiries. Once we got there Mauricio met us at the airport. He was very friendly and very helpful. His local knowledge was outstanding and he helped us arrange all our adventures once we arrived. He was always only a phone call away eager to help with anything we needed. Norma prepared meals for us and cleaned daily. Her food was absolutely delicious! She was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed around the house. Speaking of which the house was beautiful! When not out on an adventure Mauricio had arranged for us, we spent our time at the house around the pool or lounging on the porches outside. It was fun watching the iguanas, geckos, and all kinds of birds. Everything was beautifully manicured and every detail attended to. The house had everything we needed and Kattya, Mauricio, and Norma saw to it we had food, drinks, and supplies stocked up before we arrived. Our experience was top notch and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay in Costa Rica!
The property is just as described in other reviews, their pictures, and in the description. Kattya was very responsive whenever we had a question and helped coordinate timing of our check-in. The house was wonderful and clean. Plenty of room to stretch out and an easy location for us to come and go to the various beaches nearby (we had a rental car). We loved having laundry available to wash up some of our clothes from our earlier adventures in the week, and plenty of towels for the bathrooms, beaches, and pool. The pool was a nice option for the afternoon when we wanted to come back and just relax. One of the truly outstanding highlights was Norma! She's available to cook meals for a very reasonable fee, and the food was wonderful! She made a number of delicious meals for our family (breakfasts, lunches, dinners) for a few of the days. It was a great way to maximize our time in Costa Rica. My wife is able to speak a little bit of Spanish, and we had a nice time conversing with Norma as well. The property was a beautiful spot, just off the road, but felt very private & secure. A few howler monkeys visited us one day to eat mangos off the tree, and the kids liked to find the various lizards hanging out. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!

Fantastic!
We were a group of 10, 8 of us stayed in the big house and 2 in one of the casitas. It was perfect, super clean, with everything you might think you will want to use but can't pack in your suitcase, the pool, monkeys and lizards a big hit with kids and adults alike, close to grocery stores, and far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Coco; overall it is a beautiful property. Communication with Kattya was excellent since day one and she was always available to answer all of my questions (which were many since it was our first time in Costa Rica). Norma was very friendly and responsive when we had trouble with one of the toilets. We enjoyed the house so much and it was so comfortable, that each night we cooked and stayed in. The only thing I would add would be some closet space in the bedrooms. Also, we all talked about what a wonderful photographer took the house pictures, not that it was a bad thing because the house is extremely comfortable; but in the pictures even though the house is depicted exactly how it is, it seems a bit larger in the pics than in real life. We loved our stay here, and we hope to come back sometime in the near future. Thank you Kattya for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!!

We had a great time in this house. There were a couple hiccups (caused by previous renters) that the owner smoothed out. Norma, who maintains the property was also great. Two Families - Two weeks
The property was beautiful and Mauricio and Norma were a blessing. We were able to plan day trips with Mauricio, as well as quick trips to town or surrounding areas. Norma took care of cleaning and dinners. We wanted to take her home with us.
We used google translate for communicating with Norma - the villas Instagram site had pictures of various meals she makes. It was all so good!
The town itself was within 1 mile. The road was busy but walkable. A local, as well as “American” style grocery store were .86 miles from house. The beach is about 1.2 miles.
We loved our time in CR due to this VRBO. The whole experience was easy and communication great.

Amazing house and delightful owner
We recently stayed at Kattya's place in early July. Her communication throughtout the process from texts, emails, and eventually phone calls, was beyond anything we had ever seen. Our family was between 10yrs to 80 yrs, and having the 2 Queen bedrooms and 2 baths on the main level were vital to our visit. It was awesome having both of these queen rooms open to the pool deck, which made it easy to go in/out. The A/C throughout the house was powerful and did a great job. The house is exactly like it appears. The driver Mauricio and cook Norma were so kind, and made our trip the best. We ended up having Norma cook for us every day, breakfast and dinner. We downloaded a free translation app from Google, and everyone communicated just fine. We also used WhatsApp to communicate with the team. Some of our food favorites: banana pancakes, fruit platters, omelettes, pico de gallo, guacamole, ceviche, steak and chicken on the barbecue, and grilled veggies. For lunch, we made our own sandwiches. and had leftovers from the night before. The pool was delightful, about 4.75 feet depth throughout, and a nice shelf to sit on in the pool. AMAZING!!!!
What can be said about this property that hasn't already been said. This house was amazing. It all started with communication with Kattya through email and through text. She was very quick to respond to any and all questions. Check in was super easy and all details were given to us by Norma who was there when we arrived. Speaking of Norma, you MUST book her for your meals as they were all INCREDIBLE!! We had her cook all of our dinners and they were ready at the exact time as requested. Portions were good and food was delicious. Another great suggestion was to book any and all excursions through Mauricio. We are so glad we did as he even suggested places that we didn't even think about. From waterfalls to sunset cruises, fishing, atv's, ziplining, and even hot springs and a mud bath. He was spot on with the places that we went and the times that we should do them to avoid the crowds of people. He drove us and even accompanied us to some of the excursions. This helped immensely and avoided some possible confusion. At the end of the day after the excursions it was so nice to come back to this wonderful and clean house to relax and unwind in the pool. The location of the house is conveniently located from the town and beach. A few minutes by car to the supermarket and restaurants. It is only about 30 minutes from the airport.This house along with Norma, Mauricio, and Kattya made this an absolutely amazing vacation. We are already talking about when we'd like to come back.

This huge house and pool were ideal for our vacation involving adults, a senior, a 2-year-old, and 2 teenagers! It was so well maintained and comfortable. We had a couple of communication opportunities with Kattya. Wow, she was so helpful and gave us lots of ideas of how to entertain our teens. Great stay!!!!

Our best vacation ever!
My kids (21, 26) and my daughter's boyfriend traveled to Costa Rica to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were greeted at the airport by Maurice, someone we now call our friend. At the house Norma warmly greeted us. To my surprise, Kattya had a "Happy Birthday" sign, balloons and a gift waiting on the counter. What a warm welcome! The property was amazing - spacious, clean, well-kept, comfortable - everything we imagined and so much more. Maurice was an amazing resource for us. He suggested activities and was responsive to our every need. He even took us to Nicaragua for the day, something we would not have done without him. My kids worked with Kattya and Maurice to surprise me on my birthday! As we sat at the beautiful outdoor table eating another wonderful meal prepared by Norma, the security gate opened and in came a band of six playing happy birthday. Behind them was Maurice, his wife and daughter carrying flowers the kids had ordered. WOW! They played for half an hour and it was quite the surprise. It was a trip of a lifetime with my kids and by far, the best birthday ever. Kattya, Norma and Maurice made this extra special. For anyone considering Villa Sadhana, go for it! It is a true gem and outstanding property. And please have Norma cook for you - she's the best! Maurice will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and kept as busy as you'd like to be. Rest assured that Kattya will do everything to make your stay perfect. She was in touch while we were there checking in and ensuring all was well. I woudn't change one minute of our vacation - it was extraordinary. I am so grateful for Kattya and her partners!

Great House / Great Host! Wonderful Family Vacation Spot!
Our stay at Villa Sadhana was absolutely perfect!
We have been to Costa Rica several times before; we love the country for all of its natural beauty, and all the incredible activities. We have a young family and Costa Rica is a perfect place to help instill the appreciation for nature and an active lifestyle;
Traveling with young kids can be an adventure of its own; so finding a place that would be close to town and close to everything was a must! We wanted to make sure that trips to the grocery store, restaurants, or beach were going to be easy and close by (less than 5min). After reviewing lots of options online, I can say that finding a great home with proximity to all those items can be tough. Many of the comparable options were beautiful homes but they tended to be perched on mountains so getting to town seemed to require much more planning. Thankfully, Villa Sadhana’s pictures and descriptions online where confirmed and even surpassed our expectations once we stayed there. The house and the landscaping are more beautiful in person than in the photos, you can tell it’s well maintained. A trip to a local bar or the grocery store is literally just down the street.
The host, Kattya, was incredibly responsive, both before and during our stay. Whatever we needed, she was just a text message or call away. She provided us a wealth of information prior to our trip so we were able to plan all of our activities and excursions in advance. Additionally, she arranged for Norma, their housekeeper and cook, to prepare us most of our meals during our stay. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh and we literally picked some options from a pre-prepared menu Norma had and she took care of everything including buying the groceries. Having Norma take care of all the cooking and cleaning, just added an extra level of relaxation to our trip. And she was super sweet with our children. She also arranged having a golf cart at the house the entire time for us to move around town easier with family.
For our kids, I have to say that this place is the absolutely best! We loved exploring the yard finding iguanas, watching the monkeys come visit on the property next to the house, identifying all kinds of beautiful birds, and showing our kids the trees where fruits like papayas and mangos actually come from. Of course, the trampoline and the pool were a big hit as well. The pool has some cool lighting at night which makes it pretty dreamy to sit around and enjoy
