We really enjoyed our stay here. Before our trip I needed to get in contact with the owners and every time they responded quickly, kindly and answered all my questions. The kids loved playing in the small creek and the outdoor kitchen came equipped with all the basic needs. Other than the squeaky air mattresses, we didn’t have any problems.

The camp was beautiful but if i had none it that the list was not going to come as described i could have brought everything we needed. For us it was not glamping. It was rough camping. The owner was nice and helpful and understanding but there waa not a whole lot that could be doen with him put of state on a holiday weekend.

The scenic view is very nice, however I do wish there was more transparency with the level of terrain to negotiate by vehicle. In a mini van this was quite dangerous and a steep hill almost proved to be a disaster. Would not advise in coldest weather, with limited heating potential of tent. We were prepared with space heater and our extension cord, yet no electricity to outlet. We were honestly afraid of our kids getting carbon monoxide poisoning in order to stay warm, even with being prepared with sleeping bags and blankets. We were short two pillows with a family of 6, and used their kerosene soaked pillows with little options, creating a rash for my son the next day. I had wiped them down, but it was too permeated through and he did not realize the extent of the smell. The tent itself is nice, but not for freezing conditions. The outhouse was out of order and this is more dangerous through the night to navigate the hill in order to reach porta John with limited lighting. Overall it was pleasant with camp fire, freezing in tent with fear of not being warm/ or poisoning with gas heater and no ventilation, and poor toileting options with bathroom out of order. Did not even try to navigate shower. Limited communication regarding electricity being absent for dwellers. I am a host at another short term housing host, and overall disappointed in what was offered for the price, and a stay at campground would have been more economical and safe. Beautiful property, but not glamping.

It was cancelled and I was refunded because not as listed. Good for camping, not a glamp site.

The place was dirty when we anrrived so we had to clean it and the solar panel light in the tent did not work as well as the bigger karosene heater so we were very cold with just the little propane heater in there. There was no batteries that worked so we had to go buy batteries and flashlights. The oven did not work or the grill so I had to call the owner multiple times but thankfully The owner was VERY KIND though and I much appreciate that about this whole situation.

Oh my goodness! This place is the creme de la creme if you want to feel like you're in your own world but not lost from civilization.
We go somewhere every year for my husband's birthday and this is the first time he's said "we're coming back" (of course as long as Beth and Bob will have us!)
The listing is spot on. The tent is up at the top of the area so those sleeping aren't disrupted by those ha hanging out in the pavilion. The fire pit and bathroom is close to the pavilion so everything is very conveniently laid out.
The tent is large, but not really the best place to congregate. The air mattresses were a little loud when rolling over, but nothing that the crickets and creek don't drown out.
The pavilion is large, large enought that my exploring 8 month old never got bored. The table provided is long enough for all 8 of us to fit with room to spare. There are chairs galore so you do not need to bring any. Gas grill and plenty of counter space for prepping food. We had brought our own cooking utensils bc I didn't read fully, but we did find the ones provided and it was plenty. There is no electricity, but the pavilion is solar powered so light enough for you to see what youre doing but not bright enough that it's overwhelming and blocks the moonlight when it's out.
The drive down is as described...steep but manageable. All 3 of our non-4x4 cars made, it but me as an inexperienced mountain road driver was very glad my husband was confident.
Truly a wonderful place.

This was my second time staying here and it was just a great as my first time. Got to catch up with an old friend I hadn't seen in years. Property was very clean and the hosts really are the best.

We enjoyed our off the grid stay! Although, it was also a fun experience to explore nearby Blowing Rock and Boone and the produce stands. We followed all of our hosts recommendations about Blowing Rock activities and dining and I'm so glad we did! The communication with the hosts was excellent and timely. We will recommend this glamping site to our friends.

This was our second time back! We love the property and being nestled in the country side of the mountains. We had an amazing time again and had everything we needed to be off the grid and enjoy mother nature!

This property was awesome! Good mix of camping and comfort. The hosts definitely put a lot of thought in the details. Loved the pavilion and fire area! My friends and I had an amazing time!

This place is a treasure and a great way to camp with the whole family. My wife is not much for sleeping outside but this was a perfect in-between. The kids could not get enough of playing in the creek and exploring the woods. My nine year old said it was one of the greatest adventures of his life ;-). We can't wait to return.

The campsite was absolutely beautiful and had all the necessary items to ensure a comfortable stay, even though the night we chose for our stay dropped below freezing (The propane heater in the tent was an absolute lifesaver!). We definitely plan to make a return visit, hopefully in warmer weather ;)

I took my mother and 2 teenage daughters with me for a much needed getaway here. It was wonderful and exactly what we were looking for and wanted. We cooked over the fire our entire stay even though there were propane cooking appliances available. It was very beautiful, quiet, and unplugged (we left all electronics behind) from the rest of the world! We had everything we needed and never had to leave the vicinity of the private world we had there! We were even able to let our dogs off leash to wander with the kids and everyone just seemed happier being there. This is a hidden gem and we will be back! My teenagers didn't even want to leave even though they didn't have phones. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful "glamping" spot!

Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful site with the trees, waterfall and mountains. The site was an amazing mix of rustic and amenities! There was electricity, running water and a full size stove in the pavillion. The tent was basic but very comfortable. The hosts had graciously left a wagon for us to get our stuff from the parking area to the tent and pavillion. When we thought we couldn't get to the site due to a fallen tree they were very responsive and came right away. Already had someone ask for the details so they can rent when they saw our pictures.

My family and I stayed for 2 nights at this campsite. What a beautiful place, you truly feel like you're in the middle of nowhere even though you're close to town. There's great hiking around the property. The Creek was super fun for the kids to play in it also makes a beautiful sound backdrop for the site. The pavilion was awesome having the ability to cook and everything you need is there. Had great fires at the firepit area. The porta potty was clean as far as porta potties go. The road in and out was pretty sketchy for us in our loaded minivan ..but we made it without too many issues, just a little white knuckle slip and slide on the last hill up to the road! The tent set up was great having beds with air mattresses for everyone. Mattresses were definitely noisy if you rolled around but thats to be expected and it was nice to have the set up already done for you. My only feedback on the tent was that it was pretty musty inside of there and for a family with mold allergies/asthma it wasn't ideal. I have no idea if there's a way to address that or if it was just a function of the recent rain and dampness. Overall, this is a fantastic property and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a semi "off grid" experience without all the work. Thanks for sharing your beautiful site with us, we had a great weekend!

My family and I recently stayed here over a holiday weekend. We had a fantastic time! The space is large and very secluded. The bunks were surprisingly comfortable, although the air mattresses were a bit noisy. The port-o-John was pretty clean and a nice alternative to the old toilet. Our only complaints: the electric in the kitchen area didn’t work for our small appliances, like a toaster, and the warm water for the shower never worked…we made do. Four wheel drive is highly recommended, as the gravel road is rough for regular cars/trucks, BUT our truck did make it! We will definitely try this spot again in the future.

Enjoyed our time, very relaxing setting.

We enjoyed our stay and will keep this property in mind for future fun! We "glamped" with kiddos, ages 7 and 10, who loved exploring the woods and stream. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking other than making coffee, but upon staying again, we'd definitely make use of the gas stove, oven, and grill. The drive down is tricky and were thankful we passed by the owners on the way down to trust we were indeed going the right way. Once we made the drive the first time, it was no big deal. Great place to camp with kids! Our evening was chilly, but we were prepared and comfortable for 30s at night in April.

We were an adult group of 4, spending just one night at end of November. I am not a big camping fan but stepped out of my comfort and roughed it for a night. Great communication back and forth with owners Bob and Beth with some Q’s I had prior to arrival. It’s important to follow directions, definitely off the grid but that’s what we wanted. The tent was actually super clean and we could tell it had just been freshly cleaned. There was a porta potty available which was also pretty well maintained. It did get cold at night and we were glad we took our sub zero sleeping bags and extra blankets we def needed them. We took our own pillows and lanterns although these items were provided. We had a wonderful evening just making s’mores on campfire and enjoying the night sky. We look forward to returning to the glampsite.

This was our family’s first glamping trip. We have six kids. The tent was the perfect size. The beds were clean and comfortable. Everything was well taken care of. I loved the separate areas like the pavilion for eating, cooking and on another level a fire pit for s’mores and socializing. It is a large area. My kids loved the stream and exploring area. It was very private so they could wander a bit without any worry. The kitchen was wonderful. They have pots and pans to use. And we used the gas range every day. The oven does not work... just FYI. A 4x4 would be best for the drive up the mountain. We gave a Ford Transit van and we definitely struggled to get back up. But we did do it four times. Such a great place! You will love it.

My son and I booked to have a quick getaway. The pictures online were accurate. The listing details were not, however. The tent was covered in mildew and smelled to the point we had to sleep in our car, the composting toilet was out of order, so we had to use a port a john, and the bridge was full of holes and covered in leaves, so we had to be SUPER careful of where we stepped. I reached out to the owner and sent a message about my concerns, but have not heard back. I was super disappointed because the area would have been so nice had it been well maintained.

We really enjoyed our time away from the world.
