We stayed 4 days at this property with such wonderful down to earth folks. The home was nice and clean. The view of the pasture is amazing. Sunrises are gorgeous! We fished numerous times and caught blue gill mainly and a bass right on the property pond. It was just a great time to slow down in this ole world and just relax and unplug. The horses are beautiful and friendly. It was a great experience and we are so thankful and blessed these sweet folks took us in and opened up their "slice of heaven on earth" to our family. Thank you Susan & Tim for sharing that with our family. We sure appreciate it. May the good Lord bless you and shine his face upon you.

Our second time to rent, close enough to town(Tyler, lindale) for a quick run but country enough for privacy, we love the place

Great Getaway
We went to Tyler for a quick getaway and to do some hiking in the area parks. The houtse was very clean and a perfect loction. It was nice to wake up in the morning and see cows and horses in the pastures. Know that there is no Wifi. I think we missed that in the write up but we were able to figure out our agenda using our cell phones. All in all it was a great stay

Peaceful getaway
Had a wonderful restful time at Susan and Tim's "Slice of Heaven on Earth!" The property was clean, spacious, and easily accommodated the family. The kitchen was well appointed allowing us to cook family meals. We all enjoyed our porch time whether it was with a cup of coffee or with a book in hand or just gazing at the spectacular sunrise. The fishing was great and we enjoyed feeding the horses. Talking to Susan and Tim about the history of the property was a treat! Thanks for sharing your beautiful place!

Tranquil stay in the country
We truly enjoyed staying out in the countryside of Tyler Texas. Everything about the property was clean and well kept. We enjoyed walking the property and feeding the horses, and viewing the other animals. Our family was close enough to Tyler and other areas to take advantage of everything, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace of the countryside. Susan and Tim are good hosts and good people. Having the Declaration of Independence above the fireplace, as well as the Bible speaks volumes, as too many Americans have forgotten who it is that truly grants us our liberties and our rights. Thank you for your hospitality. We hope to see you again in the future.

Just what we were looking for
We decided to rent a house North of us to take advantage of a rare Texas snowstorm. Tim and Susan were excellent hosts. We arrived after dark on a cold evening and Susan already had the house nice and warm. We loved sitting by the fireplace after venturing out to play in the snow. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Thanks Tim and Susan!

Perfect country setting
We loved staying at this property. It is put in the country enough but also not far from grocery, restaurants, and things to do. We truly felt like this was a home away from home. We also enjoyed the animals on the property. Susan was very kind and accommodating. It was nicely equipped and comfortable. We look forward to staying again.

Lots of room and the hosts are extremely nice. Very quiet and tranquil place. One slight drawback that it’s next to tollway 49 but I didn’t hear the highway at all when I was inside . I would recommend staying there

The good: We gathered here for Thanksgiving. The large space was great for our needs. Our kids could run around without any worries. The horses are SO sweet and my daughter loved them. Owners are very friendly. The not so good: Bedrooms are connected, but lots of doors to outside. We just locked the door in between and the other family walked around. Our first 2 nights there was a strong sewer smell, only at night/early morning then it went away. I’m guessing from the septic, but could be something else. It didn’t happen the 3rd night so not sure if they got it fixed or what. They only provide 2 trash bags, which for 8 people on thanksgiving wasn't near enough - I find this a little silly just because it can make it harder for guests to clean up. We got our own and finished the job - just make sure you bring extras with you. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the beautiful view and would consider staying here again.

We visit Tyler every October for the children's remembrance ceremony at the children's park of Tyler. This is the only place we could imagine staying! Tim and Susan are like family to us ! East Texas Magic!
Though close to the busy highway, the peace and quiet drowned out the traffic noise. Loved watching the horses. Got to see cowboys working the cattle. The fire pit is perfect. Big, roomy And very comfortable cabin. The open meadow view is incredible!
Thank you for allowing us to bring our puppies! They had a blast!

Great place
We really enjoyed our stay. One recommendation is to upgrade the grill. It was small for the size of group we had and needed cleaned to provide better gas flow. The place was perfect for our group. We really enjoyed being outside

Country Beauty!!
This place was perfect for our getaway! My husband and I are animal lovers. We loved being able to look out the window and see the cattle and horses. We had the chance to pet horses and sweet dogs! The house is so cute and comfy! It is wonderfully clean. The pictures don’t do it justice. We would love to come back with our kids.

Great place to stay to visit family
We have family in Tyler Texas and this was an excellent place to stay. So clean, updated and decorated. Plus the pleasure of country life watching the horses and cows. Such a treat for us since we are from a city - St. Louis. It was a great place to gather with my family and visit. We had a great time. Susan was so pleasant and enjoyed talking with her. We want to do it again next year.

Perfect Holiday Weekend
We enjoyed our stay in this amazing home. We were there for Thanksgiving and a mini-family reunion. It was nice to have extra beds and a spacious living room. The property was a wonderful alternative to staying in a hotel. We will stay here the next time we are visiting the area. Thank you for a perfect holiday weekend!
