About this house rental
Mt Baker Getaways offers
This cottage is tucked away in the forest right next to the large lodge, only 3 minute walk to town. You can catch the Baker Bus up to the mountain or drive 25 minutes to the mountain top. This cottage is cozy! Amazing for two guests a little tight for four. Work from the forest as we just upgraded to high speed internet.
Kitchen has all the gadgets to cook about anything. The fridge is nice and big for short or extended stays. We have an electric stove and propane bbq for you to enjoy. The covered porch and rocking chairs are perfect for relaxing after a day on the mountain or trails. There is a fire pit and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. We just installed AC for those hot summer days.
The ceilings in the bedroom/living room area are low, as this is a very small and historic cottage. The washer and dryer are located on the outside of the cottage in a storage room.
This cottage offers a private space not shared like other local condos and your own private hot tub.

The online description of "cozy & rustic" is completely apt. An excellent place for downtime very close to Mt. Baker.

Basic but comfortable cabin with convenient access to Mt. Baker attractions.

The cabin was ideal for my wife and I. We spent 1 night, did a hike previous at Horseshoe Bend, and the following day to Artist Point. Perfect location for both. Cabin is ideal for two adults or if you have 1-2 young children. Great amenities provided plus extras most places don't provide. Setting was great and hot tub was perfect. It was very hot this weekend so the canopy the trees provided was very welcome. Had dinner and drink's at Graham's-very good and the next morning went to Wake N Bakery both within easy walking distance. If we'd return and just the 2 of us, we'd stay again. Cecelia was great at communicating.

We enjoyed the cabin, though the internet never worked and the barbecue grill was nowhere to be found (though we did find the propane tank). The hot tub was great and the location close to town was awesome.

We stayed here after a great day of skiing Mt. Baker. It was the perfect little getaway, with a nice clean hot tub. The woods around the cabin are beautiful! The cabin was very cozy and the bed was very comfortable! Perfect little place for a romantic stay!

This was one of our favorite spots we have stayed in a long time. Super private yet still close enough to the town center to have everything within a 4-8 minute walk. Hot tub was fantastic and the rest of the place was very clean.

A cozy cottage quietly tucked away close to the Forrest. The host was lovely and welcoming, making sure if anything we needed, it would be sorted out for us
The hot tub was on for us when we arrived which was great beautiful and warm
A must stay for anyone wanting a quiet and peaceful cozy place

The home was in a great spot, I loved walking to Graham’s for dinner and a drink. Only 40 minutes from Artist’s point too. The hot tub was such a nice treat after a long day of hiking. The internet wasn’t working for one day of our stay but I had decent enough cell service that it didn’t matter too much. 10/10 would stay here again, it was super relaxing.

This was our first VRBO experience and it could not have gone better. We just needed a place to sleep after our sons mountain wedding.

My husband and I booked two nights to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We booked this place because of the quaint, cozy vibe portrayed in the listing. We were extremely disappointed in the lack of care put into this cabin that has potential to be quaint and cozy. There were ants crawling in every room, dead flies hanging from webs in the kitchen, the bathroom floor was mushy, black, and bubbled from apparent water damage, the covering on the kitchen chairs was ripped, the bathroom wall had a spot approximately 12x12" that was an unfinished drywall repair, curtain rod in the bedroom had been pulled loose and was just propped up on top of the headboard, cute battery-operated candles in the bedroom and none of them in working order, "spa" shoes for the hot tub had obviously been worn by many previous guests and they were absolutely filthy, old used kitchen scrubber and sponges were black and had dried food stuck to them from previous guests. We were disappointed when we first arrived but when we were about to make breakfast the next morning and saw ants crawling on the kitchen counter and dead flies hanging from the ceiling we decided we could not stay, packed our stuff and left without eating or showering. I emailed the owner who was kind enough to refund one night's fees but didn't respond when I requested a refund on the cleaning fee, nor did she refund half of the service fee or the lodging tax.

This property actually had a malfunction a few days before our trip. The owner was very quick to notify us and offered a different property in its place. The alternative was excellent! The owner was very attentive and communicative.

This is a great option for people that want that "cozy, rustic" cabin feel with a private hot tub. And tons of positive reviews are proof of that. My wife and I, however messed up and didn't key in on those details. We missed that it didn't have a dishwasher or any places to put clothing in the bedroom (i.e. no dressers, shelves). It was clean and we could have pushed through, but we decided to leave early and pay extra to stay at the Marriott in Bellingham. Yeah, further drive to Baker, but it was the kind of luxury we were really wanting for our vacation time. The cabin is great for what it is, just not for us. Oddly, we communicated that the property wasn't going to work for us and that we were leaving early to the host and didn't hear anything beyond the typical "get ready to checkout" and "hope you enjoyed your stay" form letters.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights on a quick ski trip to mt Baker. If you're planning to be out and about all day and just need a quiet place to crash, this is a good spot for you. The location is great and you can easily walk to Graham's or Wake'n Bakery. Its about a 30 min drive to the ski area from the property. The place is very small and really only suitable for 1-2 people. I bumped my head frequently on the ceiling when walking up into the kitchen, and the shower is very very tight. The hot tub was a nice amenity. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would consider staying here again in the future.

Great place to stay near Mt Baker! Easy drive from the cabin up to Mt Baker to snow shoe at artist point and 5 min drive to a beautiful river hike (horseshoe bend). Hot tub was relaxing after spending the day outside adventuring and it’s a quick walk to the fantastic wake n bakery for breakfast burritos and coffee.

My husband and I loved our stay in a Glacier! What a cute little town. The location was great to walk for coffee and breakfast at the Wake N Bakery each morning. We spent most our days our hiking in the Mt. Baker wilderness area and visited Chair 9 for dinner many nights. We really enjoyed coming back to the cozy cabin and relaxing in the hot tub ! Cecilia was great to communicate with and always returned my messages within minutes. We can’t wait to go back !

The cabin was nestled in PNW rain forest with ready access to a nearby creek. Everything we needed and more was available: comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen and bathroom, relaxing and comfortable furniture, hot tub and quiet.

We enjoyed the rural cottage to come back to at the end of each day of fishing. We had our own space to relax and clean up and just prepare and easy meal.
The place had all we needed, well stocked, and well kept.
The structure could maybe use some tlc, but it was perfect for the two of us.

We had a great stay! The owner was very easy to communicate with and recommend a great pizza place. The cabin was very comfortable and a great location to get to hiking trail.

On a super hot day, we enjoyed the cool of this charming little cabin nestled in the woods. Great hiking at the top of Mt. Baker.
Make sure you bring food and provisions. Except for the bakery and the ice-cream truck, none of of the restaurants are open. Closed indefinitely! The grocery stores in both Glacier and Maple Falls are very limited. Not sure if this is the norm for this time of year.
