Delroy Curly Ray’s Comal Condo at Camp Warnecke Estates has 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths located on the banks of the beautiful Comal River; across the street from Schlitterbahn; an easy walk to the downtown shops, bars and restaurants. The perfect location for your family vacation. This lovely 2 bedroom, 2 ½ bath condo overlooks the crystal clear Comal River from its two balconies high up in the treetops. Enjoy Schlitterbahn located just across the street, float the Comal River and get out at your own backdoor steps or walk up to the Garden St. Bridge for a soothing 30 minutes of “Cruising down the River” – perfect for the little ones. Rockin' R is a local tube outfitter which can pick up in the parking lot next to Camp Warnecke between Memorial Day and Labor Day. For any reservation outside of that time period, the Rockin' R shop is located only .5 miles away. Enjoy the pool and hot tub or explore the beautiful Hill Country. So many things to do you’ll want to stay a week!
The kitchen which opens into the dining and living area is fully equipped. The dining table seats six and there is room for three at the bar, plus there is a table on the balcony that seats four. There is a full sized washer and dryer, should you need them. The living room has a queen sleeper sofa and a love seat, perfect for gathering together to play games or for watching cable TV. There is also a half bath on this level.
Upstairs is a large master bedroom with vaulted ceiling, balcony overlooking the river, and private master bath. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds (which could be pushed together to form a king size bed) and its own bathroom. A pack n play is also available. All linens are furnished.
There are 2 parking passes provided with one guaranteed numbered spot. The second parking pass is for general parking and is 'first come first served.' This condo is on the second floor and does not have an elevator. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. No pets allowed. Guests will be provided with 6 wristbands (max amount allowed). This condo has a maximum occupancy of 6 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $1500.

These condos are individually owned and the owners graciously allow their "second homes" to be rented out and enjoyed! The security guards on premise are there to ensure only renters are using the grounds and that guests are parking in the correct parking spaces. Please do not be offended by the wristband and parking pass policies, they are really there to ensure that you have a fabulous time!

We could not have picked a better best. We had the best time here. In fact, we didn’t want to leave. The condo was so nice, cozy, peaceful, and super clean. The 2 balconies overlooking the Comal River had the best views. We could have sat out there for hours. The master bedroom was super spacious and the beds were super comfortable. The condo was close to everything. The property manager was very communicative and we felt very welcomed and taken care of. Would definitely recommend to our friends and family. This place is clean, beautifully decorated and has the best vibes! It was an absolute pleasure watching our boys jump into the comal river from the balcony. No noisy neighbors, everyone was polite and it was nice to have a pool after floating the river all day. Super close to downtown and the HEB! The bathrooms were IMMACULATE and the beds were super comfy, love having everything labeled as well. Honestly, it was a pleasure staying here!

New Braunfels Stay
You cannot beat the location and the view. The dryer and toilet were both broken but maintenance was quick to fix. The sheets were dirty on the pull out couch. The shower heads did not work properly and it was impossible not to flood the floor.

Relaxing vacation on the Comal
From the moment we arrived until we left we enjoyed every minute in this comfortable and beautiful place. Everything we needed was there. Thank you for having us and we will be back! The location was perfect for us and our children. I loved the patio in the early morning and evenings.

The condo was clean and comfortable, with plent of space for our 5 person family (we used the sofa bed for our 8 yo), and the beds were VERY comfortable. We loved everything about it! Also, communication with the leasing office was easy and they were very responsive.

Nice place
Great location. Enjoyed river view. Wasps and yellow jackets are frequent visitors to the 2 outdoor decks - luckily, wasp spray available for use and was used many times. Quality paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex/puffs facial tissue) need to be included in the unit given the $400+/night rental fee. The 1 ply TP and paper towels are worthless. There was not any facial tissue in the 2 Bedroom/2 bath unit at all. Kitchen was well stocked with eating and cooking utensils, however, absolutely NO seasonings/spices/condiments supplied. Wish this had been posted in the unit description so we could have brought needed items from home. Also, washer and dryer present but NO laundry detergent.

Perfect for our family of six. Loved my quiet mornings on the patio drinking coffee and watching the hummingbirds. The only suggestion I have would be to add a chain lock on the front door. Our boys are 3 and 6. Small children are curious beings and I was extremely nervous about them "escaping"... down the stairs, in the parking lot, and near the river. It would be a simple, inexpensive fix to help ensure the safety of small children.

The condo was upscale, well stocked, beautifully decorated, cozy, and felt like home! The beds and couches were comfy and the master bath was fantastic. Although we live in New Braunfels we needed temporary housing for a few months and Curly Rays was the perfect place to be. We weren't ready to leave when our time was up! As for the the management company, New Braunfels Escapes was prompt in responding when the water went off due to a break in the water main. They stayed in touch until we had water back on later in the day. That in addition to the fantastic communication during the reservation phase won a customer for life. I will make sure to recommend them and will surely use them again when I need to rent something in the area.All in all, this place is well worth the money and the location couldn't be more perfect! The river just makes everything less stressful.

Bachelorette Weekend Getaway
I chose this location/property to host my sister's bachelorette weekend. It was myself, my sister, and three of her friends who stayed at the condo. The property was exactly as described in the listing and could not have been more convenient for floating the river followed by a night out of bar scavenger hunting. We spent most of our time playing card/drinking games at the kitchen table which was more than enough space for us all. The balcony was the perfect spot for us all to enjoy our morning coffee and the scenic views. We even got to feed a sweet deer family from the balcony. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway whether you're going alone, with your family, or a group of friends.

Great stay
My family enjoyed this condo very much! Very comfortable and clean with a great view of the river. Unfortunately we were here for a hurricane evacuation, but it was so nice to be somewhere comfortable and such a nice setting. We sat by the river and went tubing or swam. Many restaurants are nearby and a great pizza place right next to the condos. I went walking every day to nearby Landa Park. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Schlitterbahn as well, just right across the street. If you want a quiet and relaxing visit, stay during the week, as things seem a bit more loud & wild on the river on the weekends! The condo does need a few kitchen and bathroom updates, but it had all we need and we were very happy.

We had to cancel our Disney trip due to Covid and decided to do a Staycation instead. We loved the condo. It was nice and clean. The view from both balconies is incredible. It did get a little loud with others staying next to and below our condo, but people calm down after quiet hours. We have season passes to Schlitterbahn and walked over to spend the day. We bought tubes and entered the river at Texas Tubes and got out right below our condo.
