About this chalet rental
This custom-built home was built by the Homeowner himself. This home boasts new stainless-steel appliances, green energy-efficient HVAC, large wrap-around deck. Nature abounds through magnificent windows and bedroom balconies (upper floor) surrounding you with nature at its finest. It is nestled on 1.30 acres on a cul-de-sac. Located between downtown Jim Thorpe and JFBB ski area. Whitewater rafting located within minutes of the home. Our home is a magnet for those who enjoy adventure, as well as, tranquility. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, and quiet location. This home has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a loft, laundry room, great room with beautiful wood-burning fireplace, wrap around deck with grill and gas firepit after a scenic hike or on those snowy nights after skiing and snowboarding all day. Enjoy entertainment with a game of pool or foosball while enjoying cocktails and sitting around the bar. This is a private lake community with a beach and playground.

Our family loves this place! For two years now we have gone over Thanksgiving and it was such a peaceful, quiet place to get away. There is plenty of room for our big family to spread out when we need space, hang out together in the rec area or go for walks and see deer and foxes. Our boys loved walking to different fishing sites either behind the house or at the lake. Jennifer was a great host who was quick to get back to us when we had questions. We will definitely be back in the years to come!

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is such a cool place and our kids really enjoyed the game room downstairs. Location is awesome. Weather didn't work out for us, but the house was such a nice place to just hang out and relax. Owners were super easy to reach if anything came up!

We had a fun weekend staying in this house. 6 little girls loved the bunk beds in the basement. They enjoyed exploring the trail to the creek and the bonfire was nice in the morning and evening. We went to Winterfest in Jim Thorpe. It wasn’t the snowy weekend we were hoping for as it was unseasonably warm but still a relaxing getaway.

This house was great with spaces to sleep and common areas. We loved the beck and fire pit. The basement had many amenities for our group, and we spent our last night down there. We had a blast and would recommend this house.

Wonderful stay! Property is great! My teens loved it! It is clean and spacious. After a few days in NYC it was great to just relax in this beautiful home. The property has all you need and then some! Owners are very responsive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to reserve this place!

Nice Getaway!
This property is convenient to the PA turnpike but nicely secluded in the woods. The home is spacious and well appointed. We enjoyed the deck, game room, and the open floor plan which was nice when you have several people and it is easy to monitor kids. The only minor disappointment was the outdoor grill, it was in very poor condition so we did not use it. The property owner was very quick to respond to questions and had very useful information about the area and the property, If we would visit the area in the future I certainly would consider staying at the property again.

Plenty of space to relax
Between the large deck, comfy living room, long kitchen table, and incredible game room and bar downstairs, there's a ton of space to relax and have fun. The teens in particular enjoyed the basement with its pool table and bunk beds. Jen was extraordinarily quick with responses before and during our stay, even when she was on her own vacation.

Better than the pictures!
We traveled with another family. 4 adults and 5 kids. We had such a great time. The kids had a blast with all the extra space available to them. As well as the games. The house was better than expected. Spotless and huge! We took the kids for a nature hike, traveled to camelback for tubing and enjoyed the amenities. We can’t wait to go back.

Weekend get away w 3 other couples. Beautiful home with great amenities for relaxing and making good memories with friends. Spent the day in downtown Jim Thorpe. Great shops, pubs and wine tasting. We will definitely be rebooking again.

Fantastic country home
The owners are very responsive and kind. They responded within minutes to any messages (no matter the importance) they provided a wonderful experience for our family. If we end up in the area again we would definitely do business with them again. The house, it was a beautiful house and the craftsmanship was wonderful. For a Christmas setting it was like something from a movie (with or without snow). If you are looking for an adorable place to stay of the beaten path in the Jim Thorpe area, this house is definitely the right place for you. Reminder it is remote and country living. However not but a few minutes from several towns for activities. Be them summer or winter activities this house is placed great for all. The house was a wonderful place to stay and in 6 days there our twins thought of it as home. I have only the best things to say about the house, I truly can't express how wonderful it is.

This property has everything for multifamily guests or a large group of friends. Location is private but not too isolated. All the local attractions were easily accessible. The home itself is so comfortable and impressive in every way. Hosts were great - prompt and clear communication throughout the process. Looking forward to coming back for this one again!

Perfect family getaway
The location was perfect for our family trip. The kids loved the lake, we spent all day there and even had the beach all to ourselves one day. Each of our 3 nights we built a fire and the surrounding was ideal. We explored the trail down the creek as well. The house was well maintained and great space for our needs.

Post Vaccinated Getaway
We were all vaccinated and ready to spend a weekend together after a challenging year. This cabin was a great place to both relax and reconnect as well as take in the local sights. The cabin was very clean and had lots of spaces to spread out. We ate our meals on the deck, made a nice fire in the fire pit, and played pool and foosball for hours. The instructions for using everything in the cabin were clear and the owners were just a text away if needed. We left refreshed and happy!!

Such a lovely, cozy home. We were so pleased. Had a blast down at the bar playing pool, family foosball tournament and blackjack. Kitchen was great for making a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Owner was super responsive and so nice.

Exceeded expectations
The chalet was even more beautiful and accommodating than the listing suggested. We stayed in wooded luxury for a relaxing Bachelorette weekend in the Poconos. We would have been happy just staying in and enjoying all the home and surroundings offered, but ventured out to explore Jim Thorpe, go ziplining, and out to dinner at one of the owners suggestioned restaurants (which was delicious and so close!) Jennifer and Garry were so friendly and helpful before, during, and at the end of our stay - their teenage son even jumped in to assist us with a door locking issue. I can’t recommend this beautiful place enough, and am already making plans with my family to visit again this winter. Thank you so much for a delightful weekend!

Excellent Stay
My whole family loved the stay. The house is beautiful and has a lot of space for everyone. There is only one neighboring house next to this house and we never heard anything from the neighbor. The house backs into a forest and we sat around the fire pit a lot enjoying the quietness and surrounding trees. We even saw a bear crossing the road right in front of the house when we went out for a walk one night. So if you are seeking quietness and nature this house is perfect. There are two things I want to mention for the benefit of future renters. The water out of faucets had a smell of metal pipe, and the trash station only opens on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Friday. But these two things didn't bother us. We had a wonderful time and plan to book again soon!

Great Family Vacation In a Beautiful Place
With social distancing and small apartment living, it has been hard to get quality family time in. This house provided an amazing escape to unwind at the end of summer. The house was incredibly clean and had great amenities. We used the gas firepit and pool table at night to catch up. In the morning, we took our coffee overlooking the beautiful surroundings. The owners were super helpful in guiding us to things to do in town and answering any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

Excellent stay in a beautiful location
Myself, my wife and some of our friends booked this property together for a couples retreat, just to get away from the stress of life for a moment. The property is beautiful, the owners are easy to communicate with and the time we had was wonderful - all of us feel recharged and energized from this trip. We lounged in the game room, made s’mores by the fire and hung out for hours on the deck. Not an issue but an FYI - the beds are on the firm side, so plan accordingly. I got a fine nights sleep, but my wife was a little uncomfortable. That said, it didn’t take away from our experience at all! We highly recommend this property and plan to return in the future. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to use their home and helping make our small vacation great.

Great stay!
Communication with the owners was outstanding from start to finish. The house was clean, as described, and we even saw a bear!! The basement is in the process of being updated but is still a great place to hang out. We traveled with our one year old and the house was perfect with him. There are a few things about the location I would like to mention. Remember you are in the middle of the woods, cell phone reception is nonexistent.. make sure you have all the security codes available before you get to the house! The only way to access internet on our phones was with the WiFi and we were unable to make outgoing phone calls. There is a land line available in the house. The water is a little hard and didn’t sit well with some of us. I strongly suggest bringing drinking water. Overall the house was great and it was exactly what we needed.

Peace and tranquility
We just returned from a weekend at this beautiful home and can’t say enough positive things about our wonderful experience. The communication with the owners from day one and throughout the entire experience was on point. Helpful information regarding restaurants, stores and things to do in the area was provided ahead of time which was great in planning our trip. The home itself is beautiful, spotless and well stocked with anything you could ask for. The location is perfect-close to Jim Thorpe and Hickory Run SP, but the home itself is in such a beautiful area so don’t pass up taking it all in. We loved sitting on the deck listening to the babbling of Drake’s Creek and the birds singing. My husband appreciated all the fishing close by and we also did some hiking and whitewater rafting. The check-in/out process was a breeze.
I highly recommend this beautiful property. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for providing such a peaceful refuge in this crazy world.

Perfect Family Getaway
This place was PERFECT for a family get together. We traveled from Virginia and Massachusetts to celebrate a very belated Christmas together as a family. We decided on this property and couldn't have been happier with our choice. We were very comfortable with 6 adults, a toddler, and an infant. The beautiful, woodsy setting made this place so relaxing. Everything was clean and the house provided all the amenities needed. The owners were terrific with communication. We will definitely look into this property again.

Wonderful home!
We got lucky with this vacation home find. 7 of us had plenty of space plus some. We loved playing pool and foosball and very much enjoyed no TV in the "living room." Sitting by the fireplace without a distracting TV, playing games and connecting as a family made this trip amazing! Jen was so responsive to all our questions and provided every answer we needed. We loved this home and would come back again for different seasons. The community beach looks like it would be great in the summer. Thanks again for having such a beautiful home to share.
