MAIN GREAT ROOM/KITCHEN/DINING – The main level is completely open with a great room, kitchen, dining area and backdoor opening to a screened-in deck to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature. The great room boasts a floor-to-ceiling stacked boulder fireplace in the center of a vaulted timber ceiling, perfect for relaxing with upscale leather sofa and chair, gas logs and 60" curved screen smart TV. Modern, fully-stocked kitchen with high-grade granite counter tops and brand-new, top-of-the-line appliances, including a gas range. The kitchen has everything you would need to create memorable meals and dining experiences – from glassware to cookware and kitchen gadgets, nothing has been left out. The massive rustic farm dining table accommodates 8 and the kitchen island an additional 3. We LOVED our time at Moose Creek Lodge spending time with family! There was plenty of space inside and out to enjoy one another’s company, eat meals, and sleep. We hope to be able to stay again next time!

We were looking for a convenient, family oriented location near Appalachian to attend my son’s graduation and Mother’s Day. This location was more than perfect! It had everything we needed! My mother went with us and is handicapped. She was able to go with us and stay on the main floor. No stairs to battle, the master bed room, kitchen, living room and screened porch were all right there for her to enjoy. The basement was perfect for my other kids, sister and her family. Ample space down there and more beds than we needed. The loft was perfect for myself and my husband. 3 living areas, perfect for extended families. Our host checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. This will be a definite return location for us. A 10 out of 10 in my book.

We really enjoyed this house. It was perfect for us and our families. Close to Hawksnest and Sugar Mountain. Arion and Wendy were wonderful answering my questions before our arrival and also checking on us through out our stay to see if we needed anything. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The cabin was beautiful! I loved the rustic decor. Everything was as expected per the listing. Hosts were friendly and communicative. We went skiing at Beech Mountain while we were there. Location was convenient. Thankful it didn"t snow though as getting in and out would have been difficult for us city folk. That though is the nature of the beast when traveling to the high country. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here with our friends and kids for a short skiing trip to sugar mountain. The place was impeccable, very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Location is very convenient, no more then 13-15 minutes from most amenities and sugar mountain. There was plenty of space for everyone. Cant stress enough how cozy and comfortable this cabin was. Would definitely come back.

Great rental - second time renting with these owners. We had previously stayed at a different property and had a great time - this one also did not disappoint! Quiet neighborhood and beautiful scenery. Owners are always welcoming and communicative. Looking forward to visiting again.

Spent a long weekend and did not want to leave! House was clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed walking our dog through the quiet neighborhood. Loved that we had complete privacy on the back decks but were still located in a neighborhood. The owners were extremely responsive and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay here again.

Beds were very comfy and the cabin very cozy. We had lots of fun relaxing, Playing cards and taking in the sights and sounds of Valle Crucis, Grandfather Mtn and Banner Elk areas. Weather was beautiful Labor Day weekend; not far from Otter Creek Falls trail (which our two pups thoroughly enjoyed).

We really enjoyed our stay at Moose Creek Lodge. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of a great hiking trail (Otter Falls) and several lakes in the area for fishing. Grandfather Winery is 6 minutes away by car, which was also fantastic! The finished basement creates a second living space with a TV and plenty of seating. There are mounted TV's in all living areas and bedrooms. The cabin worked very well for our adult family of 6.

Beautiful home with lots of space to relax. Great location being close to Boone, Linville, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. Very responsive owners. Weather during our stay wasn't the best so we greatly enjoyed the large cozy fireplace and screened porch. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was clean and as described. It was comfortable and decently appointed. I would inventory the kitchen and make sure things are still there; spatula, working can opener etc. The house is also very dark. It’s hard to read a book at night due to the lighting. Some brighter lights would be good.

Perfect Mountain Getaway
Moose Creek Lodge was perfect for our family...and in a great location for a fun mountain getaway. The cabin was clean, well-maintained and perfectly decorated. It served as a warm and relaxing place to come home to after spending our days hiking, touring and boating. This property is close to Banner Elk, Boone and Valle Crucis, so guests can find plenty of outdoor activities within a reasonable proximity. Hosts were excellent and communicated with us quickly regarding any questions we had. We had a wonderful time...will definitely come back.

The cabin is so nice, clean and well located.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Moose Creek Lodge. "Connor ", the resident moose, is amazing!! The beds are comfortable, the cabin clean and well stocked. The owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had. The downstairs bunk room is a real plus ,the kiddos could spread out and play feeling like they had their own area. We would highly recommend. Be sure to walk the community for your morning work out!

Great rainy day getaway
We brought a youth group up to go snow tubing and shortly after we finished, the temps dropped and the rain started. Lucky for us we had booked Moose Creek Lodge! This was the perfect place for all of us to hang out, relax, and play. The kids were in love with the basement and playing some of the games that were on hand. Us adults had no problem kicking back and relaxing by the fire! I would loved to have stayed longer...even while watching a group of kids:)

Perfect Location for our Trip to App State
We fell in love with Seven Devils and Moose Creek Lodge during out vacation and campus tour of App State. The cabin was perfect for our family and the location was ideal. Everyone had plenty of room, and we loved hanging out on the screened porch. The host were outstanding and made us feel so welcomed. We actually left an item behind during out stay and Arion and Wendy went out of their way to help us find the item and ship back to us. We will definitely stay at Moose Creek Lodge again as it looks like we will be visiting NC for four more years too! Go Apps.

House was perfect for our family & our friends! We had five kids total that could all stay in the basement & two king suites for the adults. The location was perfect for tubing at Hawk’s Nest & riding the Alpine coaster! Communication with the homeowner’s was wonderful! Would definitely go again!

Great transition trip
I had a week in between jobs and decide to go to Boone for the first time. Since it was last minute we wanted to bring our hiking buddy dog. What a great place we found. 15-20 minutes or less from everything (Boone, Banner Elk, Linville, Blowing Rock, all 3 ski resorts grocery stores, wineries, etc). The cabin is only 2 miles from a main road but was very quiet. Inside we outfitted beautifully.
Every day we visited a different part of the area, starting with a couple hour hike, followed up on shopping and eating lunch. Night time was relaxation by the fireplace. Internet worked great so that helped with cell reception which in the mountains is spotty - not that we worked a lot during the time.
I would highly recommend MCL to couples, groups of couples, families, etc who was looking a great getaway. We saw late autumn so no colors were left, I can only imagine how beautiful it is during leaf peak season, summer, and winter when there is snow. Of course then the crowds may also be back.

Property was beautiful! One of the nicest we've stayed in in NC. Place was clean and we'll maintained. Seven Devils is gorgeous and very close to Boone, Banner Elk and Valle Crucis.

Perfect Family Getaway
My family and I had the best time staying at this property. House was clean and ready for our stay. My parents, my husband and I, along with my sister and her children all had plenty of space to spread out. The boys especially liked the bunk bed space downstairs. Location was great - about 30 minutes to Blowing Rock and about 20 minutes to some great activities to do with the kids. I highly recommend hiking at Otter Falls which is about 5 minutes away from property by car. Great overall experience and would definitely stay here again.

FALL FAMILY GETAWAY
My family and I come every fall for the Wooly Worm Festival and we all agree that Moose Creek Lodge is now our favorite place. Everything was perfect! The house was so peaceful and quiet yet it was so easy to get to all the places we wanted to go (Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock). The house was clean and welcoming and had everything we needed. We loved the fireplace and my girls fell in love with the basement. They stayed in the basement the entire weekend and had a blast. I highly recommend Moose Creek Lodge, we most definitely will be back!

Relaxing get away
Moose Creek Lodge is a perfect place for a relaxing get away. While there are other houses not far away, you never notice them. You get the feeling that you are the only ones around without having to be too remote. The house is beautiful and comfortable. It is a place we would definitely consider coming back to.

Great Mountain Getaway
