About this house rental
We just upgraded to unlimited devices, 1000mbps WiFi. Perfect for virtual working from home. This beautiful house sits right high on top of I70 on the side of the hill. It is centrally located to 5 mountain resorts (Keystone, Copper Mountain, A-Basin, Breckenridge, Loveland). Close to Dillon Marina, grocery stores and restaurants, nicely furnished and decorated. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Small dog is welcome with prior approval. Summer is filling up fast!
House features 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, 3 bedrooms with 2 twin size beds in each (day beds with trandle or just 2 sepaprate twin size beds). There is a beautiful mountain view from the dining room and living room. Even though the house is close to the highway, there is no noise inside. You can, however, hear some highway traffic from the deck area. Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances is fully stocked with cooking basics, so you can prepare home made meal when you just do not feel like going out. However, if you have some energy left, this house is conveniently located within minutes drive to restaurants, movie theater, grocery store, and even Tanger Outlets. In my house you have enough room to enjoy your vacation, relax, spend great time with your family and friends and make new memories to last a lifetime...
1 small dog might be accepted with prior approval - fees apply.
Guests have access to 2 floors in the house - main level with living room, kitchen and one bedroom, as well as lower level with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
Our house is located on Piney Acres cir. It is nicely separated from other houses. It is very private. The closest house is at the end of a long driveway. Please make sure your car is equipped in good winter tires and possibly 4 wheel drive if you are visiting during winter months.
There is free bus transportation in Summit County. You are only minutes away from restaurants, grocery store, gas station, movie theatre, Dillon Marina, Bowling alley and more. This is really a great location, close to resorts but also to all the entertainment.
If you are traveling during the winter please make sure that your car is appropriate for winter conditions and snow driving. 4 wheel drive and good snow tires are highly recommended when driving in the mountains as well as getting to and from the house.
All sheets and towels are provided. There is a washer and dryer in the house that guests are welcome to use (at their own risk as we have well water :)))
The house is on well water system. It can appear little discolored at first (especially if house was unoccupied for few days), but if you simply run it for a while it will get clear.
Dog fee is $35/night (dogs only allowed with prior approval, must be in a crate if ever left alone in the house)

The houses is good size, but older and the toilets are Rusty from the well water. one of the showers only had cold water.
It’s possible it’s protocol, but I did not have check-in details until the day before which made me somewhat nervous.

Lots of space
The house worked great for our large group. 4 bathrooms made it very nice when we were all getting ready for a wedding. Definitely would stay again and recommend to friends or family.

Christmas in the CO mountains
The Cooke’s mountain home has spectacular views! Space was very adequate for 6 of us! The direct tv and wi-fi were definitely a plus. Close to ski slopes, restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.

Wonderful stay!
Gosia's getaway was perfect. The house has so much charm and is way bigger than it looks in pictures. It is super easy to get anywhere in Silverthorne or Dillon. Highly recommend it.

It has awesome views and very close to Dillon lake, beautiful surrounding area!
The owners were very accommodating with us, they even arranged for us to have a pay per view event for us!
(Didn't have to, but that's how cool they were)
Very spacious, clean, cozy, it was just a great place to stay for the weekend, will definitely recommend, and will surely come back!

Space was perfect for our group, but house needs some updates.
Pillows were cheap and old, many of the windows did not have screens, which made it stuffy in the house because we were not comfortable having windows open with no screens, especially at night when we wanted to enjoy the cool evenings. Beds were not comfortable, they too seemed cheap and old.
Loose boards at main door that my 80 year old mother almost fell because of.
Bathroom on bedroom level shower was unusable during our stay( they attempted to fix, but did not)
Lighting in bedrooms was weird and hard to figure out, the lamps were worthless, again cheap and old. Not all outlets were working, we had to hunt for a working outlet.
Kitchen was updated and had pretty much what we needed, more bowls would have been nice. There were 2 propane containers for the outdoor grill which were empty... so our grilling night did not happen, which was disappointing, after all our preparation.
Ants, the big black ones were in the house, especially in one of the bedrooms.
The location was good, and the I-70 traffic wasn’t a big deal to us as stated in other reviews.
So in short, the space was great, the house just needs work.
The owners were fast in their response to the bathroom shower, it just was not fixed correctly, and it was unusable during our stay.

Ski trip
The home was spacious. Highway traffic noise was a huge problem in master bedroom and adjacent bedroom. Even with earplugs and a white noise app, we had difficulty sleeping most nights. I would not stay here again.

Fit our group's needs!
We were pleased with the house for our group's ski trip needs. We really enjoyed the large kitchen table that we could all sit at. Our only hardship was the neighborhood and driveway were difficult to drive on in the snow in our non-4wheel drive vehicle. We met a nice neighbor that gave us some helpful tips. We would recommend this house!

Beautiful Mountain House
We spent 5 days at this great place and loved every moment of it. House is beautifully furnished and decorated and is very spacious for the size of our group. The finished basement with additional living room area, TV, and dining table is just another bonus. We enjoyed our vacation and Gosia contributed to it.

Beautiful house and great host
This house was exactly what we needed to enjoy our family vacation. Enough room for our group in this nicely furnished and decorated place. We loved relaxing on the deck and made great memories. Thank you to Gosia for being so accommodating and responsive. We will be back.

Mountain House
Our group of friends rented this house and we were very happy with our decision. It comfortably accommodated us and we did not feel overcrowded, like we would in a condo which we could have rented at the same price. The value with this place is amazing. It is very clean and well maintained. We highly recommend it and will be back.

place is okay. well kept but is too close to freeway. constant freeway noise. inside house. sitting on deck was a roar. there is quieter places to stay with views of mountain. wouldn't go back

Good location
Overall I'd say this was a fairly nice house. The location was central to what we did - ski at Breck and Copper, snowmobile and walk around/dine in Breck and Frisco. We did encounter some issues while at the house including:
-Mounds of snow that had fallen off the roof at both front and back doorways that made for an adventure crawling over to get into the house
-Sewer-like odor once you walked into the house
-Brown (muddy-like color) water in sinks & tubs
-Dishwasher that did not work
-Steep driveway & neighborhood roads that only four-wheeled vehicles could safely traverse with all the snow and ice
We are an easy-going group and lived with these conditions while at the house. I felt the owner (Gosia) should know about these, so on our last night there I called her to make her aware. She has since advised me that all conditions have been addressed.
I gave the house 3 stars and not 5 simply because when you rent a house you don't expect these types of issues. As long as they've been corrected I would give the house a high 4 or low 5.
Enjoy your stay.

Overall Good Location
My first impression of the home was that it was very spacious yet cozy
with great views all around. The downstairs studio aka "man-cave" looked
amazing with direct access to the hot tub. All the amenities were as
described and we were provided with towels, a stocked kitchen with pots
and pans, plus misc things from the pantry, etc. The location was
essential as it was close to everything and every place we needed e.g.
Christy's rental, Target, Walgreens, and a few miles from
Copper/Keystone.
The drive from the main street was a bit treacherous as it was icy and
had some up/down slopes with a sharp turn depending on which direction
you took, but luckily two of our vehicles had AWD. That definitely
helped parking into the downward sloping driveway. Unfortunately the
third vehicle had to be towed as it couldn't make the uphill climb nor
was it able to exit back out. I think for future travelers, putting an
additional physical description of the road would help.
The only major downside that our group experienced may have been a first
time occurrence (Unfortunate for me) as I did not see any mention of it
in previous reviews. There was no mention of the water being sourced
from a well system until I received the arrival details, which would
have been fine except it got to a point where our tap water would
randomly/suddenly turn yellow. Whether from the bathroom faucet, kitchen
sink, toilet, or even shower head. I understand the more people there
are, the more water usage there will be but this happened within the
first day and generally only the water pressure would be affected. I
think it might have been a filtration issue. And there was a lingering
funky smell which could have been attributed to that as well. A few of
my housemates noticed it more than I did. I removed 1 star as opposed to
2 since both are due to possibly one factor.
Overall, it was a nice place with plenty of room for a big group, stock
with all the essentials, and close to places you want to go to. If it
weren't for the water/smell issue, then this would have been a 5-Star
listing for me. Hopefully the next time we decide to come back, it will
be.

Great Value / Location
We stayed with 2 families (11 people) and it was a perfect setup. Room for the kids to be away from the adults if they chose to, large tv, plenty of beds, and great kitchen for meal preparation. Hot tub was a hit with the kids as well. Location was great for skiing and overall no complaints. Owner is quick to respond to issues/concerns (if any) and I would recommend this home to anyone. Would stay again here without any hesitation.
