Wonderfully relaxing stay in Kingston
We very much enjoyed our stay in the carriage house loft - it was so peaceful and relaxing. As soon as we arrived we felt at home, and Angelo made sure we had everything we needed. The loft is beautifully and very tastefully decorated, and has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The shops and restaurants of the uptown district are a short drive away. We hope to return often!

Lovely Weekend
We had a great stay at the loft! Everything was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with basics if we had wanted to do any cooking. Angelo met us there to check in and even left us cookies and a bottle of wine!

Family vacation in the Hudson Valley
We loved this carriage house. Such a charming place, guest quartets behind a beautiful old home & horses/stables at the end of the driveway. Loved discovering this area of ny. We took a cruise on the Hudson River, toured FDR s estate, went to a concert On the Vanderbilt lawn & toured West Point. This home was well locAted for us. Loved preparing breakfast in the morning with big kitchen window over the sink open! Beautiful view. Our host was charming polite and helpful. A fabulous place!!!

Quiet Comfort
Our stay at Angelo's was the perfect recharge my wife and I needed. It is a very comfortable home, well decorated and thought out, which made our stay relaxing. Definitely a charming apartment that feels like a house. Thank you Angelo. Peace.

We had a very short stay (Two nights) so our impressions may be inaccurate. Angelo is a gracious host and a pleasure to deal with. The Loft is exactly as presented and quite comfortable for two. My only caveat is that I don't believe the description of the Loft mentions there is another rental unit (The Stables) on the first floor. Certainly not the end of the world during our short stay, but we were surprised at how the sounds from below carried upstairs. Having folks below could also preclude use of one of the patio areas pictured.

Great weekend away in the loft
The loft was exactly as pictured and Angelo was more than welcoming with great local suggestions. The only shame is that we didn't have more time to stay.

Amazing!
Angelo was a pleasure and made my weekend away with my boyfriend perfect. The cottage is just as it looks online, probably even better. We were able to explore all the towns nearby, all only about a 20 minute drive. The cottage was located on a quiet, gorgeous street overlooking beautiful foliage. I will certainly look into renting from Angelo again when I return to the Hudson Valley.

Truly a very nice, well kept rental.
Staying at The Loft makes you feel like home! Angelo and Tony have put so much effort to make us welcome. Easily 5 stars out of 5! Beautiful decor inside worth mentioning. If you want to cook, you have all the necessary essentials. Outside is well maintained. Close to all sorts of things to do...eat, shop, drive around to see the area. Would absolutely recommend The Loft to anyone!

Carriage House
This is a wonderful place to stay! The house has wonderful decorative touches and is very comfortable. The grounds that this sits on is lovely. It's in a great location to explore nearby towns and villages, as well as the Catskills. The owners are very gracious hosts! I would definitely return!!!

Fantastic Stay
We stayed 5 days in the upstairs loft! That week was particularly hot and humid, however the loft had two air conditioners to insure our comfort. We were extremely comfortable! The space itself was clean, modern and nicely decorated, all our needs were met and and we absolutely will stay again! Thank you Angelo for a wonderful space and for giving us our privacy.

The Perfect Getaway
My love and I went to the carriage house to celebrate his birthday away from the hustle of our city lives. Enterprise was able to pick us up so that we could rent a vehicle. After purchasing some groceries, we made this place our home for 5 days. It was so relaxing and beautifully kept that on our first full day there we did absolutely nothing. Everything we needed was readily available. The quiet does not take long to get used to; even the sound of the trains in the far distance did not disturb our peace. Angelo could not be more warm and welcoming. He provided helpful information upon our arrival and we used his suggestions to plan the rest of our stay. The walk through the neighborhood was poetic and we were greeted kindly by everyone we met. It almost felt as if we were in a southern town instead of upstate NY. By the time we left, it felt as if we were leaving a new friend. We will be back as this will become our private escape when we need to decompress.

What a lovely place!
This property was exactly as presented on your website. Actually, the place was much bigger in person that it appeared in the pictures on line. It was the perfect place for a getaway for two. We used it as our launching pad for site-seeing in the Hudson River Valley.
Nearby restaurants were really good. Angelo and Anthony couldn't have been nicer. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay.

THE place to stay while visiting Kingston NY
It is hard to say how much the Kingston Carriage House Loft exceeded our expectations. It's not obvious, for example, that while carriage house is close to everything in Kingston ("five to ten minutes" is the standard) it is perched on the edge of a cuesta with mountains in the distance and fields filled with horses. Being at the end of the road means no traffic noise, and the loft itself is far enough from the main house that you enjoy a sense of privacy and cosiness. The apartment itself is a spacious long room punctuated by the entry stair and dining/kitchen area. The ceiling is loft-like but high enough to make the room feel airy, and the windows let in good light in the morning and evening. The kitchen has everything to entertain a small group, but Kingston's many good eating places make this a non-necessity. Angelo, the host, was the BEST. He gave us a good introduction and some advice for the stay. He was available but not otherwise paying attention to us. We felt easy in coming and going. This is a super value for anyone wanting to enjoy this part of the Hudson while, at the same time, enjoying an easy commute or train-ride to New York City.

Great secret!
What a great place! Quiet, easy, beautiful--a real find. Wish we'd known about this wonderful place during the last four years our son was in college--we'd stayed here every time!

Delightful Escape
The carriage house was a great place to spend our 5 day get away to exploring the Hudson River Valley. The apartment was a warm, spotlessly clean, well appointed space to relax and also use as a home base. We lingered in the AM and relaxed on the patio in the evening enjoying the beautiful outdoor space. Close proximity to exploring the Catskills or doing a walking tour of historic Kingston. Angelo and Tony have done a wonderful job restoring the property. Be sure to ask them for suggestions for dining...they are right on with great places to enjoy an evening meal or drinks and apps. At their suggestion we enjoyed Armadillo, Boitsons, and Tappen House. Thanks Angelo and Tony for sharing this lovely property!

Great weekend retreat!
My mom and I booked this beautiful carriage house for 3 nights to visit the NY Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck. We had the top floor unit, has a spacious open plan layout, with two beds (one in a bedroom area, and a single in the living room). The kitchen is large and has every modern convenience, including the incredibly necessary coffee maker and coffee. The carriage house is at the back of the property across the lawn from the owners' home, who greeted us warmly on Thursday and showed us around. We explored Kingston, took a riverboat cruise on the Hudson, took a short driver over the river to Rhinebeck for the festival, and visited the nearby Vanderbilt Mansion. There are great restaurants in the area--we took the short drive over to Woodstock for dinner one evening--and there are so many vegan options. The house was comfortable, modern, very clean, and close to interesting things to see and do. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Impressed, they'll ask you how you found this gem...
Although we weren't traveling from very far away (NEPA), I had my hopes up for a major change of scenery for the weekend. As we were driving through the neighborhood to get to the Carriage House, I was a little disappointed, thinking, "Well, this looks just like home." Upon arrival at the house though, you are whisked away. The stunning property sits at the end of a dead-end road and is nestled among well maintained yards and beautiful old trees.
We were greeted by Angelo, who was keen to our arrival time. He is welcoming, energetic, and interesting to talk to. We stayed in the loft apartment, which is on the second floor of the Carriage House. It is bright, airy, and artfully and comfortably appointed. Full kitchen, nice dining table, big leather couch, space to spread out!
We were particularly drawn to the privacy of this rental. You are removed from the main house, and are the only guests on the property. This scenario is fairly one-of-a-kind, in my considerable experience. The only drawback for me was that the bed was hard. Rest was not particularly restful. However, we are accustomed to a soft king bed.
If you're planning a weekend away with someone, they will be impressed by your "find" of this property. We look forward to using it as our home base next time we go exploring the Hudson Valley. Thank you, Angelo!
