About this cottage rental

Classic rustic private cottage on the Severn River at the border of Muskoka & Severn Township. Just up from Sparrow Lake and downriver from Trent-Severn Lock 42 and the warm turquoise waters of Lake Couchiching. Only 1.5 hours from Toronto!

On the Trent-Severn System just minutes from Sparrow Lake. APPROX. Lat Long.: 44.790501,-79.392239.

Two screened porches (front and rear) plus an outside deck overlooking the river, lawns and private dock.

On the Severn River at the border between Muskoka and Severn Township. Only a few minutes up river from the rugged beauty of Sparrow Lake, and downriver from Trent-Severn Lock 42 and the warm turquoise water of Lake Couchiching.

Take a spectacular boat trip from the front door to Georgian bay in only a couple of hours, or boat right to Casino Rama in under an hour! Or relax in the screened porch in between swims from the dock. In a quiet location only minutes by car or boat to dining and activities at resorts in Port Stanton, Gravenhurst, Severn, and Orillia.

Three bedrooms, one downstairs and two upstairs. First upstairs bedroom with one queen and two twin beds, second upstairs bedroom with one queen and one twin bed. Downstairs master bedroom with one queen bed. Lots of parking.

This cottage is exactly what you would want a summer cottage holiday in Ontario to be! Very comfortable, homey, and really well-equipped. The whole property is beautiful - we enjoying kayaking and canoeing right off the dock and just sitting watching the boats go by on the river! Jan was great host - very proactive and responsive. We would highly recommend this property.

Property was very clean and in a superb location. Fishing off the dock was perfect - we lost count of the number of fish caught. Air conditioning was definitely a bonus as we had the perfect hot and sunny week. Walking distance of a small LCBO, grocery store and patio restaurant. Will probably book again for next year.

My family and I had stayed here last summer and we loved it so much we had to come back. Great place for swimming, boating and fishing. Large dock, back deck and fire pit area to hang out at. The water was nice to cool off in and deep enough to jump off the dock! Very clean and well kept inside. Spacious with everything you need, but still cozy. Thanks again, we’ll be back!

Very close to Marina, great for docking a boat for the week. I had a great experience being able to go out every day and do some fishing on sparrow lake. Friends came up at the end of the week and we had a fantastic time and tide a blowup island to the dock. Friendly boaters! Lots of room in the screened porch which was great for keeping bugs away.

Not bad but it was a very old property and it only has one bathroom downstairs which was hard when you are upstairs. It required everything you need. Overall rating is not bad.

My husband, myself and our son who lives in assisted living went for a 4 day 3 night getaway. Our son has just been able to visit since covid. Thus was the perfect getaway to reconnect and relax. The cottage is well appointed and immaculate. Needs were comfy. The boys caught quite a few fish right off the dock. Would definitely rent again.

Excellent boats, kayaks, canoes etc. Great dock and water for jumping and diving - easy ladder to get out. Quiet airconditioning! Lots of games, interesting books. Full kitchen with dishwasher. Double screened entries to keep bugs out with auto closing doors. Well designed and thought of cottage. Old cottage but updated for modern cottaging.

This cottage is amazing! We had a wonderful stay. Clean and spacious rooms. Great yard for playing and the dock was perfect for swimming off of. Great place to fish and enjoy the wildlife. Jan was always quick to answer any questions during our stay and is polite and friendly personality made it easy to communicate. We will definitely be renting again!

I booked this cottage very last minute so I am very glad that the listing was accurately described. We are a family of 4 adults and two dogs and the cottage provided plenty of space for us to relax without bumping into each other - the kitchen, living/dining room, sun porch and the patio had ample space to lounge. The cottage was clean and well-equipped; with plenty to keep us occupied in any given weather (canoe/boats/kayaks/paddle boat/books/board games, etc.) Also appreciated the extra touches: outdoor heating lamp, both drip & Tassimo coffee makers, extra fans.. Great cottage getaway.

Great cottage getaway.

Very "cottagey" getaway, which is what we were looking for on the beautiful Severn river, for our family of 6. A plus for us was docking our boat and jet ski right at the cottage and it was just a short ride to Sparrow Lake. We enjoyed jumping or diving off the dock to swim. The cottage was roomy and comfortable. The owner was friendly and available by phone, although we didn't need anything as the cottage was well equipped and tidy. Great location. We are looking forward to another stay.
