About this house rental
Spruce Ridge Lodge is a fantastic "find" in Breckenridge: a luxurious, large (3,500 sqft) five-bedroom, 3-1/2 bathroom home that can easily accommodate 12 guests or more in style and comfort. It will impress everyone who walks in the door! It boasts a fantastic, family friendly layout on Peak 8, just a block from the free shuttle to the slopes and historic Main Street Breckenridge. The bus loops to Peak 7 Base then Peak 8 Base and back to our stop (less than 10 minute loop). Main Street Breckenridge is also only a 5 minute ride on the free shuttle.
Inside, you'll find a delightful combination of contemporary flair and rustic mountain charm, with tasteful furnishings and thoughtful amenities throughout. The main living area is open, bright and airy, with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and huge windows overlooking the mountains. There is a beautiful two-story fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating and a 55 inch flat screen TV. It's the perfect setting for family conversation, entertainment, or just relaxing after an exhilarating day of skiing, hiking or biking. Step outside on to the large deck and slip in to your private hot tub or fire up the gas grill.
The kitchen boasts a spacious layout that your group's chef will love. It is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare memorable mountain dinners, apres-ski snacks and more. There is plenty of seating for your hungry crowd, with ten in the dining room, six in the breakfast nook, and four at the kitchen counter.
The sleeping arrangements are ample and fun. Upstairs there are two king bedroom suites with full private freshly remodeled bathrooms. The kids and teens will enjoy the upstairs bunk rooms one with extra loft/sleeping area. There’s a TV/lounging area and some cool places to crash: two sets of bunk beds and a sleeping nook up a ladder.
The main level features a lovely master suite with a king bed, private bath with soaking tub and a private balcony. Of course, Spruce Ridge Lodge features all the amenities you'd expect in a quality mountain home, a washer and dryer, a boot room for after a long day of skiing, a large two car garage with extra parking in the driveway, and complimentary WiFi throughout the home.
Please note there is an attached owners apartment with its own separate entry. It is unoccupied and will remain so unless utilized on rare occasions by the homeowners who will never arrived unannounced nor interfere in any way with the fun you and your group are having at Spruce Ridge Lodge.

It was exactly as advertised and had everything you could possibly need and more. Owners were very responsive. House was a short walk away from the gold line, which takes you directly into town which was so convenient. Would absolutely stay again!

This roomy and comfy home in a great location made for a perfect family vacation in the mountains

This is a hidden gem in Breck. It’s the perfect house for a group of three families to enjoy some skiing. Short walk to ski on/off; a short walk to the bus; or even a manageable walk uphill to the base of Peak 8. The house has everything you could need, and the owners are super responsive if you need them. We highly recommend this place!

This home was perfect for our group of kids, teens and adults. We had skiers ranging from beginners to expert so peak 8 was a perfect landing spot (not nearly as busy as peak 9 in our opinion) and easy to get to and from. Great communication with host. We drank coffee on the porch and watched the sunrise. Would stay here again!

The house is spacious and beautiful. A two minute walk to the shuttle stop and then on to the lifts and onto great skiing. We would definitely come back.

Perfect spot for a large group! Less than a five minute walk to the shuttle to get to the mountain and downtown.

House was nice radiant floor heating was new, but lack of air flow does make it a bit stuffy.

This home is wonderfully located on peak 8, one bus stop from the base of peak 8, which made for easy access to the mountain with littler kids! We loved the home, plenty of space to congregate and spend time with family and the bedrooms we spacious. If I had one complaint I would say the bathrooms on the top floor are a little small to share with 3-4 people in a family.

Great stay for 14 people NY weekend! Would book again!

We had the entire family and a couple +1 of the kids and the privacy of the rooms coupled with the openness of the living area where we could all share made it for an unforgettable vacation. The heated floors were the best part of waking up every morning. We would definitely rent this property again for our next vacation. Also it was a 2 min trip to peak 8 and a 4min walk to the bus stop.

House is super clean and spacious! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need and perfectly labeled and organized! PLENTY of room upstairs for everyone to sleep! Super nice area to leave ski wear downstairs when coming in! Hot tub was a nice touch! Grill was clean and ready for grilling! Will definitely book again

This home is amazing! The pictures and description exactly match the home. It was very clean, big and up to date. The owners have special service scheduled like trash pickup and hot tub maintenance. The location was so convenient to downtown Breck and would be a great place to stay during ski season. The owners were so easy to communicate with. We would definitely go back!

Great location with all the amenities you could use. We’ve been coming to Breckenridge for the past four summers or so and this was one of our favorites. Really enjoyed the house.

Nice home away from home! The house was clean, spacious and was right down the road from Peak 8. We enjoyed our stay and will look for this property again for our next visit in Breckenridge!

This home was in the perfect location. Very close to the bus stop which made it easy for little ones to walk in ski boots. The equipment room was a key feature allowing everyone a space for their gear. The hot tube is a must have after a long day on the slopes. Kitchen and family room are a wonderful spot to hanging out as a large group to end the evening. Three bedrooms with private bathrooms and king beds are ideal for multiple families. Lastly the bunk area provided extra excitement to cousins being able to have their own kids space, which adults appreciated also! We would definitely love to stay at this home again!

Three families stayed at the house for a spring break ski trip. The layout was perfect for us, and the location near the bus stop and with a short walk to the 4 o'clock run was stupendous. The kitchen was well stocked, and the mud room was amazing to handle gear for twelve skiers. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed as part of a group of 8 adults and (even staying in one of the non-room bunk beds) have no complaints! Can walk to the Four Oclock slope in 5 mins, the bus in 3, and peak 8 base / gondola in 10-15. Boot room in the house was perfect for storing gear / getting ready in the mornings.
House was warm with a cosy fireplace and living room area. Hot tub was wonderful. Amazing showers. Would recommend and would love to stay again.

Everything worked out great except the hot tub had issues a few days in and we were no longer able to use it for the remainder of the trip. Other then that, the house was stocked with a lot of what we needed and it was only a short walk to the Gold camp shuttle stop that took you to both peak 8 and 9.

Positives:
+ Location! 3 min. walk to Gold Bus, only 1-2 stops from Peaks 7&8. Amazing ski access. 5 min drive to town/groceries/ski rentals. Neighborhood is upscale and beautiful. Driveway was cleared after it snowed, roads were constantly plowed.
+ Well stocked kitchen, everything helpfully labeled. We brought groceries to make dinner every night and had access to everything needed including spices, condiments, baking utensils, plenty of dishes, etc.
+ 3 private bedrooms with king beds. Master bedroom and bathroom are lovely and spacious.
+ Hot tub was hot and convenient, great to use at the end of a ski day. Lots of towels handy.
+ Views of the surrounding winter wonderland from the spacious and comfortable family room/kitchen were fantastic.
+ Christmas tree was an appreciated extra. Plethora of puzzles & games kept the kids busy.
+ Mud room for ski stuff was FANTASTIC. Two car garage terrific. Loved the heated floors. Grill worked great. Deck was nice.
If we had a magic wand:
- Carpets are all in need of replacement. They are warped in many areas and don't seem "up to par" with this nice house.
- Though they are updated, the 2 upstairs bathrooms are the tiniest we've ever laid eyes on. You can't even close the door to the potty rooms without stepping into the shower. Wish these were a bit more functional.
- Plenty of beds and sleeping space for at least 6 additional people... however extra beds are all in an open/loft area, so there was zero privacy to change clothes, etc. And sharing the tiny bathrooms which are in the two bedrooms was not ideal. Putting a door on the loft to the left of the stairs to make an extra "room" would be helpful.
- Beds are in need of an upgrade. Towels were great, but sheets, blankets, mattresses, and pillows didn't match the class of the house.
- House heated rooms very differently. We ended up using a provided portable heater in a couple rooms when the temp fell below 60, just took a couple days to get ourselves regulated.
Overall we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed this home very much. Perfect for 6-8 people looking for a ski home base.

This is a mountain home and was exactly as pictured in the Vrbo ad. A big, beautiful, comfortable place that was well provisioned with all kitchen utensils, sheets, towels, etc. Accommodations were excellent and with 8 people, we hardly used all available sleeping areas. It could not be more conveniently located - the shuttle to Peak 8 a short walk away. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with ample seating at the large dining room table. Hamid and Holly are great hosts. I highly recommend this home.

Great House, Perfect Location
What a great time we had at this property. House was spacious, clean and very comfortable for our group. Owners were gracious hosts! Location was a quick ride/walk to Peak 8 and the Nordic center. It was a healthy but doable walk to town, but by car under 10 Minutes. Would love to come back here next time we are in Breck!

Great location--just a short walk to base of Peak 8!
Property was very nice. Our only issue the entire time was trying to figure out how to use the fans in each room as some rooms would get hotter than others. Overall we loved the house and the kitchen being nicely stocked was great to cook at the house after a long day on the moutain!

A wonderful family Christmas !
The house is lovely, we had everything we needed for cooking great meals, everyone was pleased with the accommodations except for the water leaking into the bathroom when people showered. Some great DVDs but no DVD player!

The house is beautiful and location is excellent! I left a note for the caretakers about three minor items. We left all the silverware but I did contemplate taking the Moose; just couldn’t figure how to carry it on the plane! Thanks and Happy Bew Year!

Excellent escape in the mountains!
Our family had a great experience staying here. The house setup was perfect for our family including a great room layout, open living space, hot tub, and even a fun loft for our kids to sleep/play in. All of the essentials were available and the kitchen worked great for big family meals. Holly was very quick to respond to questions we had and we would not hesitate to rebook in the future.

Rented house for eight adults. Plenty of comfortable sleeping arrangements and queen size beds. Well stocked kitchen. Excellent location. We stayed in July and there was plenty to do in the area. Great home to stretch out in with a large group

Perfect Home for a large family
Property was beautiful with a great kitchen large enough for 5 moms! House was spacious enough with room enough for 10 adults. Well kept, fully equipped, nice patio, hot tub. Flowers on the patio were a nice touch and we loved watching the hummingbirds drink from the feeder. Very peaceful and relaxing!
