About this apartment rental
Enjoy the view of Riverside Park, the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge in our well laid out Upper West Side studio. This is the perfect location for professional, educators, retirees, and grandparents visiting and working in NYC. We are located 2 blocks from Broadway and the 96th St Subway express stop [2 stops to 45th St/Time Square]. Bus stops one block away Well laid out modern studio with separate living and sleeping space. Doorman and elevator building.
The neighbor is safe and quite; only 2 blocks from all of the restaurants, groceries, and shops on Broadway, 3 blocks from Amsterdam. You can get anywhere on the NYC bus and subway system – there are 3 bus lines within 1 block and the express subway station is 2 blocks on Broadway.
Riverside Park is across street which offers great walking/jogging/biking paths, clay tennis courts, and a pool during the summer. Conveniently located close to Columbia University.
The building has very friendly 24 hour doorman, elevators, nice clean laundry room. The layout of the studio is nice because there is a separate area for the living room and the bed. Our unit was recently converted to condos so everything is new.
Queen bed and fold out (full bed) couch provides separate sleeping and living space including 2 large closets, cable TV, high speed-wireless, all new appliances, linens, fully equipped top-of-the-line kitchen (sub-zero refrigerator, Miele stainless steel gas cook tops and ovens, dishwasher), thermostat controlled heat and air conditioning, and heated bathroom floor.

Very comfortable studio apartment!

I stayed here while I was looking for an apartment as I was moving to NYC, and it was pretty perfect. Small but very functional, a great view, the people in the building are nice and so are the doormen and office staff. I loved having the park on one side and being just a block and a half from the subway on the other. A great grocery store is close by, and like almost anyplace in NYC, there were restaurants nearby too. It felt really quiet and neighborhood-y, all while being two subway stops away from Times Square.
The owners were super responsive. Honestly, it was a pretty perfect stay.

Loved staying in this compact but perfectly appointed studio, located on the 8th floor with a glorious view of the George Washington Bridge and Riverside Park below. Leslie and Jeff have thought of every need for an easy stay, and the community in the building made the experience especially welcoming and easy. I hope to come back frequently, making this my NYC home away from home.

Great stay - comfortable well equipped studio apartment, well located in secure building
Pleasant views from the apartment looking north over Riverside Park to the Hudson River. During our 8 weeks sojourn, we found the studio ideal for our needs - well equipped with comfortable bed, chairs & divan, dining table, desk & side tables; fast reliable WIFI; kitchen with necessary appliances and a good bathroom; storage space too - amazing functional fit out! The apartment is located close to the subway and buses, as well as Riverside and Central Parks; appealing cafes and restaurants abound. Our host Leslie (Sasha) is most thoughtful & considerate and prompt regarding queries.

Wonderful studio near Riverside Park
Although a small space, this cleverly designed studio with tons of storage space and a compact European-style is located in a perfect NYC location across the street from Riverside Park and a few blocks from the 1,2, and 3 subway. The apartment had everything we could need from lots of hangers, extra sheets and towels, and kitchen supplies. It was a great home base for us as we visited our children and grandchildren.

Super Upper West Side Studio Apartment
We had a lovely stay at this perfectly appointed studio apartment on the Upper West side. The building was perfectly located for our visit. Check-in and check-out was easy. There is a parking garage right across the street where we were able to park our car.
Thank you Leslie and Jeff for a great stay! We hope we can visit again soon!

Excellent NYC studio for short or extended stays
This is a quiet, well-appointed studio in a well-run building on the Upper West Side, minutes from Riverside Park and the 96th street subway stop. The Park works well for running or walking; and there's easy access to the Hudson River walk. The unit is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished and supplied. It is within easy walking distance of all the stores one might need on Broadway, including very good grocery stores. It's also an easy walk to Central Park. The kitchen is highly functional, and the layout creates a small, but useful sitting area. The computer desk/bookshelf unit is perfect for work. Leslie Marsee is an excellent communicator and everything was as advertised. The building staff is friendly and helpful. I would certainly return and/or recommend it to a friend. Perfect for a trip to New York, if a studio apartment works for you.

Great location and comfortable for extended stay
The studio is in a well kept elevator building with 24 hour doorman service. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. There is a view of Riverside Park, the Hudson River and, in the distance, the GW bridge. It is about a 2 block walk to the #1,2 and 3 subways which allows you to get pretty much wherever you want easily. There are numerous restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk and many others within a 15 minute walk or a short subway ride. The studio is nicely decorated and should you have any additional needs or questions the owner is very responsive. This is our second winter stay at this apartment and if our budget allows it it will be our choice for next year as well.

Home away from home
I was in NYC for a few weeks on business and this apartment was my oasis away from the chaos. It is steps from the water and beautiful Riverside Park. Close to the 123 and tons of restaurants as well. The team of doormen at this building are top notch and really helped to make my arrival / departure effortless. Highly recommended.

Fantastic base for your New York adventure
This was our first use of VRBO, so naturally we were a little uncertain initially about how the process worked. Everything turned out just fine and we were totally satisfied with our month in this great studio apartment.
Leslie was very helpful, timely and thoughtful in all her communications before the booking and on the couple of occasions we contacted her during our stay.
The apartment was exactly as described, clean, very well maintained, good TV, great stove top, comfy queen bed and an excellent shower/bath. A copy of the New York Times delivered to the door daily was a real bonus.
The safe and quiet location is excellent, 2 minutes away from a relaxing stroll in Riverside Park. Less than a 5 minute walk to 96th St Station where you have access to both local and express services. Busy Times Square and the Theatre district is only 2 Express stops away, if that's your thing. You can walk east 5 blocks to Central Park or catch the frequent M96 crosstown bus (on 96th St) to Central Park West if you're in a hurry.
Local places we'd recommend highly are Barney Greengrass on 86th & Amsterdam for breakfast and Vai restaurant on Amsterdam near 81st for dinner. Three delicious dining options a little further afield are Marc Forgione in Tribeca, St Anselm in Williamsburg and Blue Ribbon Brasserie in SoHo. We also recommend City Rover Walks as a great way to deepen your understanding of different areas.
Finally a big THANK YOU to Leslie for providing a thoroughly reliable and trusting experience. We would not hesitate to return and we will highly recommend this apartment to our friends and family.

Perfect Oasis in the City
I spent the month of October in NYC pretending to live like a real New Yorker. It was everything I had hoped for thanks to this charming studio complete with view and the NYT delivered to the door every morning. Steps from Riverside Park if I wanted a morning walk and two blocks from Broadway and the subway, which I took almost everywhere. The neighborhood is quiet and accessible and I felt completely safe and at home in this wonderful apartment and building. Leslie was great to work, very responsive. She answered all of my questions quickly (which weren't many as her listing clearly spells it all out) and everything happened just as she said it would. Highly recommend. I would love, love, love to stay here again.

Amazing 5 weeks
Our stay was fantastic in every way. Leslie is thoughtful and meticulous, and from the moment we entered, we felt at home. Every convenience is available, including a shopping cart so you don't have to haul your groceries back! We had detailed instructions on how everything operated, so from laundry to trash disposal, everything was very simple. The first thing we noticed was that the apartment was much larger than it seems from the photos. There are wonderful books on art, sights, walks and eateries in New York, which you can browse though as you put your feet up in the comfy reclining chair, or actively study for ideas of new ways to experience New York. The closet is huge, and we could put our massive bags out of sight as we settled in for our 5-week stay. A comfortable bed and couch, many surfaces for work and play, and plentifully stocked with linen, towels, soap, detergents etc., this was our first experience with renting, and has made us fans of the site and of Leslie. She was prompt, courteous and helpful at all times, and was genuinely committed to our having a great time in the apartment and in New York. I will run out of words to praise the apartment and Leslie, and still not say how great it was! The location is ideal - 2 blocks from a subway station for express and local trains, steps away from the noise and hubbub of Broadway, in a calm, peaceful, residential oasis. The river breeze never let us feel the true extent of New York's heat or humidity, and the view was a joy at all times. Thoughtful touches like metro maps, opera guides, and torches added to our comfort. Leslie, I will be back to stay at your apartment in New York (and any other properties you might have anywhere else) again and again and again! I have already recommended this property to a whole bunch of people, and will continue to do so. A heartfelt thanks, Leslie, for a wonderful apartment and an amazing experience.

Quite Retreat
I spent a happy month in this small but very well equipped and very comfortable studio. It proved to a very quiet location but only a couple of blocks from all amenities including a major subway station and a crosstown and downtown bus. The landlords were hospitable and helpful. The wifi and airconditioning proved to be a real boon. I could heartily recommend this vacation rental for one person or a couple.

Better than advertised
My friend and I loved the apartment. The view was great and it was very comfortable. You could easily eat dinner in - the cooking area, though small, was adequate for a studio. We chose instead to eat at the many inexpensive restaurants along Broadway. With an express and local subway stop within a three minute walk, the apartment is in excellent field position for anyone who wants to tour the city. We had to leave early because of a medical problem, but I hope to be able to rent the apartment again in the future.

Great Home away from Home
We felt right at home the minute we walked through the door of this comfortable apartment partly because the Internet photos had captured all areas of the apartment and did so accurately. The location of the apartment building is safe and fantastic for public transportation and groceries and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and dinnerware. My husband especially liked the shower! Thanks to our attentive owners we would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to friends and family.

Definitely home away from home in the BIg Apple!
Thank you Leslie & Jeff for providing a cosy retreat for our stay in NYC. All the homely comforts are provided in this excellently located studio (including a wonderfully comfortable bed to collapse in after a busy day soaking up such a fabulous city). Only a couple of minutes to 96th Street subway and the wonderful selection of nearby eateries and shops. Great neighbourhood. We loved our walks in Riverside Park, in addition to being able to walk through Central Park to highlights such as The Met & Guggenheim. We appreciated your helpful and prompt responses to our queries. All in all a fantastic stay, if only Sydney and NYC were a little closer!! Thanks so much and we hope to be back again soon. What wonderful memories!!
