First time to take summer vacation in TN this year. We typically only go for a few nights. There is so much to do there, we had a full itinerary and also time to relax! Owl Pine gave us a beautiful view of mountains! Jim was great with communication and when we had an issue with the AC, he had a handyman come out right away. The hot tub was very relaxing. It was great to do laundry before we went home. Full kitchen with all cookware/necessities, but must bring all supplies for cooking including salt and pepper. Beds were comfortable and house was clean. The access to downtown or to get back to the bypass was easy. The access to the club pools were also great. We were able to see 3 bears during our stay! Be sure to lock your car! jim told us this, but we had one event where we went back out and forgot to lock it back! A bear got into our neighbor’s and our van. Thankful there wasn’t much damage, just a minor tear on the seat. The home needs some updates and TLC. The main level tv would freeze / buffer, but the basement tv worked okay. The lower deck is in great need of being stained/ cared for. There seems to have been an old water leak in the bathroom, as the floor around the toilet was warped. Overall, we’re very pleased with our stay. We chose this place for the view, and it did not disappoint! You can even see a bit of the sunrise peeping through the side trees! I would stay again!

We read the reviews before booking the cabin and although it said the cabin was dated, we were not prepared for what we would experience. The home was circa 1968 and it showed. When we arrived the air was set to 85 which is what the host expects the house to be left at between guests. The strong mildew and mold smell was awful. My son left with a terrible allergic cough. There were also numerous flies in the basement when we arrived. The decking outside was filthy and peeling. There were also several raised nails that were a safety hazard. The first day everybody wanted to leave but we didn’t want to lose the money we paid and didn’t know if we would find other accommodations last minute. The visitor log book had multiple requests for different things to be repaired. The home is in need of maintenance, deep cleaning and upgrading. We made the best of it considering the circumstances and still managed to have a good vacation because of all Gatlinburg has to offer and being together as a family. Every time we came back to the cabin after enjoying Gatlinburg for the day, we dreaded it because the mildew smell never fully left the home for the duration of our stay. On a positive note the beds were very comfortable and the view was amazing. We also saw bears and owls. The host was also very nice and sympathetic but he does not live in the area. The home needs an active local property manager to take care of issues.

We had a fabulous stay at Jim's cabin. He was very helpful leading up to our stay and answered any questions we had. The cabin is in a great area close to the national park with an amazing view. We even saw the neighborhood bear. The cabin is very clean and had everything we needed. We would stay again if we are ever in the area. The only thing to note for those looking to stay - the roads around the cabin are narrow and steep. The view is absolutely worth the drive but know what you are signing up for!

We enjoyed our stay in your chalet. The views are stunning! The kitchen is well stocked for any cooking. The beds were all comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were clean with ample towels. This was a first for us to stay in the west part of Gatlinburg. It is an easy access to the park.

This cabin is exactly what we were looking for for a relaxing weekend for our family. Pictures do not do that view justice, absolutley breathtaking! The pictures of the house are exactly what you can expect to see in the house. Perfect amount of space, very clean and the owner was extremely helpful with everything we could possibly need! Will definitely stay again! We had a great time!

The cabin was better than expected. So warm and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay. Jim sent lots of helpful information ahead of the trip so we were able to plan our days with some personal expertise. Really can't say enough how happy we were with everything. The beds were comfortable, all was clean, showers were hot and the hot tub was clean and easy to operate. We would love to return in the future.
