About this house rental
This beautiful log cabin was built in August of 2017 and was custom made by the Mennonites in Pennsylvania. We are in the perfect location, exactly halfway between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake and 8 minutes by car to each. The cabin has an open floor plan with the kitchen, dining room and living room all together with sloping high pine wood ceilings. There are three bedrooms, one with a king bed, the others with a queen and all with private full bathrooms plus a queen sleeper sofa for two in our media room. The inside is Adirondack themed through out with knotty pine wood and all new kitchen appliances. There is also a new "media room" in our lower level along with our third bedroom , bathroom and a new firepit outside. Note that we have 2 portable AC units plus the lower level usually stays very cool...
Plus a nice wrap around half deck for relaxing in the warmer weather. The view is looking out into a large field with views of Haystack Mountain and with a nice firepit as well. A peaceful and quiet area and with the owners close by, if needed. Hiking, paddling, shopping, restaurants and much more are all very near by.
Note that, while we are pet friendly, we have a strict 2 dogs limit!

Plus a nice wrap around half deck for relaxing in the warmer weather. The view is looking out into a large field with views of Haystack Mountain and with a nice firepit as well. A peaceful and quiet area and with the owners close by, if needed. Hiking, paddling, shopping, restaurants and much more are all very near by.

My family (husband, two kids, two dogs) & my in laws all stayed here, and we ABSOLUTELY loved it. It was really the most perfect location, in the middle of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid . We were very close to Aldi & close to Hannafords for grocery shopping. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The property manager and the property owners were great to deal with and they checked in with us when we got there to make sure all was good! This was probably the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed at! We will be back, for sure!

We had an amazing stay at Log Haven. This home is beautiful, spacious and very clean. The surrounding outdoor area was peaceful with a view of woods and mountains. The porch would be great in the warmer weather. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed as well as many extra towels and blankets. The location of the home is ideal for quick travel to Lake placid and Saranac area. I would definitely stay here again and as a pet owner being able to bring our dog was a bonus.

First of all, thank you for sharing this wondrous property. As others have said, the location is perfect! An added bonus was that it was close to our favorite sandwich shop. There was something for everyone...the 2-year-old loved running in the flat field and waking up early to look for "animals", and his dad enjoyed the conversations at the local 4-stooled bar down the road. After a day of hiking, or exploring Lake Placid, the 2-year-old wanted to go back to his "mountain home". The cabin was clean, spacious, and well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Rudy was a perfect host in that his communication was second to none. He answered inquiries promptly. Thanks again for making our trip to the mountains memorable. We hope to return!

This was in the perfect location. It is between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, providing great access to all the highlights of the area. It was secluded. It was very clean. It was much bigger than I was expected. It is a great size for a larger family gathering. We had 3 sets of couples in the family and it was perfect. There were two living room areas which was a nice surprise. Plenty of room to spread out. The fire pit was a great bonus as well. This house had more amenities than any other house we've rented in the past. Would stay here again for sure!

The cabin was perfect for the 6 of us. The location was perfect as well. The cabin is located between Lake Placid and Saranac. Literally a couple of miles either way and you are on a quaint Main Street with much to do.
Having the cabin as home base was wonderful. The cabin had everything we needed for fun family get away.

I stayed here for a long weekend to attend a nearby wedding. The location was great, in between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. The house itself was great with plenty of room for us all. The house was fully stocked with everything you could think of. The beds were super comfortable as well! The black flies outside were awful though - no fault of course of anyone's.

Not your ordinary log cabin - this is sparkling new! Has a great open floor plan, comfortable bedrooms & downstairs suite. Views across the huge field are amazing, starry nights around the firepit (with dry wood & kindling provided!). House is quiet & secluded from traffic, but a 5-minute walk from a food truck, brewery, playground, BBQ spot & pop-up taproom. Hiking trails to Saranac Six mountains nearby, and being between Saranac & Lake Placid was perfect for the non-hikers in our group.

The property is in a nice quiet location but a short 10 minute drive to Mirror Lake and Lake Placid. Close to a variety of hikes and Olympic sites. The house us well stocked and comfortable! The owner decorated it so well with mountain decor! We loved the huge field in front of the house watching deer and turkeys! Would definitely stay again if visiting the Adirondacks.

Amazing getaway
We had a wonderful stay and could not have asked for a better weekend away. The cabin was impeccably kept, well appointed and close to everything. Great escape and good communication
My family had a great stay at Log Haven. The home was very clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. Communication was great before and during the trip. No issues / no complaints. We would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Very close to Lake Placid too :)

The cleanest VRBO home I have stayed in so far!
Log Haven is an amazing home. It's privacy and peacefulness lends itself quite well to the ADK vibe. First of all, this was by far the CLEANEST home we've ever rented. It was immaculate. It has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. All parties agreed they loved the mattresses. The owners stocked the home nicely with everything you'd need for your visit. Wood is available for the fire pit if you want to fire one up. I didn't see any chairs for sitting around the fire pit, so bring a few portable camping chairs with you. The stars at night were amazing. We also brought our dog and there was plenty of space for him to run around and go for walks. The downstairs tv/rec room was fantastic. Plenty of chairs and couches for people to watch movies and relax. The house is warm, cozy and decorated stylishly. The water pressure was great (especially in the downstairs shower). It's only a few minutes by car to Main Street Lake Placid and we loved being nearby but not directly in town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Log Haven!

Great stay
My husband, twenty-something daughter and I had a great stay at Log Haven. The house was clean, spacious, attractive and comfy. It's super well situated between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, quiet and private where it's located, but accessible to both towns so it's easy to get whatever you need. And of course, the Adirondacks are fabulous -- beauty everywhere you go and lots to do. We found interesting activities even on rainy days; we recommend the Laboratory museum in Saranac Lake for anyone interested in a very intriguing local history.

This house was very comfortable and very well equipped. Very scenic and quiet surroundings and centrally located to all attractions. I would recommend staying there and might return myself. Agent and owner were very welcoming.

We had a fantastic week and the cabin is amazing. Clean, well appointed, very comfortable feel without feeling like you were in someone's home and intruding. We would love to return and had a fabulous time. You won't be disappointed!!

Christmas Week Getaway
This was an amazing property. Log Haven had all the amenities and comforts of home. Equivalent to staying at a 5 star resort! The photos of the interior really don't do it justice. You need to see it in person to truly appreciate it. We didn't want to leave and we are looking forward to returning in the future. The location was also perfect. Completely private home but convenient to all activities in the area. A real gem!

Love Log Haven and Lake Placid
We had a great experience with Log Haven. It is a beautiful new cabin and everything is pristine. The cabin was warm, clean and everything (towels, beds) were like a first class hotel. Now my family is asking why our home is so cold and drafty when the Log Haven was not! I have to stop taking them to nice places like Log Haven. Communication with the owner was excellent and he plowed the morning after the snow. But renters should realize that the road in could be be difficult to drive in snow/ice (like we had) if you don't have a good winter vehicle. We have all-wheel drive and were fine. We love Lake Placid! Second visit this year. Lots of great restaurants to choose from. We x-country skied at Cascades 2 days and had a blast. Definitely want to get back to the area soon and will rent Log Haven.

Family Vacation (hiking & zip lines)
The log cabin was perfect for a family get-together. We hiked, did zip lines and enjoyed some downtime and restaurants in the cute town of Lake Placid.
Morning coffee on the cabin's porch was peaceful, seeing wild turkeys and deer. A lot of reading was also done on the porch, in the late afternoon, and in the comfy basement area at night.
The house is new and covered in wood. The bedrooms and baths were all clean and comfortable.
The house is in a quiet location but only 10-15 minutes from most activities. We would stay there again!

The description is accurate. It is a beautifully built home. It was very very clean and a pleasure to stay. Loved the porch, we used the fire pit and the attention to detail in the home is noticeable. We met Derek the owner, he was also a pleasure. Great guy. GREAT Cabin to VISIT
This cabin is close to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, yet you feel like your away from it all. The cabin is very nice inside and out, it is decorated well and has everything you forgot to bring. The deck is nice for shade or sun and a nice breeze comes from the field. It was nice to open the windows and let the fresh air in. It was generally quiet and relaxing and comfortable. Took the dog for walks around the neighborhood. We went hiking in the area and there are many to do within a half hour drive. We liked Emma’s Creamery, The Big Slide Brewery and Swedish Hill Winery.

Cozy cabin with everything in place! We loved it!
From the moment you step in , be sure to take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh wood smell. The radiant heated floors and all perfect decor will make want to stay to enjoy it all. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of effort on the details, taking care all options and want to share this cozy cabin with you; very inviting. Owners are super friendly and shared a few fun local stories.
Secluded for privacy, yet just a short drive away from endless winter activities, we can’t wait to come back in the summer to expand our exploring experiences.
When the time to go comes, you will want to stay! At least we did!
