About this house rental

This cabin-like home is nestled in a hill beside a 250 foot waterfall that can vary from a calm flow to raging fall depending on recent rainfall. As the water cascades to the bottom it turns into a creek that wraps around the property. From the moment you walk in the front door, the focus of this home is the waterfall. If can be enjoyed from almost every room. The house is found at the end of a gravel drive off North Norton Road. It sits just above 3800 ft elevation providing perfect temperatures most of the summer, hence, no air conditioning, just lots of windows and sliding glass doors. There are no neighbors in sight, and while the house is in a private setting, it is still 15 minutes from Cashiers and close to fishing, boating and swimming in Lake Glenville.

If you tire of the waterfall (which I can't imagine), you can relax in front of the fireplace, television (one in the den and in two bedrooms), or just soak in the comfort of the old pine walls and hickory floors. The upstairs is the main living floor and has been renovated using both old and new materials. The owner has painstakingly removed all the original wood from the walls, planed and refinished it, and returned it to the walls. The master bedroom with its newly renovated bathroom is on this floor, as well as the kitchen with stainless appliances, hickory cabinets, and granite countertops. The laundry and a half bath are located beside the kitchen. The downstairs still maintains the character of the original walls, two bedrooms and a full bath.

We love the Waterfall house! It’s part of our spring tradition. The privacy, the beautiful location, the coziness,…. For us is the perfect place to escape. We will definitely be back again! 😁

Great property to stay to enjoy the outdoors with Family. Grandson loved the waterfall and creek. Enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the firepit by the creekside as well. Cabin had everything we needed. Upstairs and downstairs had great separation for two families to stay and have privacy.

Cant say enough great things. House very big all the bedrooms spacious. The waterfall is amazing day or night. Excellent escape for family or friends. HOST went out of the way to make out travel.and stay a breeze. You wont want to leave.

The cabin was immaculate, the deck beautiful, and the view amazing. The only downfall to our trip was I had broken my leg pror to my trip. The entrances to the bathrooms were not wheelchair accessible, too narrow! Other than that, I highly recommend!

Very awesome place. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Beautiful stone fireplace. We had a couple of days of rain, so the waterfall really showed off for us. Backing down the driveway was a little scary at first, but we got used to it! Would definitely recommend.

The waterfall setting for this house is absolutely amazing. It's better than it looks in pictures. We spent hours sitting beside the falls, having coffee, having drinks, talking, and sometimes just staring. The house itself is comfortable, clean and had everything we needed to cook good meals and have a great time.

The home was comfortable, clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. The grounds were lovely and the waterfall was so pretty and soothing. We had a wonderful time and ventured out to visit some of the surrounding waterfall. It was a great weekend!

STUNNING waterfall right out the window! This property is spectacular, and the cabin well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the large fireplace each night and relaxing on the deck listening to the waterfall. Location is convenient, not too far from Cashiers and Highlands. We plan on making this an annual trip!

The cabin's waterfall view was exquisite, so peaceful & mesmerizing! Communication with the owners was seamless, easy instructions & lots of helpful information regarding area attractions & restaurants. We can't wait to return for another "Reset Retreat"!

The description in the listing is very accurate. We spent most of our time on the deck listening and looking at the waterfall. The owners were very responsive to our questions. This was such a relaxing vacation. We drove into Cashiers and Highlands for shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. The towns are about 30 scenic minutes away. Be careful coming out of the driveway onto Norton Road because of the greenery. Thanks for letting us enjoy the home!

Sadly, we actually had to cancel our stay due to extreme weather. However, the owners were totally accommodating and helpful. We are excited about staying here in the future when one can actually get up the mountain.

This house was beyond amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and supplies. The living areas and bedrooms are large and roomy. The property was like stepping into a fairytale. The surrounding towns are all covid-19 compliant. Everyone happily wears a mask. It was a safe escape into a winter wonderland. Can't wait to go back.

The property is defined by the impressive, long waterfall right off of the rear deck. The pictures don't do it justice. The house is secluded, well built and nicely furnished, with a nice kitchen and adjoining family area with fireplace. We enjoyed the stay over a Thanksgiving weekend and would return.

My family and I were looking to get off the map for a few days after Christmas, and this house was just what we needed. When I booked the house awhile back, I had mentioned to my kids that the house was on a waterfall, but maybe that didn't really sink in because as soon as we walked up and looked through the front door, they got so excited. Make sure you have the checkin information with you before you head up, because cellular reception is poor there (perfect!) Right when you walk in you realize that this house is special. From the wood floors and walls to the skylights, the granite counters, and of course the views off the back balcony. The views are amazing, we loved how secluded we were. The drive up from Cashiers is interesting, but once you've done it a few times it was fine. You are fairly close to Sapphire Valley, a good place to take the kids skiing or tubing, and I'm sure many activities in the Summer. There are some cute towns, like Sylva, Franklin, Highlands and Brevard that are all within an hour's drive, and we actually trekked to both Cherokee and Gaitlinburg one day. I wouldn't recommend Gaitlinburg simply because theres so much traffic, but the drive was doable from the house. We had a great time, would love to maybe come back in the Summer. We have just returned from a week here during Thanksgiving. Love the location so close to Cashiers and Highlands. I did not get to visit all the waterfalls in the area but intend to go back to do this. The home is very spacious and clean. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner in a very well stocked kitchen and so enjoyed the waterfall views and sounds. The tv reception and WiFi was great. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with and did everything to make our trip comfortable. The check in was easy and he supplied all the information for the home and the surrounding area. Will definitely come back here again...Thanks Michael!!!

The pictures of the falls don’t do it justice. It is gorgeous! It was very cold but standing outside and listening to the water was so peaceful. The house is great, had everything we needed, very clean, and mattress was super comfy!

The setting was great. Interior of house was very good except no handrails in stairway and no safety bars in bathtubs. It was clean and well supplied with utensils and paper supplies.
