We had a wonderful stay at this great little cabin! It has a huge porch to enjoy the quiet mountain air, watch the wildlife and enjoy a soak in the hot tub. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. The hosts were available for any questions or concerns and went above and beyond. We hope to be staying again in the future!

This place was everything it claims and more. The views are absolutely stunning from the large windows and back deck. Not another home in site from that direction. My wife and I went looking for some Soul Nourishment, and we definitely went to the right place! So relaxing and comfortable. The hosts were amazing about letting us be, including when they brought us some supplies we lacked, and instead of coming in when we weren't there, left them on the front porch for us. I've been to a few VRBOs, in a couple of states, This one was absolutely the BEST, without contest! We will definitely stay again!

This place had everything you would need to never leave for the weekend. Great kitchen and very thoughtful about supplies and amenities. My wife loved the food for the squirrels. It was clean, well taken care of, in a quiet neighborhood, and overall a great stay. Will be back!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It was very clean, well stocked and the hosts were easy to communicate with. They were also very thoughtful and generous. The property was beautiful and very well maintained, as well as quiet. We enjoyed our stay so much we already booked for another stay in the summer. It is already one of our new favorite places to stay!!

Great cabin and excellent hosts! Very comfortable and well organized. These are great hosts who have thought of everything. I would recommend this VRBO!

Gorgeous property & excellent location, very thoughtful hosts, with the best of mother nature's beauty & serenity without feeling isolated or overly remote. I would say it exceeded all expectaions, but since we had visited it before, i will just say it would be nearly impossible to improve on anything whatsoever. Our only complaint is that we were only able to get away for 3 nights, caring for my 90 old mom less than 25 minutes away prevented a longer stay.
The Payson & Mogollon Rim area has thousands of lovely places for escaping to, but none are more deserving of serious consideration than this property is. The hosts and cabin helped make celebrating our 49th extra special, thank you both again.

Great cabin with comfortable beds, deck and hot tub. What more can you ask for? How about Abert's squirrels starring at you while fighting over dominance of the nut bowl. Great entertainment. (Nuts and Bird seed provided by hosts)

Mark and Tracy were the best of hosts. Their cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed to fee comfortable. We took a walk to the waterfall along Tonto Creek. It was beautiful! We loved watching the squirrels and birds eat their seeds and nuts in the morning. We would love to come back. We highly recommend this cabin. You will not be disappointed.

Had a very relaxing weekend in some cooler temperatures. House was in a great location and we just sat on the back deck watching birds and squirrels. Hot tub was great. Take note there is no Verizon service at the house, only wifi.

We love coming here and plan to stay yearly, at least with the family! The pines surrounding the cabin are so pretty, and the creek is fun to visit and so close by.

We really loved this cabin! The cabin and the surroundings were beautiful and cozy. There was great communication with the host. The host had a hand written note, homemade bread and homemade jam in the cabin waiting for us. They are features that don’t generally occur with VRBO homes. We would stay at this property again. Thank you for the accommodations.

We so enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cabin with a spectacular view. Spent time in the jacuzzi while watching the birds and squirrels eat the food that was put out for them. The weather was perfect and the cabin was gorgeous. The hosts made our trip so special when we arrived they had the lights on for us and also a loaf of fresh bread and jam waiting for us. My husband said it was the best tasting homemade bread he’s even eaten. We will definitely return to this cabin and have already told our friends about this cabin and they are also going to be booking this cabin as well. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much Mark and Trace for everything. God Bless Both of You!!!

The Tonto Creek Mountain Cabin is a unique, precious jewel that is clean, quiet and relaxing. Peaceful hours can be spent on the secluded back porch which offers plenty of crisp fresh air and daily watching of varied hummingbirds, wookpeckers, blue jays and other birds (all of which are identified in a book dutily prepared by our hosts) and inquisitive yet very friendly squirrels. Spectacular views of the Mogollon Rim nearly 2,000 feet above span the horizon and seem so close if feels you can reach out and touch the thousands of pines where we heard elk trumpeting off in the distance. We were welcomed graciously with a fresh loaf of homemade bread and berry compote which we enjoyed each morning while sitting on the porch. A waterfall at the Tonto Creek is a short ten to fifteen minute easy walk from the cabin and we spent many hours on the shore listening to the gentle and soothing sounds of the creek cascading over various levels, to be followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub on the back porch. We have stayed at the Tonto Creek Mountain Cabin multiple times... each time parking the car upon arrival and not moving it once until we departed. Everything you need for a lovely, relaxing and carefree stay is provided and we highly recommend this unique gem for your next get away.

From the owners, to the forrest ,to the amenities in the cabin, all are top notch...and I am very picky. If I go back to Payson I will stay here. Highly recommend you take a look at the place for your stay!

This cabin is top notch! The location is great for a quiet stay in the cool pines of Payson. Our hosts, Mark and Trace are very warm and responsive and they really take every step to make their place feel like your own home away from home.
Nothing could have gone better. We look forward to our next visit, perhaps in the winter time next year.

This cabin was super clean and cozy! The hot tub was nice and the hosts were amazing! They communicated great and had fresh home made bread and rose for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. We would love to go back in the winter to see the snow!

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at this cabin over Memorial Day weekend. The first thing that impressed us was the immaculate conditon of the home. The details in the construction of the home were stunning, from the tree trunks in the kitchen to the beams on the ceiling. We took advantage of the hot tub, enjoying the view of the squirrels, blue jays and woodpeckers. We were not fortunate enough to see any other wildlife but the view and all else made up for it. We loved the hiking trail close to the home and made a visit to the fish hatchery. The history of the area is impressive. Loved Landing 2 past Water Wheel Falls. Not as crowded. We took a drive to Tonto Natural Bridge but was late in the day and missed hiking down. There is a reg drip coffee pot and a nespresso. The pantry was stocked with many things, you may wish to check before you shop. The traffic coming in was heavy as it was a holiday but once in town it disappeared. Thank you for the homemade bread and jam! We will absolutely love to return! Viky and Jim

This place is fantastic. It checked all our boxes. The host were fantastic and easy to communicate with. The home was well stocked, cleaned and smelled great lol. King bed was super comfy!! The property backs up to the forest with forest access. Hiking is incredible. The creeks are so accessible and it wasn’t crazy busy. Of all the places we have stayed this one really was the best. The extra touches like early check-in, late check-out and superb cheesecake as a welcome gift were like the cherry on top. Thank you 🙏

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at this cabin. When we arrived the hosts had left us a fresh loaf of baked bread and had the hot tub ready for us on arrival. We’re very excited to come back and spend another weekend out here and we love the friendly squirrels and birds that surround the property!

Mark & Trace-
We can’t thank you enough for your lovely hospitality and allowing us to borrow your cabin for the weekend. Everything exceeded our expectations. Great communication from the beginning. Super sweet of the owners to drop off a little homemade treat for us to enjoy as well. This will go down as a very memorable time for us both!
We also enjoyed the furry friends that came to visit every morning.
The hot tub was perfect!! We had more than enough supplies, towels and kitchen utensils to make us feel at home. We truly appreciate your flexibly with our check in and out time.
The beds were super comfy and we had plenty of snuggly blankets to enjoyed the little fireplace at night together.
Thank you so much for everything. We will definitely keep this spot in mind for a future trip.
We would strongly recommend this cabin to our friends and family.

My family stayed at the cabin over Veterans Day. It was literally the cleanest VRBO property we had ever been to. The owners were lovely, even leaving us homemade cookies for our stay. The description of the property was accurate. It was quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was great. Squirrels on the back porch will eat peanuts from your hand. Would love to visit again. My favorite VRBO experience by far.
