Beach House featuring 7 bedrooms with additional game room and sleeping den is oceanfront on the Isle of Palms perfect to gather your family and friends together for a relaxing and affordable beach vacation! With beautiful Ocean and beach views, a large furnished screened porch, and 2 levels of open sundecks, this 4,022 sq ft home offers the space and convenience for up to 16 guests.
The main living area is on the first floor and consists of the kitchen, living room, dining room, and four guest bedrooms. The large, open kitchen features a built-in wall oven and microwave, side-by-side fridge, smooth 5 burner electric cooktop, 2 dishwashers, and granite counters. The huge center island offers plenty of meal preparation areas and accommodates 7 stools. It’s perfect to serve the kids snacks or meals. The dining room area, with its marvelous ocean view, has a table that seats 11. The living room is comfortable and airy and the wall-to-wall sliding glass doors offer views of the beach and ocean along with access to the screened porch. A TV/DVD will keep young and old entertained with their favorite programs. For entertaining, there is a full wet bar, with a granite counter, sink, full-size fridge, TV, and 3 bar stools.
The 1st bedroom located on the first floor is a sleeping den with 2 Twin beds and a full hall bath with a shower. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, is oceanfront, and features a TV/VCR/DVD. It offers handicapped accessibility to the screened porch and hallway handicapped bath which is equipped with a granite top, roll-under sink, and tiled shower stall with a grab bar, bench seat, and handheld shower. Bedroom 3 with a Queen bed, TV/DVD, and a shared Jack n Jill bath with tub/shower. The game room is also bedroom #4 and includes a Queen Murphy bed with TV/DVD, and a card table with 4 chairs. It shares the Jack n Jill bath. The laundry is conveniently located in the hallway.

In lieu of a security deposit, a Damage Protection Policy is added to protect you up to $3,000.00 of damages during your stay.
Travel Insurance:
East Islands Rentals offers travel insurance to all of its guests through Rental Guardian. Rental Guardian's specialty is the Vacation Rental Industry. Travel Insurance covers you in the occurrence of a possible natural disaster threat to our area, medical emergencies, loss of a family member, loss of a job, etc. The cost is about 7% of your rental cost plus taxes and fees. Please email for the exact cost. It is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance through the Management Company. Once a reservation is made the Management Company can add the Rental Guardian policy to your reservation.

This home was in no condition to be rented out, much less during a tropical storm/category 1 hurricane. The living room ceiling started to leak extensively Monday night into Tuesday morning, and within hours the living room was no longer habitable. I had placed buckets and bowls to capture the streaming water from the upper floor in at least 4 different locations. Water was even streaming (not trickling) off the fan light in the middle of the living room. I called to report this immediately to the agency, but did not receive any word back for several hours. There was an emergency with your property and the phone number provided for “24/7 emergency” was unreachable. It was early in the morning and it took me close to 3 hours for someone to call me back. Given the extent of the leaks, this was clearly not the first time this has happened and patch work was definitely present on the ceiling.Not only did we have to move a family of 16 into a different home, we lost an entire day to relocating, my parents ended up leaving 3 days sooner (had to refund their tickets) due to lack of handicapped accessibility in the second home. I had initially booked the first home with an elevator, limited stairs, and within walking feet of the beach so my father could have easy accessibility. Our trip was cut short with our family and my parents. I appreciate the rental agency helping to find us a home, but had there not been a family who didn’t show up to claim this home, we'd have had to fend for ourselves. When it became apparent that Isle of Palms would be affected by hurricane Debby, there was no proactive outreach from the rental agency about preparations, or even instruction to install the storm shutters, which would have protected the front screens from blowing out during the storm. The wood around the windows was decayed to the extent that the windows would not seal, and this became exacerbated during the storm due to the rain and win

The house needs a lot of updating and repairs. The rails on the porch and stairs are rotted. The elevator did not work and originally they told me they would hav to wait unit Thursday until I said I specifically rented this property because it had an elevator for my 94-year-old dad. The did fix it to the first floor but not to the second floor. There is a window in the kitchen that will not close all the way causing the house to stay hot. The screen porch had some holes in the screen and rotted wood. The location of the house is great but for the price we paid I feel we should have had a more updated home.

As with every year we had a great time in this beach house. It has everything that we need and is so comfortable. East Island Realty is awesome and so easy to deal with. I highly recommend there company even if you rent a different house.The tide is coming up very high - dunes have washed away - however that does not detract from the awesome beach when the tide is out.

Great location —oceanfront home w million dollar views. Lots of bedrooms and plenty of seating for large family gatherings. Although this property is not completely updated, it had all the conveniences we needed! We felt comfortable having all the grandchildren playing either inside or outside on the screened in porch!

We stayed in this rental for a mini-family reunion. We chose it because we needed an elevator for grandma and it was right on the water. The house was in a beautiful location and was large enough for everyone to spread out. We did not use the Murphy bed so I can not comment on its comfort but the bedrooms were all satisfactory (nothing too impressive to comment on). The outside deck is lovely for eating meals while enjoying the breeze and ocean. We cooked many meals and the house had the typical rental kitchen supplies. The cooktop vent is not operational. The outside grill worked well and had plenty of propane. Parking is plentiful. The house was clean. However, this house is clearly a rental and needs repairs and updates. The ceiling has many water-damaged areas, there is lots of wood rot and peeling paint, the carpet upstairs has seen better days, and much of the outdoor lighting doesn't work. The primary bedroom shower is in need of repair. The door doesn't close (someone added velcro to the shower door in an attempt to "fix" this but it doesn't hold the door close) and the tile floor seems to have been repaired by coating the tile with some type of plaster but it is all peeling up. The wood walkway to the ocean is sketchy; if you don't want splinters, wear shoes. Overall, we enjoyed the house but wish it was better maintained.

This was our fist year at this property, and everyone in the group kept talking about "next year." The property was beautifully situated, with fantastic views from the balcony in the master suite. Comfortable accommodations and bedrooms, well stocked kitchen for preparing meals, and plenty of space for everyone to stretch out on the porches and decks. The boardwalk leading from the house to the beach had a few loose/broken boards, but considering that is the only complaint 16 adults had the entire weekend, we are definitely planning on returning!

Perfect house for our group with its screened in porch. Practically a private beach. There has been some beach erosion which made it a challenge for the “older” people in our group to step down or get back up unassisted. A few steps or a ramp would help tremendously.

The location is perfect and the property fit our needs perfectly. This is not a 5-star hotel so, once you get past the rust the charm is really nice. The prior reviews were spot on. The rooms layout gave us plenty of space to spread out. The covered porch was awesome to hang out on. The kids found rusty nail heads and loose rails on the deck we just avoided. The management was responsive. The beach views and access were amazing. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Family reunion.
Great location. Right on beach. Wonderful sitting on deck in evening watching waves. The house was right next to public access but beach never was too crowded. The kitchen was stocked with everything. There was plenty of room for our group of 15. Only minor annoyances were many burned out ceiling bulbs and the trash cans were overfilled upon our arrival and swarming with flies.

Beautiful home, just what we needed!
We stayed in this home for a girl's weekend with 13 girls and there was plenty of room to spread out and relax! The view from the home can't be beat. While it's a bit outdated, it's perfect for some necessary time away. I would definitely stay here again!

Over all this house was a good fit for our family. There were just a few minor issues. The backdoor to the grill area would only stay shut if you locked it. Also a toilet seat was broken in one of the bathrooms. I do have some suggestions in the kitchen. It would be nice to have two coffee pots and also more glasses and forks. These are all minor things that can be easily fixed, and I would definitely stay here again. Our family had a wonderful time there! We have a lot of family in Charleston (my husband is from there) but with a large family we are spread out across the country. So it is great to have a place where we could all come together for Thanksgiving.

The location of this property is awesome. The beach is steps away and the view from the whole house is oceanfront. The house has an enormous amount of room. The property does have some maintenance issues. Broken kitchen windows that will not stay closed if the wind is blowing due to broken latches. The master upstairs shower door will not stay closed. The downstairs queen bedroom had a few rat droppings on the carpet and evidence of a nest in TV cabinet. There was a lot of trash on side of the house. Several porch railings have fallen off and are laying on the ground.

We just love this house and hope to return many times in the future. There are a few issues that should be addressed.
1. Ceiling is living room leaked at the same places it leaked last year
2.Ice dispenser did not work
3. Coffee maker quit working after three days
4. One of the microwave ovens did not work
5. Door to the deck is very sticky

Nice but in need of repair and updating
Nice house but in need of repair and updates. The ceiling in the main living space had water marks from prior leaking. We had a tropical storm while we were there and had to put pots and pans under several places while the water came in. I called to report this and someone came to look at this and took pictures but nothing was done. The railing on the back steps and one of the slats on the back porch was loose. The entire railing across the back deck to the left was loose and could have been a problem if someone leaned too hard on it. I had to call to have them repaired as I had young children and my 91 year old Dad with me and these were a safety issue. I feel for the price of the rental these types of issues should be addresses prior to arrival. The main air conditioning unit was not working properly and I had to call to have it repaired it. It was a minor repair but again another call for a repair.

The setting on the ocean was wonderful. The house was plenty roomy for our family. Drawbacks: It needs some serious updating in decor and cleanliness. Rusty areas created issues for us. The gate off the back deck had broken rails which was problematic when you have little ones. The house was missing its kitchen smoke detector and the garbage disposal was on the fritz. I do complement the maintenance crew who came right away regarding these last two issues. The cushions on the couches were not real comfortable. The back porch area needed to be cleaned significantly and there were holes in the screens. We had fun with our family and as I said before the location was great. The house just needs work.
