There was plenty of space for our group of eight adults and 5 small children. The back yard was a great place to play and hang out with the hot tub there. The kitchen and pantry have everything you could possibly need except, oddly, spatulas. There was plenty of extra bedding and towels. The view out the front windows was amazing! It was a great place to stay.

This property met out needs very nicely. The design and craftsmanship of the home was much appreciated by all. Trampoline and playlet in the yard were thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. Loved the luxury of heated bathroom floors. The kitchen was very well equipt and a pleasure to cook in. Great location and view.

we had some difficulty getting the code for the house key lock box, but mostly it was our electronics with charging issues and not being savvy on the workings of smart phones. the house was in great shape when we arrived, and had plenty of room. fantastic view of waterterways and ships.

The house had everything we needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms are good size, common areas like LR Kitchen yard are spacious. They had enough towels and beddings for our big group. Location is in a quiet neighborhood with a view of the water.

Alder Street Retreat was the perfect place for our 12 person, all womens group retreat. We came together from all over Washington. We had the best time. I cooked all of our meals over four days. Kitchen was perfectly stocked. Everyone slept great. And we enjoyed the space for yoga and crafting. Pictures dont do it justice!
100% recommend!

Located close to port Angeles activities and Victoria B.C. ferry - this home was perfect for us. Kitchen was stocked with just about every appliance needed for the two major meals we prepared for ourselves and the living and dining areas were very comfortable and good for holiday activities. Hiking trails in the Olympic National Park were a short walk away (We loved the Living Forest Nature Trail and the Peabody Creek Trail - both start from the Visitor Center). Hurricane Ridge Rd is close by. We did indeed wish we lived here by the end of our stay.

What a wonderful place to stay for our three families with young children! The views and backyard were better than advertised, the house was clean, spacious, very well stocked, kid friendly, and convenient location for where we wanted to go (Hurricane Ridge)!

I can not say enough nice things about this home! We were 4 couples on a hiking trip to Olympic. This home is centrally located to everything we did and very close to town. But the main thing is the beauty of this home with the sweeping views of the ocean. The home was so well equipped compared to many other rental homes we've had. It was like we moved into a friend's home. The family who owns it must be very generous and trusting! Soooo many nice things--well stocked kitchen, soap and shampoo in bathrooms (WITH HEATED FLOORS!), laundry detergent--we couldn't ask for more! The great room was comfy and perfect for gathering--with a Yamaha piano, no less! The backyard had fun for all ages--delightful patio, garden, swings, trampoline. The property managers were easy to communicate with although we had no problems. I would HIGHLY recommend this rental!

Spacious, clean, well equipped house for our small group of 6. The house can accommodate a lot more. The “L-shaped” open floor plan with well lit floor to ceiling glass felt more like a resort than home. Afternoon hot tub was a major plus, as was the basement media room. Prompt communication with the property manager was appreciated. The covered carport around back offered plenty of space for cars. Logistically you’re a short drive to downtown, a Safeway grocery store and literally around the corner from the drive to Mount Angeles area within the National Park. Our group felt spoiled, can’t image staying in a local hotel after this experience… I’m trying to recall objective comments or areas of improvement - the only thing that comes to mind is changing the springs on the trampoline, they’re well worn.

With a convenient location and a spectacular view, the Retreat makes a great HQ for any visit to Olympic National Park. The home is spacious, clean and thoughtfully presented; it was incredibly comfy for our group of six and the property manager was great with which to work. We loved it!
ONP day hiking was lovely! Marmot Pass…Buckhorn Mtn…Mt Townsend…Badger Valley to Grand Valley…the Hoh Rainforest…and Grand Valkey to Elk Mtn…each offers different terrain and views for miles.
Plus, there’s PA itself. We enjoyed Buena Luz Bakery (OMG, the scones!); NW Coffee Country; Bean Me Up; Bella Italia; and Spruce.

The house layout was perfect for our entire family.Large well stocked kitchen, pantry, bathrooms and laundry room. The large backyard with fort, swing set & trampoline was great for the kids. Stunning views from the kitchen and den were amazing. The layout gave several families plenty of room and privacy. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

This was our second time booking the Alder house and it won’t be the last. It works perfectly for our family get togethers with 7 adults and 3 kids (5-7 years old). We are finding lots of interesting things to do in and near Port Angeles for kids, families and adults.

The house was perfect for us. We had 6 adults and 3 children. There was plenty of room in the house. The outside area was wonderful. The kids could play out there and the adults could relax on the patio or in the hot tub. The house was extremely well equipped and it has a very thoughtful layout which accommodated everyone. The view from the house (you can see Canada) was great and we often saw deer in the neighborhood. It is extremely close to any services in Port Angeles and was very close to the entrance to Olympic National Park. We would definitely stay here again if we return.

From the moment we entered the Alder House we felt completely at home! Gigi, our property manager, made sure everything was in order with easy to understand instructions and had even decorated for Christmas! Every bedroom and bathroom was tidy and comfortable. The great room and open kitchen were fabulous with amazing views of the Strait, harbor and even Victoria on clear days! The hot tub was an added bonus.
We would absolutely stay here again when in Port Angeles. The best VRBO experience EVER!!

This property has it all. We had a group of 9, which included two families with adult children. There were tons of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked with literally everything. We had contacted Gigi that we didn't see a toaster and she immediately dropped one off. Everything was super clean and so inviting. We also enjoyed sitting on the back patio, which had a wonderful landscape and gardens. The views from the kitchen, dining and upstairs living area were amazing looking over the port. It was so beautiful at night as well viewing the lights over the city and port. Gigi was a wonderful property manager and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend guests staying at the Alder Street Retreat!

This house was all it said it was and more! The views were breath taking from the living room and kitchen each day. It had plenty of kitchen supplies for our 10 family members including my toddler and 5 year olds. There were also lots of things to entertain my kids including games, puzzles, a rocking horse, and of course the back yard play set and trampoline. We enjoyed a movie or two with the surround sound TV in the living room. All the beds were clean and comfortable. Well stocked with bathroom and laundry supplies. Easy to communicate with the property manager. Such a great place for exploring the Olympic area. Would highly recommend it to anyone!
