We were so fortunate to stay at this very comfortable, fun and beautifully laid out home on the Coast of Oaxaca. Casa de los Suenos was perfectly situated on the beach where we went on early morning and evening Sunset walks...The architecture of the house is a blend of traditional Mexican open living with modern playful resort vibe. The Palapa was a wonderful open space to eat and work with views of the pool and the ocean beyond...The pool is great for kids and adults alike with sunken dining area, various levels, and jacuzzi. The property stretches lazily towards the beach allowing for hammock time and viewing the clean waves. We were very appreciative with the caretakers of the property as they were attentive and a pleasure. The location of this house was very convenient as we were able to be in Zicatela Beach in Puerto Escondido within 20 minutes to the North and the beautiful little Oyster village of Agua Blanca to the South. We felt very safe thanks to our Guard and the neighbors. We even had a family drink at the Resort next door...All in all it was a trip that we will never forget and we can't wait to go back to Casa De Los Suenos !!

We stayed at Casa De Los Suenos for five days in January. We had only heard about the beaches of Puerto Escondido but never visited, although we have traveled all over Mexico -- from Baha, Mexico City, the Yucatan, Oaxaca (city), and now here. The beach in front of the house is among the most beautiful we have ever experienced. It goes for miles and even during the "high season" it was mostly empty, except for squadrons of pelicans dive bombing for their meals in the ocean. I'd originally searched for hotels in the town itself but quickly learned the beauty of Puerto Escondido is that it's not vastly developed for tourism like Cancun or other places. No chain hotels. Renting a house on the beach is the way to go. My husband and I stayed at the Casa with our 22-year-old daughter and elderly mother (88). The house included a staff of three (we paid extra for groceries and the cook -- at $50 per day for three meals it was inexpensive.) Gloria was an excellent chef: she provided a varied menu based on our preferences. The bedrooms and bathrooms of the house were spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning in each bedroom was essential (not all houses offer this; at night mosquitos come out.) The pool and common areas were lovely, all overlooking the beach. Bonus was a small resort next door for cocktails and meals if desired. House manager was attentive & helpful. Could not recommend this house more. FYI renting a car is essential in this area. Can't wait to get back!

We had a wonderful time at this incredible home. Hoping we can make it back someday! The house was kept extremely clean. Gloria and Crescencio took great care of us, and Francisca cooked us delicious food every day. Communication throughout the booking process and leading up to our stay was excellent thanks to the owners of the home and Edith, the property manager in Puerto Escondido.
Overall, so, so lovely.

We loved returning to the unspoiled, uncrowded beaches and sparkling warm waters of Costa Cùmana and Casa Sueños where Gloria and Cresencio made us feel right at home. See our review from last year and repeat-- plus add new AC in the 3rd bedroom. Wifi is still a little weak, but it just makes you want to relax a little more! Thank you Linne!

The property was just perfect and met all of our expectations of the fun-relaxing-spa weekend we had in mind. The staff was amazing with us, and the property manager made sure we had everything in the house on time for our arrival. The lovely Sra. Francisca, kept our bellies the happiest with her delicious meals and drinks. Plus, the three bedrooms have such beautiful views and have separate AC’s. The kitchen and dining/bar are outdoor areas by the pool and only a few steps from the beach. The beach was clean and not crowded at all, great for a short morning walk/run. Definitely a stay we would all recommend!

Our one week stay at Casa Suenos was amazing. The gorgeous house is very will taken care of by the onsite couple, Gloria and Crecencio. The house manager, Edith, was easy to communicate with and arranged a cook for the week. The cook, Francisca was awesome. We had her prepare breakfast and lunch everyday. The fresh coconut flan was a highlight. The house is right on the beach and so peaceful with sounds of the waves crashing.

We've already booked our return
Puerto Escondido is a lovely sleepy surf town and Casa de los Sueños is a sanctuary within a paradise. This was our second trip to Puerto Escondido and we are in love with Casa de los Sueños. Edith, the house manager, is wonderful, efficient, and super helpful. She helped procure an occasional cook, excursions for our adult children, and even replacement glasses for my husband. Gloria and Chencho are the wonderful, on-site caretakers for the property. They maintain it exquisitely and couldn't be more kind and caring. It was a pleasure seeing them each day. The pool is beautiful and the beach and ocean is perfect for swimming and boogie boarding. Small markets nearby sell fresh produce, protein, and cervezas. We really enjoy the area, people, wildlife (so many beautiful birds!), and the house. Thank you Linne for sharing your beautiful paradise with us. We look forward to returning next year.

We loved our stay at the house at Costa Cumana. The beach is great and there were never very many people on it. We were fortunate that the ocean was swimmable the whole time we were there in late February but I understand that is not always the case.
The caretakers Gloria and Cresencio and the concierge Edith were all very helpful and attended to anything we needed. Cresencio and Gloria kept the pool and the house immaculate.
We really like the town of Puerto Escondido including the Mercado Benito Juarez where we most of our marketing for produce, meat and fish. There is also a market above Zicatela beach called Zicatela Mercado, I think it is relatively new as I don't recall it from previous visits to the area. The restaurants facing west toward the water including Don Claudia are quite good.
Hopefully these won't be needed for much longer but you can get rapid tests done for travel back to the US at Labratorio San Francisco in PE for $17.50 usd per person .
My whole family highly recommends this house we have stayed in many VRBOs all over.

Working From Away: A Month of Sunsets
You cannot beat the view: the warm Pacific glitters across the horizon as you enter this open, architectural home. Make your way to the shoreline & you can walk for miles along the clean, white white sandy beach & see only shells, sea turtles, whales &dolphins along the way. The waves are mesmerizing: at times big enough to pipeline & thunder, at others, just enough to make boogie boarding & body surfing fun. The sparkling pool offers a welcome respite from the heat of the day. The house itself is spacious with one building dedicated to living & the other to sleeping, where there are lots of windows, fans in every room, & A/C in all but one bedroom. Much of the furniture is built in, & there are built ins in the office & master walk-in closet. The good-size master bath is open to the ocean (no glass or screens in the windows) but still affords privacy. The kitchen, while not large, is well enough equipped for those who like to cook, & the laundry facilities are very good. (You may want to ask which appliances will be in service as supply chain issues prevented repairs to the dishwasher & refrigerator filtering system for our visit.) Cresencio and Gloria, who live in a separate bungalow on the property, are amazing & ready to help in any way with cleaning (including safe veggie prep), cooking (thank you for all that pico de gallo!), lighting the BBQ, suggesting where to get the best produce, even pointing out the passing mom & baby whales, the sea turtle laying eggs on the beach or the hatchlings making their first trip to the sea. Just let them know what you need & tip accordingly. The property manager Edith scheduled massages at the house for us & can arrange for a chef, although there are so many great restaurants within 30 minutes, from luxe Almoraduz (mouthwatering) in PE to tasty local spots like Tistal, Fish Shack, & Dona Claudia's & De Marco at Zicatela Market. If you'll be staying longer than 4-5 days, rent a car from Tres Reyes in Zicatela because taxis to Puerto can run $25-30 each way, & take trips to Agua Blanca & Mazunte. Jose (EscondidoTravelTours) arranged for us to see the bioluminescence at Chachahua (we also saw at the house in the sand one night) & to go whale watching (dozens of dolphins were a joyous sight). Digital nomads (& movie streamers) be warned: the internet is limited and can go out, and cell service quality can vary. In the end though, those 30 breathtaking sunsets made it all worth it!

Case De Los Suenos in Puerto Escondido-My Family's "GO TO' Vacation Stay
The prpoerty. location and staff deserve a rating of 11+ on a scale of 1-10. This si my second holiday with my children and grandchildren at Sasa De Los Suenos and we already told the owner we will be returning next February for 2 + weeks. The picures do not do it justice (althogh the pics are great). Walk right from the luxurious house and outdoor space directly into the pool, or gazebo, or large whirpool bath big enough for 4 or more adults and our 7 and 3 year old grandkids. Then a short (200 meters) directly to the ocean, without taking any up or down steps. And that's just the start. Crescensio and his lovely wife, Gloria, are their for your every need and Gloria makes truly spetacular guacamole and quesidillas on demand. The manager, Biance, also will arrange for a chef, virtually on demand, an we enjoyed every meal, to the lost bite. Casa De Los Suenos is a "keeper!!!"

Perfect week on the beach
The house is beautiful and kept immaculate by the on site housekeepers Gloria and Chrisensio. We spent most days on the property taking long walks on the beach in the morning, reading and lounging under the umbrella, swimming in the freshwater pool and watching the sunset and the local fisherman net fishing for bait fish in the evenings.Blanca the concierge cooked delicious for us several nights—her tomatillo enchiladas are to die for. This house is a perfect beach vacation location.

Heavenly Family Vacation in Puerto Escondido
The Rubin family from NYC just spent 10 glorious days and nights at Casa De los Suenos in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, MX. The house was absolutely perfect for my family, which included my wife and I, our daughter, son-in-law and our 6 year old grandson and 19 month old granddaughter. The open space leads right out to the very large pool (perfect for the kids and adults) and then literally steps to the beach and the Pacific Ocean. Linne's staff, Gloria and her husband Cresencio, were right on the property but never in the way. They kept the house, pool and grounds in excellent condition and we loved Gloria's guacamole, a daily treat that we would never pass up. The layout of the house, with all the amenities, was perfect for my family and we plan on returning next year. Casa de los Suenos is a "keeper." And I must not forget to thank Blanca, the property manager, who arranged for a wonderful chef for several nights as well as a 5 hour boat and snorkel trip that was memorable. Within minutes of embarking, we encountered two enormous humpback whales, that thrilled and delighted my grandson and was very exciting for me as well, given how close we were. Puerto Escondido is wonderful and Casa de los Suenos, about 15 minutes from town, on its private beach, was pure pleasure. The Rubin family are very "happy campers." We recommend the property to all. As a perk, we also were there for the february "supermoon" which was spetacular. What a spot to be standing inches from the Pacific, toes in the water, watching the supermoon rise in all its glory.
Thanks, Linne

Great house and perfect peaceful location on the beach. Staff was professional and very kind.
Owner Linne and manager Blanca always helpful and making sure we were having a good time.

An amazing vacation
Casa de los Suenos was absolutely wonderful for our family vacation It's a stunning property ... big, bright, and spacious, located on an incredible stretch of beach. Our family especially loved having the private pool to ourselves, and the design of the pool (and surrounding area) was our favorite feature of the house -- wonderful!
Booking with Linne was easy -- she was very responsive and helpful. The two onsite caretakers (Gloria and Crescencio) were always helping and working hard, but remained unobtrusive throughout our stay. They're wonderful people, and it's obvious that the property is very well maintained and cared for.
The neighborhood where the house is located is about 20 minutes outside of Puerto Escondido -- close enough that it was convenient, but far enough that it was like a private, exclusive retreat away from the hustle and bustle of town. And the big, beautiful beach in front of the house is wonderful. We walked the beach and swam daily, and hardly saw anyone. Amazing!
2.5
Fantastic Property!
My wife and I and a couple of members of our extended family spent Christmas week at this amazing property!
As mentioned in other reviews, the beach is perfect--it's long, wide with very few other people around, even though you're in a community with several other homes. So, incredible privacy is part of the draw here.
The truth is that we didn't go into the ocean all that much because the pool is gorgeous and large with different levels/shelves on which to lounge. We especially loved the dining table surrounded by the pool although the formal dining table under the palapa is gorgeous. And, of course, we took long walks on the beach splashing in the surf.
The house itself is beautifully designed and has a very peaceful energy to it.
The on-site staff is wonderful, very caring and attentive.
We were also impressed with Puerto Escondido.
There are some really delightful restaurants and different areas to visit including the local produce market, which is fascinating.
We look forward to our next visit.

PERFECT HOUSE IN A PERFECT SETTING
My wife, my two teenage sons and I spent a spectacular week at this exquisite house in June. As beautiful as the photos are, the house surpasses them in person. Also, I know that the beach where the house is located is technically a public beach, but we saw very few other people on our beach walks. Also, there is plenty to do if you feel like venturing out. We went for surf lessons one day at a beach called La Punta—great for beginners. There are some very nice restaurants in town, but we had a lot of meals at home because it’s just such a beautiful place to be. Highly recommend!

The perfect beach vacation!
Casa de los sueños is definitely the house of my dreams. This house is gorgeously designed and thoughtfully appointed. But, above all, it is very luxe and comfortable and right on the beach.
The beach really is your backyard. My wife and I took long sunrise and sunset walks on the pristine beach and barely saw other people. I didn't know that places like this still exist in the world outside of the most exotic locales.
The staff is attentive without being intrusive.
All in all, one of the most fantastic vacations I've ever had. Highly recommend.

WOW!
WOW! What a great home in a great location. And, the support on many levels of care was fantastic. We had a few out of the ordinary special requests and they were eagerly and well handled. If needed there was full 24/7 but the privacy was excellent. If you want to feel like you have a big beautiful beach and home to yourself this is it. There is an excellent kitchen, and if you’d like to have a chef they’ve got that too. A short distance away there are a number of places we enjoyed, Puerto Escondido, Zicatella beach shops and eateries, and more. MUCHAS GRACIAS!

Beautiful Beach Home
We had a great vacation at Casa De Los Suenos! Mauricio, Crescencio and Gloria were fabulous and everything was immaculate. The location is extremely peaceful. There are wonderful sunsets and marine life to be seen right from the house. Getting to town was a breeze and we really has a great time both at this wonderful home and in town. We ate at some great restaurants and had fun deep sea fishing. Everyone was extremely friendly and we truly enjoyed our stay here. Thanks for a great relaxing time!

Week in Paradise
Oh My Gosh how do you review a week in paradise? This is a beautiful home in a beautiful place in the world. It really was a perfect vacation. Each day spent with a combination of lounging in the pool, swimming in the ocean and being pampered. We had a small team to take care of any and all of our needs. The nearby town is fun to explore and everyone we meet was extremely friendly. I would gladly go back, in fact we had a hard time leaving. The owners were excellent hosts making sure everything was set for us. Can not recommend this spot on earth enough.

Architectural Gem
We just spent a week at Casa de los Suenos, and I can’t say enough glowing things about this property! I’m an architect and my wife is a designer, and we were very impressed with the function, design and beauty of this house. We shared the house with another couple who work in IT, and it was very comfortable for the four of us.
Whether you look at the house from a form following function perspective or from a feng shui perspective, the house is very serene and pleasing. And the location and setting are absolutely stunning.
I was particularly impressed with the pool and the various spaces within the pool to lounge and to swim.
The staff was very gracious and proactive in anticipating our needs.
We can’t wait to go back for our next visit!

Exquisite Home in Paradise
We just spent 10 days in paradise! My husband and I and our teenage son felt very well taken care of by the staff, who are tireless. They live on the grounds in a separate little house and somehow managed to be there when we needed them but were unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy.
And then there’s the beach. It stretches for miles in both directions and is essentially private. We took long walks at sunrise and sunset almost every day—a really glorious experience.
And for our 15 year-old son, the surfing at La Punta was the main attraction. La Punta is about a 10-minute drive from Casa de los Suenos, and it’s a beautiful protected cove beach with palapa restaurants. And most importantly for him, daily surf lessons with excellent instructors.
As to the house itself, it’s flawlessly gorgeous with perfect details and finishings. I’m an interior designer, and I got a lot of inspiration from our stay in this beautifully thought-out house.
The owner was very responsive during the booking process and available to promptly respond to any questions we had. There is also a property manager who visited every other day to make sure that we had everything we needed, and the on-site couple who maintain the property were endlessly patient with us.
Highly recommend! We will be back.

Spectacular Vacation
My husband and I and another couple spent New Year’s week at the amazing Casa de los Sueños and had the time of our lives! With the beach at our doorstep, we fell asleep every night to the sound of the ocean. This house features cool modern design and is impeccably maintained. Crescencio and Gloria catered to our every whim, including cocktails on the beach. We went into town a few times for dinner, and it was a lot of fun. But most nights, we just stayed home because of the magic of the beach and the setting and one of the most gorgeous homes I’ve ever seen. It was fun to fantasize that it was our house—who knows, maybe someday.

Luxurious Holiday
We stayed at Casa De Los Suenos for Christmas week. When we arrived we were immediately amazed at how beautiful the property was. It is exactly as represented by the pictures. The house is open, modern and spacious. The pool is wonderfully designed with many different areas to hang out in, and various depths for all ages. The Palapa is large and accommodating. The Beach is steps away and practically deserted in both directions. The staff is attentive and keeps the place spotless. It is so peaceful and private we seldom wanted to venture out other than to get a meal in town. It was like being at our own 5 star resort. We would definitely return in the future.

Unspoiled luxury
First of all, Casa de los Suenos manages to be both luxurious and unspoiled. You feel like you are at a Four Seasons in Bali for fraction of the price. I'm loathe to tell too many people about this incredible getaway, but it's just too amazing not to share.

Relájese en paraíso...
My husband and I have just returned from 2 weeks at Casa De Los Suenos and we are counting the days to our return. From the welcoming and personalized greeting we received from the Manager and Casa Employees to the first glimpse of our vacation home was amazing. For the first 2 days I could not tear my eyes from the ocean. Our first night at sunset we saw whales "ballenas" breeching as the sun kissed the sea. We saw them each and every day after that as well as dolphins, manta ray, turtles and numerous types of fish. Each morning we sat in our beach chairs sipping hot coffee watching the sun rise, and each night gazing West ~Martinis in hand to see the most amazing sunsets. The home is so incredibly maintained, each and everyday the pool is meticulous and sparkling and the house seems to always be spotless, you could bounce pennies off of the beds...perfection. The drive into Puerto Escondidos was a bit more difficult that it was in 2011 when we visited, but we soon figured it out. We chose to drive in every 2-3 days for supplies, we love going to the fresh Mercado and shopping for fresh fish, vegetables and flowers...12 Gladiolas for less than $4 american! The beach walks we took were endless, you can walk for hours on the shore and see maybe 2-3 others enjoying the bliss of privacy and quiet. This home has taught us a lesson in relaxing, and after a very short time after our arrival we relearned the lost art of exhaling...
