Mollie from Manhattan- We loved it! I can't wait to come back again. Thanks so much for your hospitality. I thought it was great - close to Portland, lots of lakes, great that the water is just a few steps away. I've already recommended to several friends.
Dagny, Don and Bathsheba from Barbados- My husband and I took a decade long dream come true fishing trip with his two sons at this lovely cottage. Very clean and comfortable, charming and accommodating hosts. We can't wait to return and bring the wives and grandkids.
Anna from MA- We had a great time thank you. If we go on vacation next year, we would like to stay again. I will keep the address in my save box.
Mike from RI- Thanks. We had a great time at the cottage. The area is beautiful and the cottage was perfect. Thankfully, we had great weather. Hopefully we'll be up again next year.
Dayna from MA- Just wanted to let you know that we had a good time over the weekend...exactly what we needed. The cottage was great. We hope to make another trip back sometime.
Laurie from MA at Christmas- Our family of four enjoyed the beautiful lake location and enjoyed the warmth on the piney wood on the inside. Our winter vacation allowed days of jammies and tea as well as local excursion incuding tubing, ice skating, antiquing and museum hopping. It was delightful to be able to cook great meals and enjoy the luxury of the wilderness.
The three bedroom cottage can hold up to six people. The cottage has several amenities you may not find at all vacation rentals. In the fall, the region is known for wonderful fall foliage. Hunters visit to hunt for various game such as deer and turkey. In the winter, vacationers come for the snow for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing.
The cottage is a 30 minute drive to Pleasant Mountain, 40 minute drive to Oxford Casino, 45 minute drive to Lost Valley, 45 minute drive to the ocean and an hour drive to Sunday River Mountain. Guests loved the cozy cabin, peaceful location, and helpful host. The clean, well-equipped cottage provided a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
5.0
The location is beautiful and peaceful and within the vicinity of a variety of fun attractions. The cabin was nice, clean, and well furnished. Kyle really went above and beyond accommodating us during our stay. He provided a lot of helpful information, not only about the property itself, but the surrounding area. He clearly communicated everything and gave us advance notice if he needed to visit the property for any reason, such as maintenance work. I cannot recommend this property enough.

This cabin was everything we wanted! Ots down the crooked river, about a 4t minute boat ride from the sand bar at the tip of the songo. We stayed with our two doga and 2 12 yr olds! The location to town couldnt have been better! The games and tvs made the canin cozy, the beds were super comfortable and all the extra blankets you could need were provided! It was just a fantastic stay!

Had a great stay despite our boat refusing to start so that was a bummer. Had to order the part. Nice clean cabin. So peaceful on the Crooked River. Very nice helpful host. Would book again.

Great stay, everything was as described in the VRBO description. Record breaking heat but plenty of fans to cool the place down! Nice to have access to the state park beach on those hot days. Kyle was great, he was at the property when we arrived and explained everything. One night a storm knocked the electric out and he called to make sure we were ok. Highly recommend if you want a remote Maine cabin but close to a lot of activities and restaurants.

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin is great, the location is beautiful and so peaceful and Kyle is a wonderful host. I would definitely want to stay there again on my next trip to Maine.

Kyle was helpful and easy to commit with, his wife was very pleasant as we met her at checkin. The weather was cool and damp but had plenty of time by the fire and dock. It had new stairs and hand rails, easy to get on and off. Cabin was comfy and all the utilities were on point.
Going to do it again!

It is a lovely cabin on the river. Being a bit past prime summer, it was probably quieter than usual which was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely keep it in mind for the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking to "get away".

Good overall experience.

We had a nice time. Kyle provided helpful information prior to our stay and we felt fully informed of the cabin's amenities & area. Fun spot. Would love to return in the summer season to really take advantage of what the cabin and area have to offer.(visited during early fall).

What a great place to spend time with family and friends.
4.0
Lovely, quiet spot. Owner was very accommodating. Loved having the amenities needed for onsite cooking. We couldn't use the canoe and kayak, as they were very heavy to lift, and the stairs going down to the dock were very rickety (sorry). River water really isn't a place you would swim (deep and murky). Overall, we had a great stay, though. We did a crossword puzzle on the porch while enjoying our coffee and the view of the river. Plenty to do. Went to Oxford casino, shopped at the local markets, and farm stands (amazing tomatoes and corn). We had two rainy days, and that was fine; we went to the flea markets, and thrift stores, on those days. The point sebago lake park was great...clean water, a snack bar, and bathrooms. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

The cabin was very cozy. It was warm and inviting. The porch was really comfortable and allowed us to enjoy nature even when it was raining. Love the fire pit! Great location, sitting by the water was so relaxing. Really beautiful area. We had a great time.
Kyle was helpful and things were clearly marked in the cabin, so that was helpful.
The second floor bedrooms were a little difficult to get to (we are a group of people over 55)--steep, narrow staircases, but if you're young and spry this won't be a problem.
I recommend this vacation cottage!

I was impressed that there were 3 bedrooms on a cabin this size and it was awesome for me and my two adult children. We had a wonderful time. Cooking lobsters and playing trivial pursuit was the best! Property we very clean and very well stocked
Would highly recommend it!!

We enjoyed this great cabin during our stay! It was quiet and peaceful! Loved to have coffee on the screened in porch and watch the river go by! The best way to start our day! We'd come back again in a minute!

Picturesque snowfall right before we got there! sorry we couldn’t take advantage of the summer activities in the area but the cabin was cozy and clean. Many hikes and state parks a short drive away, dog friendly!
2 of the bedrooms are up steep or spiral stairs which the kid loved. Comfortable beds.

We spent Thanksgiving in this cozy little cabin. Near the entrance to Sebago Lake State Park with hiking and great lake views. Cabin sits on the banks of the Crooked River in a quiet neighborhood of similar camps. Thanks to the Rhoads family for hosting us!

We enjoyed the cottage and views of the river. On a rainy day, we decided to just stay in, relax and soak up the warmth of the property inside and the beauty of nature outside. This is a peaceful respite from the hectic world.

Excellent experience from start to finish. You can’t beat how much you can enjoy from the location to everything inside. Owner was a pleasure to work with.

I spent many summers in the 80s in lakeside camps with my family. When looking for a property to stay in we didn’t want new construction with the latest and greatest features. Kyle’s camp delivered exactly what we wanted. Nicely located on the Crooked River, the camp had all the charm and character of the camps I remember as a child. We used the camp as a base to visit Sebago State Park, climb nearby Mt. Cutler, spend the day in Acadia National Park, and shop and dine in Portland and Freeport. It’s really a great location. Kyle showed genuine concern that we enjoy our stay and was an excellent host. If we’re in the area again we’d be happy to stay here again. We’d recommend the camp and host to anyone looking for the authentic Maine “camp” experience.

Was impressed with how clean the cottage was! Loved the whole feeling of the cabin. The stairs to the two upstairs rooms was a little bit of a challenge with my old lady knees but the beds were sooooo comfortable and we loved every minute of our time there. Will definitely want to come back next year!

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The yard felt very private and the river frontage was great for kayaking, we did a 7 mile round trip paddle to Sebago Lake. Location was a short drive to Rt. 302 and an easy drive to Naples. Lots a great outdoor activities are located nearby. Great place for a Maine vacation!

A perfect location from which to explore the Sabego/Long Lake/Brandy Pond area. Kitchen and equipment were in good working order.
We enjoyed hiking the Sebago state park trails and the easy drive to explore Portland. Two golf courses, Highland CC and Sebago, are nearby.
We'll stay with Kyle again!
