Kamaole Sands #5-414 is a breathtakingly beautiful penthouse suite with a gorgeous ocean view! Our condo is located in the desirable building #5 in the heart of the richly manicured tropical oasis of Kamaole Sands located across from Kamaole Beach Park III -- one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. This unit has it all - stunning views of the ocean, lush gardens, and the Haleakala volcano. The open concept floor plan gives the feeling of spaciousness and openness while having the ability to sleep up to four people.
Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation.

The trendy grey ceramic tile with the “wood-look” throughout the unit gives a classic, clean, beachy feel. The powerful split level air-conditioning throughout the condo will keep you comfortable even on the hottest of days. This unit is tastefully decorated from top to bottom, with absolutely gorgeous furniture throughout. The dedicated parking spot close to the elevator makes getting your luggage to the unit a breeze.
The well-appointed kitchen in Kamaole Sands #5-414 features beautiful granite countertops, stone backsplash, along with all necessary cookware and utensils for those nights you decide to eat in. There is even a full-sized wine cooler which holds up to 80 bottles of wine for those evenings sitting out on the lanai sipping a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the Pacific.
All three televisions (entertainment area as well as each bedroom) have “smart” technology which has access to cable and Netflix with hundreds of viewing choices for family nights. A Rio queen sleeper sofa, custom drapery, and ambient lighting in the valance over the patio door framing the ocean view sets the mood for a tropical evening in paradise.
In the loft, the master bedroom features a beautiful solid oak entertainment center and bed ensemble. The Sealy California King pillow-top along with luxury linens and bedding will ensure a comfortable night’s sleep before the day’s adventures. The en suite bathroom with travertine tile has a shower/tub combination with plenty of counter space.
The main-floor second bedroom is perfect for both kids and adults alike, with two Lake Thai firm XL twin beds. There is a separate split air unit in this room which allows for individualized temperature control. There is an adjacent bathroom with customized travertine tile and an in-unit washer & dryer just outside the door. Additional sleeping for 2 is available in the living room with a pullout Queen Sofabed.

There are 15 acres of lush tropical landscaping, waterscapes, and fountains. There is a large pool, two hot tubs, a toddler pool, 10 barbecue areas and tennis courts. It offers 2 pickleball courts; paddles are available for rent and quiet pickleballs are available at no charge. Kamaole Sands is centrally located and is in walking distance to shops, restaurants and activities. Note: A $300 refundable security deposit is required for this unit.

This was our first visit to Maui. Kamaole Sands was a perfect place to call home while we were visiting. The location allowed us to walk to great restaurants and beaches. We explored the whole island but also like to spend days close to the condo so we could have beach time in the morning and pool time in the afternoon. The condo was clean, comfortable and convenient to stay in while we enjoyed the paradise of Maui. Construction was in progress on the buildings near us but we were never bothered with any noise.

The property was beautiful, easy access to the beach across the street, nice amenities, and plentiful parking. The condo was nicely decorated, well furnished, surprisingly spacious for the square feet and the AC was amazing. Kihei a great location to use as a home base to explore the wonders of Maui. Would stay here again.

My family of four loved our stay at Kamaole Sands. The property is beautiful, the pool wasn’t overcrowded during our spring break visit, and it was only an 8 min walk from door to sand to our favorite beach, Kam III. The rental is well stocked with towels (for beach and pool), beach supplies, plenty of extra linens, and everything we needed in the kitchen. There was a pack n play, if you have a baby (the listing didn’t mention it). The aC units do have their exhaust on the back patio, but we found we could turn them off to enjoy the patio before we needed them for bed. Would 100% stay at this family friendly complex again.

Awesome! The Condo met all of our expectations. The view was excellent, as advertised, and I would likely be back there to stay if given another opportunity.The only thing I could think of being a little annoying was the location of the air conditioning exhaust location - right on the balcony! Too bad it couldn't be aimed toward the outside wall outward instead. We didn't use the TV as there were no local or national network stations programmed to it. Other than that, Excellent!

This condo was very well maintained. Quiet property, no noise through the walls. Well outfitted kitchen, with in-suite laundry. We appreciated the beach chairs, coolers and snorkle gear available in this unit. The only thing missing was the pickle ball rackets (courts on site with rentals available). The bed linens were top notch and the towels generous and good quality. While we did have a good supply of Dishwasher & laundry soap tabs, it would have been a positive to not have to buy toilet paper given our 11 night stay. That being said, we enjoyed our stay emensly and we'd be happy to book this condo again.

Our family of 4 spent Christmas at Kam Sands and it was our 5th time at the resort and first one in this unit. The unit was spotless and complete with everything you could possibly need. The view from the deck was wonderful both during sunrise and sunset. This building was set back from the busy Kihei road and made the traffic noise non existent, The location within Kihei is great for walking to restaurants, groceries or to the beach. Do not hesitate to book this beautiful property for your next visit to Maui. We won’t!

This nicely updated unit is located in the rear of the Kamaole Sands complex near the pool and still has a nice ocean view. 3 air conditioners make the unit more comfortable than others we’ve stayed in. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys provided but no boogie boards. Take one/leave one wine concept is fun. Would recommend providing a few more dishwasher detergent tabs, laundry detergent pods, and hand soap as all were lacking for normal use over our stay. Great unit and we would definitely hook again.

This condo was clean and comfortable. We had no issues while we were there. The AC worked well. Nothing broke. The only thing that may have been nice is if it had Netflix available but hey we were in Hawaii, there were plenty of other things to do! The kitchen had what we needed to cook a couple of times. It was nice having 2 bathrooms as we had 2 teenagers with us. This afternoon sun beats directly into this condo so I do suggest leaving the drapes closed when you leave for the afternoon.

This condo was spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorating and conveniently located to beach! The checkin process was easy and the 24-hour desk was a huge help when our flight ran late. There were plenty of amenities to the Kamaole Sands resort. My only complaint was that with one pool, the chairs get packed. Arrive early. Would recommend for families!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and well kept, and the location is amazing!
We were a little surprised that the main bedroom was a loft in the living room, rather than a separate bedroom. This would have been nice to know as part of the listing, as it makes it a little awkward if some of the party wants to stay up while others go to bed. Overall it probably wouldn’t have changed our minds to stay here though. It really is a beautiful property!

Amazing complex. It has all the amenities plus the beach just across the street. Check in was a snap.. Unit was incredible with ocean view. We especially like eating out on the lanai and catching the sunset. Would definitely come back as soon as we have a chance.

This unit was perfect for our family. Two adults and a teenage daughter and her friend. The unit was very comfortable and fully stocked and in a great location. The only downside was it was warm on the balcony when the air-conditioning was running because of the exhaust and mid day when it was warm and the girls were hanging out upstairs, we really did need the air-conditioning. However I would certainly stay here again. The management team was very responsive to a couple questions/concerns we had. The view from the lanai having my morning coffee was so relaxing; I could’ve stayed much much longer. The beach directly across the street is small and good for boogie boarding. We typically drove to the Wailea beaches (and took a nice morning walk down that way as well).

Wonderful Trip to Maui
Solid location with vicinity to different beaches, food, shopping, etc. We explored the island during our stay, so the location was perfect for us. If looking to walk outside onto a resort style beach, need to look elsewhere. But this was literally across the street from a beach park, just a bit rocky. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for my family of 4.

Location was great!
We would definitely stay at this location again! The only reason I gave it 3 starts for cleanliness is the floors and showers were not clean. When we were checking out, I looked under the beds to make sure we didn’t leave anything and it was very dirty with socks and wrappers left by other guests. The master bedroom shower has hair on the tubb and there wasn’t enough pillows for 6 guests.

I was very particular in finding a property for our family vacation in Maui, and this property was perfect for us! The location was wonderful, very close to various beaches. An easy walk through the beautifully maintained, lush grounds, to the beach, cute restaurants, and shops. A 5 minute drive to other beaches. Across the street from our snorkel to Molokini excursion. The condo was spotless, very nicely decorated, had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and very clean and organized. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The unit was also super quiet. It was lovely waking up to singing birds in the morning, and having a cup of coffee overlooking the ocean. They did have 4 beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas and other various items for the beach and beach towels. It was hot and humid, the A/C worked great. We followed the easy instructions and it worked perfectly. We did call the property manager regarding a construction truck parking in our designated spot, they answered on the first ring and immediately took care of it. Very easily resolved. We also enjoyed the tennis court and pool. We really could not have asked for a better property or unit, it was perfect! We hope to return in the future!

Family Time
This was my husband and and my 5th visit to Maui. We’ve stayed at Kamaole Sands before and knew that our daughter and grandkids would love it and they did!! Next time though we would like a main floor condo so kids can run in the grass early morning but the views from the 4th floor were beautiful!
