Everything at the Pack 'o Cards was superb. Beautiful large room with very large comfy bed and all beautifully decorated and very very clean. Very impressed indeed. Lovely terrace restaurant and great food both dinner and breakfast. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to stay again.
Nothing to dislike.

Location for walking coast path was excellent and we were warmly greeted on arrival when the owner made sure our room was well heated for us. The Sunday carvery was excellent value for money and the roast belly pork was superb. After a really good nights sleep we had a delicious breakfast.
Nothing really

Plenty of choice for breakfast and tasted delicious. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Beautiful view from the dining room of the trees and river exe. Recommended Local taxi firm were great and sorted our late trip back with no bother.
Room was a little chilly when we got back from our friends wedding but heating came on in the morning so was nice and toasty when we woke up.

My Mum and I were staying as we needed to visit a family member who was very ill who lives in the village. We had travelled over 200 miles.
Due to the high stress level of the day, my Mum was not feeling well. We asked if it would be possible to eat in our room. The young lady made it possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and we both said that the staff were super and we felt so welcome.
The food was excellent, and I, being a vegetarian, was so impressed with the bang kok burger, so full of flavours and a real change to what most places offer for vegetarian people.
Breakfast was also brilliant with so much on offer.
Well done to all the staff for making us welcome and helping in our sad situation.
If I have to find something to put for this section, then I would say that housekeeping needs to dust the skirting boards and just check behind things.
There was nothing major that would put me off of staying again.

Welcoming and friendly staff, fine breakfast served in a bright and pleasant dining room . Fair value for money
4 star and Superb rating creates an expectation that the property doesn’t quite meet. The bedroom decor is a little tired and old fashioned.

Food was superb, breakfast was plentiful and the two evening meals we had were gorgeous, well cooked and tasty. All staff where friendly and the room clean and comfortable, the mattress was a bit hard for us , but then you can't have it all.
Nothing, the room was priced fairly and the food was superb. It's a quirky B&B, you don't get to be that old with hout some minor issues, loved it, would definitely stay again.

Fascinating grade 2 star listed building, quite unique. Our room (the Pink) was large and attractive although the shower room was very compact.
Food was good and served in a garden room overlooking a delightful rear garden. The breakfasts were generous, The dining room and bar were busy - possibly because Combe Martin has little else to offer apart from the Pack O Cards
The 'large' double was a 5 foot queen and was a little tired.
Combe Martin is disappointing as a destination - few facilities and no buildings of note apart from the hotel. However you can reach the delightful and historic Lynton/Lynmouth in less than 30 minutes or reach the facilities and beaches of Ilfracombe and Wollacombe even quicker.

We stayed in a large, beautifully decorated room, with very comfortable bed, and large shower. There were lovely extra touches like videos to borrow, and tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. The hotel was very clean. The meals were served in the conservatory, overlooking a lovely beer garden. All the meals were very large and beautifully cooked. All the staff were very helpful. The hotel was very popular. The beach and local restaurants were also really nice, and busy, but not too crowded. We had a lovely stay.

Staff were fantastic, really friendly and super helpful accommodating an early key collection and directions with travel advice to a wedding we were attending nearby. Room was lovely, tastefully decorated with plenty of space and very clean. The bed was really comfortable, just what I needed after a long day celebrating.

Pub is pretty central in Combs Martin. It has a good range of local beers, a well tended garden and we had an excellent breakfast. It's great value.
Service was slow for our evening meal but fairly certain that was a glytch. Waitress was charming.

Evening meal.and breakfast were spot on. Really enjoyable food with great service.
If we had to be picky we'd rather have not had the droning extractor fan by our window and we're woken by the delivery early.

I will never stay at a hotel with more character than the Pack of Cards. If you need just a bed, a Premier Inn/motel place is all very well, but if you want to live, and have a bit of adventure you need to be checking out places like this. North Devon is full of quirky accommodation but this is peak North Devon character for me. Staff very natural and friendly, much like everybody else in Combe Martin which is locally known for friendliness.
I had dinner, ordering two quite luxury dishes on a very slow Monday night. Food was perfectly good but some of the bread seemed less than fresh. It was completely out of season and the venue is probably struggling along with everyone else so I'm actually happy to have got any food at all.
