Stayed with spouse and adult children. Roomy and convenient for 5 adults. Easy access to the water with our boat and the fish light off the canal was fun to watch at night.

We’ve stayed at numerous places within Key Colony for several years now. This was by far the cleanest and most well stocked of all. We loved the layout. The living room is spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The bait freezer was super handy and we loved being able to use the pressure washer for our boat. The proximity to the end of the canal is super convenient. Plenty of dockage for our 30’ boat. Kayaks were a plus that we enjoyed. I could go on and on about how much we loved this place and will be booking again soon for next year. Thank you so much.

This is our third time staying here. We stayed here in 2019 and 2020. The house has undergone some furnishing upgrades since then which is nice. This week long vacation included myself, my husband, and our 17 year old son, and our friends (a couple who are our age). We bring our boat (24’ CC) and launch at The Quay next to Island Fish Company. You now have to pay $25 to launch and/or retrieve your boat. Pay the fee. They have cameras and you will be fined $200 if you do not. The boat ramp gets busy as does the drive down because all rentals start on Saturday, but we have grown accustomed to it. Quick drive via boat to the house thru Vaca Cut and the dock is awesome to keep your boat at for the week. I wish we lived here. I would buy this house in a heartbeat I love it so much. We sit outside more than we sit inside. Rain or shine the tiki hut is our happy place. There is a fan, lights, and a TV. Best part is the view. We don’t use the TV because it is so beautiful here. We watch the boats go by, talk, eat, drink, watch the fish in the canal, etc.. We go snorkeling at Coffin Patch almost daily. We ventured to Looe Key twice this trip and it was worth it! Coffin Patch is a hidden gem- sea turtles, sting rays, eels, and so many fish! The canal at the house has a look down fish that is there religiously every night by the light, a manatee that came by several times during the week, and a HUGE nurse shark that swam by one night. Stay here, you won’t regret it! We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay, as house had everything we needed and centralized location but super quiet. Loved the Cabana Club (included with house) and went two days with lots of ocean time plus pool/drinks/lounging. Easy access to other keys and Key West, but plenty to do in immediate area as well. Really enjoyed Turtle Hospital, Dolphin Research Center and butterfly gardens in Key West. Wished we had seen manatees on the dock/pier but did see lots of fish and jellyfish - love the night lights in the water. ONLY drawback to house is the master bedroom gets super hot since only 1 vent and no return vent, but ceiling fan and extra fan provided helped some. Would definitely return when in the Keys!

Spacious and clean property. Well equipped kitchen. Kids enjoyed fishing and watching jellyfish off the dock - the nighttime underwater fish light was a nice touch. We didn't use the bikes but we used the provided kayaks most days, as well as the beach toys and such. We also went to Cabana club a few times during our stay - very close by, small but ample beach, nice heated pool, full restaurant menu/bar. Thought the overall location of the property was great for exploring the Keys. Nice quiet neighborhood - lots of people enjoying walks and bike rides throughout the day.

One of the best we’ve stayed at in our 30 years coming to the Keys. Kitchen is well stocked, tiki hut is perfect, and the location can’t be beat for easy boat access to the ocean or the bay. We hope to return regularly.

2nd stay here, and looking forward to a third trip in the future.
Great place, great location very much enjoyed our second stay at this location. All the comforts of home, very well equipped kitchen, awesome Weber 4 burner gas grill on the patio. Tiki hut and dock area, which is steps from the sliding doors, are also awesome. Property also offers use of kayaks, bicycles, fishing gear, beach accessories. Looking for a place in KCB / Marathon area, look no further. Traveling with a group, looking for additional space? VRBO 1306464 is the other side of this duplex, which the guests who rented that side seemed to be just as happy.

Super Home
This is a wonderful home stocked with all you will need for a great vacation. The kitchen has everything that you will need to cook any meal, the garage has any toy/tool you might need, and books, toys, pens, paper, games, you name it. Loved the fact that the house is updated and clean and loved. The kayak and the bikes are great, the location near tennis, golf, pickleball, beaches and the Cabana Club made our week here so relaxing and enjoyable. thank you!

Amazing property - everything you need
Home was very clean with everything you will need for your stay. We chose to make quite a few meals during our stay and the kitchen is well-equipped to say the least. Everything was top notch. Manatees at dock, fish cleaning station,, Weber grill,. We took our boat with us and driveway has some slope when parking empty trailer - just FYI to bring wheel chocks. Overall a great place to stay!

The home is well-situated in Key Colony Beach. The patio area is very nice and includes a Tiki Bar. The home is nicely furnished and the kitchen has everything you need. There were a couple of issues, but the property manager handled them quickly and professionally. We would stay here again.

COVID Family Holiday Get-Away Outdoors!
The house and Key Colony Beach are an absolute joy! Our parents along with our grown family of four enjoyed this property the week prior to Christmas. There was plenty of space for all of us, a well stocked kitchen, and seating for all. The tiki hut and patio were the big hit...such a nice spot to hang out all day! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Annual Key Colony Trip
Our family has visited the area for over 30 years. Actually owning a place for much of that time. This home was one of my favorites. The home was spacious and well thought out. If I could make one recommendation it would be to replace the bed pillows. The beds are very comfortable and I traveled with my own pillow thankfully. I would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect Vacation Rental
It doesn’t feel like a typical rental house, this place feels like home! It has everything you could possibly need in a warm and welcoming environment. Interior and exterior surroundings are very clean and well maintained. We were so happy and relaxed sitting under the tiki hut and looking over the canal. The dock was in great shape and perfect for our boat. We loved it here!!

Great Stay AGAIN!
We rented this property in June of 2019 and did so again this year and it was excellent again! Nothing disappoints here. The house is well appointed and in an excellent location for fishing/boating. We brought our boat again and launched at a different ramp this time because MM54 ramp was under construction (we found out when we pulled up!!). Great access to Vaca cut and beautiful waters. We took the boat out everyday- snorkeling at Coffin Patch DAILY. it never got old seeing all the fish, eels, lobster, rays, etc. We did see a large lemon shark in the canal and fished it several nights. The dock light provides endless fun at night. We sat and had coffee/breakfast each morning at the tiki hut and post-boating beers there each afternoon. I love this house and would love to live here! It was nice to get away after the keys opened to visitors during COVID. We didn’t eat out and cooked everything at the home. We also did not go anywhere other than to the store twice. This is the place to socially distance! We will be back next year for more fun!

Perfect place to trailer your, we’ll taken care of and the tiki bar area was the icing on the cake.
Property manager did not communicate with us at all, even regarding check in. We actually had to contact the owner directly who couldn’t have been any nicer. We will stay at this property again.

Relaxing vacation in KCB
We rented this home with friends of ours, so it was 4 adults and two, 12 year old boys. This house was perfect for us. Each adult couple had their own room and the boys shared the twin beds in the room off the living room. The house was clean and well appointed. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and eat in, which we did every night except our last night. We really enjoyed cooking breakfast and dinner and packing lunches for a day on the boat. We did bring our 23 foot center console. We put in at the public boat ramp at MM 54 next to Islamorada Fish company. Be aware it gets VERY BUSY on Friday and Saturday’s, as that is when every renter is putting in or taking their boats in/out. There were at least 50 people in line Friday around 5pm and Saturday at 9am. It was chaotic. We waited until late Friday to pull ours and had luck due to rains that came into the area. We snorkeled several days- at Sombrero and Coffin Patch. We loved Coffin Patch more, and if the mooring buoys are all taken, anchor in the sand- we had to do that bc it was very busy- but worth it. We loved sitting under the tiki hut each evening and watching the fish off the dock. We saw the nurse shark almost nightly. My son even caught his first fish off the dock (mango snapper!). This vacation was by far one my favorites! I snorkeled in some of the most beautiful waters, relaxed every day, and stayed in paradise. We will be back- hoping to make this a yearly trip!!! Thank you so much to the homeowners for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Keys getaway
Fantastic first experience at our first vacation rental. The home was immaculate and stocked with everything we could need. We will be highly recommending this house to our friends and have no need to look around for when we plan our next stay in the keys. Great location, great amenities, fantastic grill, tiki hut and dock space were awesome.

Best All-Around Rental with Fishing!
Loved this house! Canal access gave us fishing time, Tiki hut was super comfortable for enjoying morning coffee and evening drinks! Kitchen, bathrooms, and linen closet is better stocked than my own house! Garage filled with supplies for beach and a ton of bikes! Very comfortable for our family of 4 and grandparents. We must come back!!!

Relaxing, enjoyable and peaceful.
Home is very comfortable, modern, clean and well cared for. The home was exceptionally well furnished with everything you could possibly need right down to games on a cloudy day. This was our first trip the the Keys. Key Colony is more of a private, slow paced and quiet area of Marathon which is what we like. The property is a great location for kayaking on calm waters. There are three very good restaurants. Two are in walking distance. Having bikes is a nice plus. They were functional but need a little TLC if you want to leave the Key Colony area.

Christmas in the Keys
Our Family really enjoyed spending Christmas at KCB. This was our first time in the Keys and we loved it. The house has everything you need, we enjoyed bike rides, mornings and evenings on the patio, walks, Sunset Park and we really loved Inch Beach! Lots of restaurants close by we really enjoyed Havana Jacks right on the water and Live music during happy hour. I would recommend this home and we hope to go back to this area in the future. Thanks for sharing your home. Happy New Year!

Great vacation home with all the amenities
This was our 4th trip to KCB in the last two years and this by far was the best home. The owners have thought of everything. The kitchen was fantastic and well appointed. The location was a plus too with quick easy access to the ocean and gulf. The only suggestion would be to add a swim ladder. Kids loved swimming in the channel and used the boat ladder but a dock ladder would be nice. We will be back for sure!

Great Time at a Great Property!
Stayed at this property in May and this property exceeded all my expectations! What a great stay. Property has everything you need for a great stay. Super clean and very well stocked. Inch beach and Sunset park nearby was an added bonus. Definitely coming back to this property. A very big thank you to the owners of this property!!

Family Vacation for the Holidays
We had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays in KCB. The home has everything you could possibly need for a great time. You don't even have to bring beach towels. We were there with our son and granddaughter to celebrate with other family members staying in the area. The house was large enough so that everyone had their own space. Furniture and beds were comfortable and in good condition. My son complained about the sun coming into the middle bedroom very early in the morning even with the blinds closed. Very relaxing sitting on the canal watching the manatees, kayakers, paddleboards etc. Location is convenient to restaurants, beaches and stores. A little annoying that the speed limit is 25 MPH in KCB. The bicyclists and joggers were going faster than the cars! We took the bus w/o any problems to Key West for New Years Eve which was an experience to say the least. Lots of fun but exhausting! We never did get to use the pool at the Cabana Club , but did walk down to Inch beach. We didn't realize we had to bring our own chairs however, so I would suggest driving even though it wasn't too far. We rented a kayak for 24 hours which was delivered right to the house. All in all we had a great time. I would recommend this house for your next vacation...especially when it's freezing up north.

Absolutely Fabulous!
This property was everything they said it was and more. The photos and location listed on VRBO accurately portrays this home. The home was very clean and well maintained. Prior to booking this property I had questions and the owner was prompt on responding. During our time there the Key Colony pool was being updated so we were given a pass to another resort in the area – Gluntz – so we could use their pool. It was perfect and they even had a beach, hammocks, tables, and games on the beach that were available to us.
The beds were comfortable and the sheets and towels were superior. All the kitchen appliances and accessories were of good quality and plentiful; we had everything we needed. We also really enjoyed having bikes available to us. It was the perfect way to tour Key Colony and they had baskets on the front so we could carry our towels, water, and cameras easily. The Tiki Hut - just steps outside the back sliding-glass doors - was the perfect place to sit during storms or finish off the evening. The canal was clear and we saw a variety of fish including small sharks.
One thing I did not realize about going in September is quite a few of the smaller “mom and pop” restaurants closed because it is low season and they take their holiday. However, it was no problem because there is an abundance of great restaurants in the area – and of course Sparky’s was always open. Porky’s in Marathon and Shrimp Shack in Islamorada were two great unplanned wonderful finds! The location was perfect and we did many day trips to Islamorada and Key West.

Paradise!!!
From the moment we walked in, we felt at home and on vacation at the same time. We had a great time diving, fishing, catching lobster and snorkeling on both the ocean and bay side. Everything is so convenient to this location. We loved having breakfast and dinner under the Tiki Hut. The Perfect way to start and end the day! Thanks for sharing your home.

Great Place to Stay!!!
We just stayed for a week over Thanksgiving 2013. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. The location in the middle of the Florida Keys is perfect..It allows for quiet relaxation and down time while still being close enough for day trips south to Key West or north to Key Largo. We loved the fact that two of the bedrooms had king beds..as we were traveling with another couple. The owners have made their home very inviting and comfortable. We enjoyed the patio on the canal with a cup of coffee every morning and a cocktail every evening. If you are considering renting here....just do it....you won't regret it!!!! Also...Go to Sparky's, nearby..they have happy hour from 4-6 every night with 25 cent peel and eat shrimp and chicken wings...Awesome!!! We went every night after we found this place!!!

Life's great here
The house is just great, lovely situation and beautifully decorated with just about everything anyone could need for a relaxing stay. We made full use of the rods and reels, fishing both straight from the dock and from a boat we hired for a few days.
Key Colony Beach is a superb place, we travelled around quite a bit but didn't see anywhere in the Keys we would rather be staying. We found the atmosphere relaxed, safe and friendly and with such easy access to the water, the shops and restaurants of Marathon just up the road, added to the facilities right on your doorstep, it's no wonder everyone says "isn't life just great here".

Excellent House for Christmas Stay
We arranged the rental of this property by first contacting the owner and then the rental agent. Everything went very smoothly right from the start; we arrived late the first evening and had no problems getting established right away. The house was exactly as described (including all the photos) and my wife + 2 adult children were very pleased with everything.
The house is very comfortable, clean, and in a quiet area. The furniture + all accessories (TV, dishes, etc.) are of good quality and were used a lot by us as we had many meals there during our stay.I especially enjoyed the fridge with the icemaker as I love cold drinks in hot weather.
Sitting on the patio with the canal right there was a real pleasure. The house is extremely well supplied with all the amenities; the beds are all excellent. The BBQ and all patio chairs and lounges are perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the weather. When we return to the Keys for a future stay we will consider this property first.
