We enjoyed our stay. The host was very helpful. The apartment made you feel like you were in a truly Italian apartment. Great location for sightseeing, restaurants etc

Can't recommend this charming apartment enough. And Maria was wonderfully helpful and highly accessible which was a true help as I was traveling solo with my 6 year old. If I find myself back in Rome this would be my first choice of where to stay.
4.8
Clean apartment close to bus line that slept all five of us comfortably! There was even an extra bed I wasn’t expecting so my kids didn’t have to share! The only “problem” we had is that the shower doesn’t drain well so you have to stop the shower and wait for it to drain, but also a very old building! No big deal!
4.8
Wonderful neighborhood in walking distance of pretty much all of the major attractions and public transit is also available near by. The place itself is bigger in person and is outfitted with everything you might need. It has all the Roman charm you could want. I would urge any American traveler to let go of their american standards and embrace this gem of a place. Our stay was wonderful. The hostess is lovely and beyond accommodating and helpful. Many thanks, Mirella!

Wonderful home with a great owner

This was in a great location. Near the river and most sites are within easy walking distance.
There are plenty of places to eat or drink nearby and supermarkets at each end of the street.
Mirella, the host was lovely and very helpful. She even aranged for taxis to and from the airport.
There's lots of info from Mirella for places to eat or see and there are loads of tourist books in a number of languages.
The apartment itself was pleasant, a bit on the rustic side, but perfect for us.
It has a small private terrace where you can put a couple of chairs out.
The kitchen has a cooker, fridge, sink, stove top kettle and toaster with sandwich holders. Crockery and cutlery are provided.
The bathroom has a sink and shower (which worked ok) with adjoining toilet.
The building also has a rooftop terrace with a good view. You can take food up and eat there if you wish.
We would definitely stay again.

Mirella was very helpful and responsive to our queries, and overall was a great hostess. The apartment was a great location for all our activities and needs.

The property's location is really its selling point. It is located equidistant between the Coliseum and Vatican, if one is able to walk a couple of miles in either direction. Also bus service at the end of her block for those who don't want to walk. Also, within a 5 minute walk are numerous outdoor cafes, a beautiful square and many little shops. Great nightlife all around her place. I can't imagine a better location within Rome for someone wanting to be in the central, older part of the city. Mirella was absolutely a warm and wonderful host, even waving to us early in the morning when we were getting in our cab to the airport. She arranged 3 different legs of transportation for us, flawlessly. It took away the stress of trying to figure that out in a strange city. Just a suggestion for perhaps a new mattress on the queen bed as the current one is saggy and thin - not super comfortable after being on your feet all day. All in all a 5 star experience.

Great location
Wonderful host

The location was great. We were able to walk to all the usual attractions of central Rome and also we felt we were in an area of Rome that was authentic and not too touristy.
We were close to lots of restaurants, shops & cafes.
And Mirella was lovely!

Host Mirella gave us everything we needed for a great stay. The property was clean, conveniently located and had everything we needed for our stay. Mirella had great communication with us, both before we arrived, and throughout our stay, and made navigating check-in, getting around Rome, and check-out very easy for us. The apt was well located for shops, restaurants, taxi stand, etc. We had a great stay and would definitely stay there again if we ever return to Rome!!
4.8
Mirella is a wonderful host. She arranged airport transportation and gave us helpful advice in planning our first trip to Rome. The apartment provided everything we needed and is close to wonderful restaurants and attractions.
4.8
Everything was fine
4.8
The place is coveniently located in the old town area within walking distance to Vatican museums, the Colosseum, Trevi Fountains, etc (if you enjoy walking). Mirella is super kind and gave us a lot of tips on how to get around. She is very attentive to our needs and showed a great hospitality. The place is large enough for a family of 4. The bed sheet may be one size smaller than the duvet but worked. We really enjoy the place and will definitely stay here again if we come next time.
4.8
Mirella was a gracious hostess. She helped us with transportation both ways to the airport and loaned us a small appliance when I wanted to cook something for Easter dinner. She was always very available to answer questions before we arrived.
The location of this apartment is fabulous!
Mirella even offered help to my son if he needs any help during the rest of his academic stay in Rome. Truly kind.
I highly recommend this apartment to any small family visiting Rome!
4.8
Mirella was an excellent host. She arranged our transportation to and from the airport, provided us with a lot of information about the area and was available to us whenever we had questions. The shower drain was slow but otherwise the apartment was fine for us with all the amenities needed, and extras like a modern TV. The location was great for exploring the city and was close to restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores and pharmacies. We would happily stay here again. Thank you for all your help, Mirella.
4.8
The location was perfect. Mirella made things much easier for us. She booked taxi’s for us and made sure we were getting into the correct one. Thank you Mirella!
4.8
Lovely host who is very helpful. Great location in Rome easily within walking distance to Vatican and Piazza Navona. Apartment is spacious but rustic and mattress in bedroom not conducive to a good nights sleep. Great location and price, but comfort is sacrificed.
4.8
The property is located in the middle of everything you might want to do in Rome. Mirella was a great host and helped us with anything we needed. Close to taxi stand, bus stops, and the on/off tour bus it's only a 5 minute walk if desired. Our preference would have been a more comfortable mattress.
4.8
Some of the best location for all the attractions. The apartment is super cozy but a bit worn. Mirella is very helpful and a great host.
4.8
We really enjoyed our stay. Mirella, our hostess, was very helpful. She was also very accommodating when we arrived a day early which was my mistake.
Thank you Mirella
4.8
Mirabelle was an excellent host who was very warm and welcoming to our young family. Thank you for your generosity during our short stay in your charming apartment and for making this trip so memorable!
4.8
Our family of five had a great stay at Mirella's place in Rome. It was walking distance to everything we wanted to do during our four-day stay and Mirella provided excellent communication, even helping us with transportation from the airport and a taxi to the train station when we departed. Highly recommended!
4.8
Mirella's apartment is spacious, excellent location, about 10 minute walk to St. Peter's square and Pantheon, many restaurants, shops and a great cafe just around the corner. It is a bit older unit, to be sure, but everything worked including nice hot shower, much needed each day after exploring the eternal city. Mirella is very helpful, even helped me booked an event that required an Italian phone.
4.8
Lovely apartment in convenient location to everything. Host was extremely helpful and welcoming. Only had a slight issue with the shower not draining quick enough to have a proper shower, but otherwise accommodations were lovely.
4.8
super convenient location, nice and safe neighborhood, small but efficient kitchenette and restroom.... most of all extremely nice and well organized host! Thank you, Mirella!
4.8
This is my third time staying at Mirella’s apartment and I even checked her availability before booking my flight to Rome. What makes this “my” place in Rome is simple——Mirella and the street, via dei Banchi Vecchie.
Starting with Mirella. Her care (she even comes down to make sure the car she has ordered for your transport to airport, no matter the hour), concern and welcome makes you feel at home. I have visited with family, friends or solo and it is a joy to be there. As an older solo woman, I knew that if friends or family could not make it, Mirella would make sure I was ok. No small thing for sure.
And the street. This year there were even more shops, stores, restaurants on it but not spoiling
the character and charm of the Centro Storico. Even a marvelous gelato place next door! Convenient to so many places. We walked everywhere from Campo di Fiori to the Colosseum to the Vatican. Just a superb location.
If you are looking for luxury, 5 star accommodation, thus is not the place for you. I think the reviews are accurate. For me, this is the place and Mirella is a lovely, very special person.
4.8
The location is excellent. Close to all major sites. Mirella is a lovely host. As others have mentioned, the bed is very hard and uncomfortable. Also, the bath towels need replacing.
4.8
We had the best stay in the apartment - it’s an incredible location just a short walk from all the famous locations and has a couple of wonderful bars, emote cars and restaurants nearby. Mirella is a wonderful host and we felt very happy there.
4.8
The apartment was exactly as seen online. Old fashioned but very clean and in a lovely neighborhood. Mirella was wonderful and very helpful. For a long stay it would be wonderful.
4.8
The host was most helpful arranging transportation for us on various outings where we wanted a Taxi.
The flat was just ok. Not a window in the place . The bed was so hard my back ached the entire stay and my husband could not sleep on.
Very dated
4.8
Property was very good. Enjoyed shared terrace on rooftop with view of St. Peter's. Great location for all major tourist attractions. Quiet location as well. Mirella was very helpful with our questions and her suggestions.
4.8
The apartment is perfectly located - Near enough to walk to all the major sites and in a nice, safe, bustling neighborhood. The mattress is the hardest I've ever slept on, and the furniture is a little worn. But, overall, its fine and met our needs. Mirella was a very helpful host.
4.8
Our first impression carried through the entire stay. We were warmly welcomed! Mirella was such a delight. She gave us a short tour of her neighborhood and apartment. I loved the area, it was in the heart of everything. We always felt safe walking Rome, from 8a to midnight, we walked everywhere and the apartment was easy to get back to for a quick nap and then a night out on the town.
4.8
My friend and I so enjoyed our 3 nights at mirellas. The apartment is in a quaint neighborhood with lovely bakeries, gelato shops and restaurants. Mirella gave us many recommendations as well as access to the rooftop terrace. Mirellas place was only 10-15 minutes to Vatican City and 30 minutes or less from most tourist spots like the colosseum, Trevi fountain etc. would definitely stay again!
4.8
It was a wonderful trip. Maria was fantastic. She scheduled bith out pick up at port and to the airport. The apt was spotless and had everything we needed. She provided lots of helpful info on restaurants and other attractions and made sure through we had everything. She was a pleasure to meet and hope to get back in the future and would 100% stay here agaun
4.8
This location was perfect. It is within reasonable walking distance pretty much in the center of all the major tourist hot spots and there are a ton of restaurants nearby within 2 minutes walking time. The host Mirella is very kind and responds quickly to communications and also is a huge help getting a very reasonably priced cab to and from the airport. Even during a transportation strike she was able to get me a ride back to the airport. Would definitely stay here again
4.8
I agree with her description. The neighborhood is delightful, and much more fun than the American-centric area I stayed in the other time I was in Rome.
I agree with other reviewers who said the bed is a bit hard for our taste, but the beds in the living areas are very comfortable, so whatever your preference is, it's not a problem.
The details that Mirella attend to are impressive. So many thoughtful touches - like even leaving a rain poncho and umbrella to use. We were lucky and didn't need them, but it was nice to know they were there.
The apartment is clean, attractive and comfortable. It also has a small private courtyard, and a wonderful rooftop. Go up there and enjoy the sunset!
4.8
We chose this because of the location, which is great! A short walk to the Vatican, Piazza Navonna, Campo di Fiore, and the Pantheon. It is a slightly longer walk to the Forum and Coliseum, but very doable (or there are buses). And let’s not forget there are two patisserie is in the Gelateria and several restaurants within just a few steps.
The apartment itself was very nicely furnished and plenty of room for us and our things and it has a lovely little courtyard and access to a roof deck which we used. The kitchen is tiny, but we didn’t use it to cook though I assume it so it would be very usable.
One thing you should be aware of if you’re coming in the summer is there’s no air-conditioning in the apartment but there were some fans. We came in September when It cooled down a little bit, but I don’t think it would’ve been too comfortable in the heat of the summer. The other thing that we found is that the beds are very hard although not painfully so just it’s something you should be aware of.
Finally, the owner, Mirelle, was absolutely wonderful. She met us when we arrived. She made sure we were all set up in the apartment and knew everything was. She arranged for transportation to the airport when we left and gave us lots of good information about the local area. We would absolutely stay here again.
4.8
. Mirella was a pressure to meet. The place is centrally located..The location is in with the locals. Which believe me is nice. There is a Vino bar very close by. I would most definitely stay there again. There is only one thing which is more of a preference. The mattress little hard. But don’t let that stop you from staying there.
