My family spent one week in Boothbay Harbor for our first time to Maine. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of this small coastal town. Nothing disappointed us. Karen was great to work with! The location of this property is so close to everything in Boothbay. The only negative to this property is that there is no A/C, but fans are provided.

So easy to feel at home in this comfortable cottage. Cheerful blue, white, and yellow colors. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the tides ebb and flow. So relaxing. Owner, Karen, was in touch making sure all was good. We loved the fruit basket and fresh flowers upon arrival. Pretty gardens add to the view. Easy walk to town. Best lobster roll (taste and value)10 min walk at Dunton's Doghouse. When you see law enforcement eating there, you know it's where the locals go. We loved this home.

My husband and I enjoyed our week renting the second floor of The Captain’s House. The rental is spotless, the furniture is comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked. There’s a wealth of books and brochures on things to do in the area. Hanging out on the second floor porch was heavenly. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Mill Cove House for 3 weeks, and enjoyed every minute. You could not beat the location especially If you enjoy a short walk to town for dining & shopping. Karen is beyond the best host of any place we have ever rented. I highly recommend this property.

Great location
This was a great Boothbay Harbor location. Nice walk to the heart of the harbor. Plenty of activities on land and sea. It offers a water view, plenty of room for 2 of us. Karen is a gracious, helpful hostess. I would definitely recommend and return to this location.

Excellent Location, Excellent Hosts, Excellent Experience
We were very impressed with the location, close enough to walk to the harbor, but far enough away that there was no noise or crowds. Karen was a gracious and kind host - with wonderful recommendations for where to eat, fun local events, and quick responses to any questions and concerns. The home was roomy and very comfortable with a full size kitchen and a large private covered deck with a gorgeous view of the harbor. We can not wait to come back!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Captain’s House for a month this summer. The condo is charming, spotlessly clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of Mill Pond. We watched the tides roll in and out along with the shore birds and ever changing Maine weather. I was able to walk the short distance to downtown Boothbay every day and we took several boating trips to view the surrounding islands and lighthouses. The gardens here are beautiful and the area is fragrant with flowers! The best part of our stay were the hosts. Karen and Julie live on the premises and made us feel welcome with fresh flowers and incredible home baked goodies every week. This rental was outstanding and we won’t hesitate to come back!

Sister vacation
This was the best VRBO experience we have ever had. The property was perfectly located. It was close enough to walk to town but far enough away that we weren't in the middle of the hustle and bustle. The deck/porch was a big plus we really enjoyed. But the best thing about this property was Karen, the owner. She lives on site and is a wealth of information and recommendations. She made sure we had everything we needed and by the end of week, we felt like we'd made a new friend. This was a wonderful property and we really enjoyed our stay!

Just about the best holiday I ever had!
The condo just sparkled. I cannot give enough credit to Karen for providing such a wonderfully warm, inviting, and safe (very clean) environment......especially with the covid-19 concerns. I hesitated, due to covid, but was quickly assured all is well here. The condo is adorable, the views outstanding, location is perfect. I was so comfortable and enjoyed my stay more than I can say. Thank you to Karen and Julie! I cannot wait for my next vacation with them. Do not hesitate to give this sweet place a try.

Wonderful Stay!
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week in Maine. This was our first time staying in Boothbay and our first time staying in town in something other than a cabin. This lovely apartment did not disappoint. We enjoyed the amazing view of Mill Cove from every window and loved having our coffee & tea out on the porch each morning. We even enjoyed breakfast and lunch out there too! What a view. The place was immaculate and our host Karen was very attentive to our needs. We walked to town each day and enjoyed many day trips from this location. This is a wonderful place to stay!

Everything we needed and more to make the week relaxing. The property is located near many areas we wanted to visit with minimal effort to get there.
Loved having the private porch overlooking the cove. Furnishings were as advertised and the history of the house fascinating. Thanks Karen for your help when we needed it.

We had a wonderful week in Boothbay Harbor and this unit was a short walk to everything but in a quiet neighborhood right on the cove. Karen was a wonderful host and helpful with suggestions for things to do. Would definitely recommend this rental!

Great location
We stayed in the two bedroom for a week in September. The apartment is beautifully maintained, comfortable, and in a perfect location. You can walk to shopping and restaurants. Karen was so helpful and was a wonderful hostess. One night, we mentioned being warm and she brought us a box fan, along with delivering a new corkscrew for our bottle of wine! There is a lot to do in the area and many places to explore. The botanical gardens should not be missed. You cannot go wrong with renting this perfect spot.

Wonderful Stay
My husband and I stayed in the 2 bedroom for a week. Loved the colors used !
Best of all was the porch - great views - tide in and tide out!
There was a huge family gathering in the large home next door. Was wonderful
to see so many generations having a wonderful time together. They had fireworks
over the water - fabulous !
Would only recommend that 1 couple stay here as there is no closet or place to put your clothes, etc. in
the queen room. we used the double as our closet. worked out great!
Would highly recommend this property to anyone. We just loved the place.
Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Wonderful Condo in Boothbay Harbor
My husband and I spent a week in the 2 bed condo and it was wonderful. Karen is the perfect hostess and had a welcome basket on the table for us when we arrived. Although there were only 2 of us, we wanted the 2 bed condo for the deck view of the bay and it was an excellent decision. We spent a lot of time out there to enjoy both the view and the wonderful cool breeze. The walk to town was quick and easy. The condo had everything we needed for the meals when we ate in. The condo is nicely furnished and decorated, and had so many thoughtful extras - lots of tourist information, blankets in the living room, heated towel rack, DVDs, 2 coffee machines, and a laundry room available in the basement. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others!!!!!!

There is only one place I would stay If I were to come back to Boothbay!!
I spent almost one month in Karen's cozy one bed condo in the delightful and perfectly placed Mill house.
From day one on move in, I was amazed at just what lengths Karen had gone too in order to supply every possible appliance you could possibly need! Plates, Keurig coffee makers, spare towels, super fast wifi, every cable channel and even down to the little touches like a full roll of good quality paper towels and magazines/puzzles. Karen had even supplied a portable towel warmer in the bedroom as she made me aware that they can be hard to dry in the Maine damp climate. The bed was awesome and the air con and heating allowed you to choose a perfect temperature that suited you. Hot water was immediate and the shower pressure was way way better than average or to be expected.
The exterior was just as delightful with lush gardens and awesome views of the bay. Laundry facilities were also available for free and worked fantastic.
Overall guys, if you are a couple looking for a perfectly placed and extremely comfortable apartment which you wont want to leave grab this if at all possible!!
Karen and her partner are super cool and make you feel right at home... I miss it :(

Great location and beautiful view of the cove

Great place to stay to explore Boothbay and surrounding harbors
Accommodations were very clean and comfortable......great place to come back to and relax after exploring Boothbay and the surrounding harbors all day. Karen, the owner, was very helpful and the welcome basket was appreciated. We recommend Mill Cove and certainly would consider renting again if we decide to revisit the Boothbay area. Another plus is its close location to the wonderful Botanical Gardens.

The perfect stay in Boothbay Harbor.
Unit B was clean, tastefully furnished, and well supplied . The beds and linens were very comfortable and cozy. The quiet neighborhood location was a ideal 10 minute walk to the center of Boothbay Harbor activity. The spacious back deck with a view of Mill Cove was a peaceful, quiet space for our morning coffee and evening sunset watch.
The owner, Karen, kindly provided us with a welcome basket and promptly took care of our every need.
Look no further. This is the place you will love to stay.

Great location, excellent accommodations
First time to Maine and we couldn't have picked a better spot. Two minute drive into town and close to the grocery store and other essentials.
Accommodations where just great. Clean, spacious and a great price. We will be back

Great property, highly recommend, excellent value.
Happy to say we have become regulars at this condo. The location is fantastic, a few minutes walk from BBH but away from the noise of the bars, and with a lovely view across Mill Cove. We prefer the 2nd floor two bedroom unit which is perfect for a couple we have plenty of room to spread out and an extra bed for any snoring issues, plus the view from the covered deck is lovely. The owners, Karen and Julie, are fantastic hosts - friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. They continue to update the property and refresh the décor - new windows and ceiling fan this year and some new furniture. This is not your typical drab, grimy vacation rental furnished with Grandma's rejects, this place couldn't be any cleaner, is well equipped and the décor is bright, cheerful and modern beach-y. Always plenty to do in BBH and surroundings - we are already planning for next year.

Wonderful, relaxing, beautiful vacation condo
We have stayed in the one bedroom condo twice now, August's 2013 and 2014. We loved it! The accommodations are well appointed, clean, and quiet.
Boothbay Harbor is a busy tourist town, and there's plenty to do. The condos are in an area away from the main part of the harbor, on a separate Cove. It's quiet and peaceful. There's a nice deck to sit on with views of Mill Cove, yard with picnic table, gas grill, and fire pit.
Local things that we enjoyed doing include swimming at several local swimming areas, visiting lighthouses, renting standup paddle boards in the harbor (easier than we thought it would be), and visiting the Maine coastal botanical gardens. We took an evening sailing cruise on the schooner Eastwind and visited other local towns for day trips. There are plenty of restaurants in Boothbay Harbor that are friendly to gluten-free or people with food allergies. Each time we stayed for a week in Boothbay Harbor, we also visited Bar Harbor and Acadia for a couple of days midweek (three hours up the coast).
We can also echo the other reviewer's comments on the gracious hosts, Karen and Julie. They greeted us with flowers and a basket of goodies.
